I'm so glad some one invented UA-cam so that years later I'll be able to watch this marvelous painting from another part of this world! Special thanks to you dear Paul for your endless kindness of sharing your art and talents with us. You always inspire me and I've learned a lot from you and still am! Hope to see more of you. And wishing you all the best ❤
Paul, your videos always make my day! Thank you for sharing your talent so generously, and for letting your personality shine through. Your paintings are always the prefect blend of organic and detailed, no matter how complex the subject matter. Enjoy the p̶a̶r̶t̶y̶ gin tonic ;)
Praying for you and your country. I can’t imagine. But I agree that Paul’s videos are able to bring joy to anyone who watches them. What a blessing to have this tutorial of a peaceful stream. No matter what anyone is going through. It made my day as well.
@paul - I love your style. you make this all look so simple and easy. I would love to know from you an easy way to paint gravel & dead grass /leaves on the side of the stream in more detail. pls help.
Love your painting as well as your sense of humour ! What a beautiful painting Paul and I can't wait to try it. Everyone at works calls Wednesdays "Watercolour Wednesdays" ! Thanks as always for your wealth of kindness to us all ! And hope you clean up the house from the parties before Margot gets home ! Cheers !
I've learned to paint landscapes by observing and trying almost all your tutorials over the past couple of years and I suspect I'm not alone. The English country landscapes are my favs....many thanks for all the colour mixing lessons, the tricks and techniques!
Wow such a beautiful painting and scene to paint. Wish I could walk on the bridge and look into the water. Well I’ve been painting for about five months. I finally painted my first full painting. It’s just some fruit with some leaves. I’m working on my brushstrokes. I have a lot to learn a long way to go. It’s hard to get time to do it because I’m a home health nurse. But I am completely enamored with watercolor. Have you painted a water scene where the fish are in the water like, maybe Koi fish or something like that? Party Harty. Love your channel
Thanks Paul for your wonderfull tutorials. I learned so much! I havent painted for a long, long time, there is lots of work on a organic dairy farm. But You are the one that motivates me to paint along with you and also create my own paintings! I enjoy your book, too. When the next party is goin on , let us know.. For a Jethro Tull tribute Band I will come all the way from bavaria, Cheers, Luggie
Oh yay 😃!!! I am so thrilled that you did this one this week. I was seriously thinking of giving it a shot as soon as I saw it when Margot posted the photo! It looks gorgeous, so peaceful & serene. I really appreciate you sharing your color mixing with us for the complicated greens. I am always struggling with my favorite color when painting. Thrilled that you both have enjoyed your holidays & have shared the wonderful photos of your fun trips. Thanks for sharing this wonderful inspirational video with us
Thank you Paul - especiall the tip and reference to video for the greens! It answered a question that I had! Your time and talents are so appreciated!! Janell
Lovely and refreshing! Thanks! Have to admit that I kept thinking what kind of a "thematic" shirt could he have worn for this one.... Couldn't come up with one....apparently you couldn't either....*wink* LOL
Thanks Paul I'm glad you had a nice break although busy. Lovely little painting and looking forward to trying it. What is the masking tape you use? Do you improve your painting skill even after all these years or do you develop different styles?
Hiya - the masking tape is just cheap builders low-tac tape. Yes I think we all get slow improvement over the years and also I love to try different styles - either loose, detailed or semi-abstract!
First I have to say this painting is so beautiful and inspiring. The water ripples are amazing. Second, you are a hoot! Why is it that while wives are away the hubbies must play. Lol. 🎉😂 Enjoy it! Life is meant to be fun. Third, I’m really enjoying seeing your palette in the video. 🎨 The process of mixing colors, how much, water ratio, etc. These things are better explained by showing rather than telling. I’m really looking forward to painting this one. Reminds me of my property and the stream. We don’t have an old bridge like this though. I wonder if I could get my hubby to build one. Lol. 🧱🚜 Prayers for a safe trip for Margot. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 God bless and much love! ❤️❤️❤️
Good afternoon, Jacqueline! I read your comment, Lol! Your husband is probably a very hardworking person, he will even build a bridge. This is not an easy task, because drawing is easier than building! 😄😄😄 Lol!Yes, I agree with you Paul should not relax without a wife, he need to do a general cleaning immediately before his wife appears on the doorstep! Lol! This is of course a joke!😄😄😄Today, on his video, he showed how to draw a raging stream, I have never tried it and I need to put this image method into practice. We have a heat of + 26 ° C, everything in the garden "burned out" from the heat, the flowers wilted apple trees, cherries, cherries, peaches , there will probably be no harvest🙄😲😒😔😔☹️😢! All the best to you and your family, have a good day and good luck!!! Adela.
@@adelabadova3105 oh no!! I pray the heat lets up! We are having a few cold days but soon it will be very hot here in the South. My blueberries are beginning to ripen. I need to go pick some before the birds eat them all. 🐤🐦 yes my husband is very handy. Very hardworking. He’s made a bridge already over the stream but it’s just a flat metal one. Very functional. He does his own form of art thats beautiful though. Mounting turkey tails and deer skulls. He will retire soon and then he can focus more on doing things he loves. Love and peace to you! ❤️🥰🙏🏻
@@ArtbyPaulClark lol! When my mom would leave for a trip I’d have the best parties. Lol. Of course I’d clean the place better than it was when she left. That’s how she knew I had a party. 🤦🏻♀️ so some advice. Clean up but not too clean. 😉
Good morning dear Paul💋👄❤️! I am very glad to meet you on our Wednesday, as always, in the watercolor studio! The obvious and most important question raised by this demo - What gin, with which tonic? Williams Elegant is my preferred painting gin. I'm not sure it makes my art better, but it makes me feel better about it 😊. Thanks for years of instruction and entertainment Paul.
I love your sense of humour 😄. Great painting as usual & it was nice to see your palette, even though filming was very speedy. Nice to see Powdermills too - I'm looking forward to it in September 👍
Yet another inspiring painting! Women’s rugby team and a Black Sabbath tribute band, when the cats away the mice will play😂😂😂. Thanks for the view of your palette as well, was nice to see!
Good morning Paul , so nice to have you back and as always Thank you for the beautiful tutorial , I can’t wait to get started on this before my grandkids get here !!
Dear Paulinochka💋! You need to run and quickly do a general cleaning in the house before Margot arrives and beats you with a frying pan or a rolling pin 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Lol! This is just a joke, don't be angry, dear 💋! But seriously, I really liked the video , an old picturesque bridge, of which there are many in England and no one are like the other. It's impressive how you mix colors and draw a seething stream, I have not tried this image method yet!!! Good luck to you dear and bye ... bye ... 💋💋💋❤️❤️❤️🎨🎨🎨🖼️🖼️🖼️✍️👍👍👍👍
Absolutely stunning demo. You are amazing Paul. I love your demos. One of these days when I am in UK, I would like to attend an in person painting session.
Love your videos Paul. It's such a pleasure watching your brush dance across the paper! I will try this one. I am away at present but attempting to paint the plough I sketched whilst we were attending Powder mills with you and Margot. A truly lovely experience and learning curve.
Enjoyed seeing the pallet, I recently purchased a ceramic pallet with wells all around and two large mixing areas. So nice to mix colors and not have a small plastic pallet scooting around on the desk : )

Great videos Paul. I am watching them everyday. I have a question that maybe you could answer with a video. As I am now confident to use more expensive paper such as arches is it ok to use both sides especially if the first is not a masterpiece?
Hilarious! I love your videos. I took the liberty of making 2 small versions of this for my dad and my father in law for Father’s Day, not nearly as nice as yours, but I think it’ll be ok for a little card. Look forward to another one and than you very very much.
