I did comment before about the lifting of the block face in the vicinity of the bolts. It's not due to cylinder pressure, it's due to the preload in the bolts. A common occurrence in many areas of engineering, well known by us structural engineers.
Since you started the 2nd channel, you seem more cheerful, more relaxed, and more at home with everything. It looks good on you, and I rather like these little side trips (the motorhome dealer). Fun. Thank you. Cheers from the USA.
Great work guys I can't wait to get you guys build me an engine not gonna be until next year though need to save abit first no point going in half assed
I know of a motorhome that might be coming up for sale, thought it depends on when it gets released from Police Scotland impound - it's being sitting on a driveway since bought, before the impound - Contact SNP HQ
Hi Lee, if Ray is looking at a Fiat Ducato based Motorhome check that water has not got into the injector valley,if the screen is not sealed properly at the bottom or leaking through scuttle ,it makes the injectors almost impossible to get out as they get corroded in👍
You Have to remember If you are building a race engine to run at race power settings, boost and fuel then you cant expect them to live more than one race weekend without a total refresh...
Instead of a flat top on that piston, i would have left a dam wall around the milled side of the piston. It would have directed more of the charge away from the rings. Similar too that used piston you picked up.
Weather report states it's going to lash it down tomorrow, with large wind gusts to boot! Tack care on track and fully fasten down the new tent. Enjoy lads, looking forward to any track time you decide to share!
whatch the payload on motorhomes especially 6 berth ones you might find with 6 people and the gazebo you have no payload left for anything else some can be up plated but then you need c1 on your licence
I’ve seen a Cosworth Head 2nd advertised locally here in Australia for $7000 aud which is about £3600 is that about what they go for? Advertised as original condition but head skimmed in the past.
A rather boring comment im afraid but be very careful about kust how much legal payload these motorhomes actually have. A six berther will be overloaded with just 6 people in it never mind taking food drink clothes or bedding. A big 'garage' at the back is easy to fill up but because its behind the rear axle the liad will lever onto the axle and overload before you know it. The Mohawk does have a Max GVW greater than 4T so there's more to play with than the 'standard' 3.5T vans but of course you need a Class C1 license to drive it. Your father in law looks old enough to jave one as of right with his car licence but anyone under 48 or so will have to have passed a separate test.

There is a well appointed motor home going spare near Edinburgh. Bought in error by some strange woman called Nichola…

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Motor home needs a 7.3L V12 Benz engine!! Geared right, it will technically be capable of driving up Mount everest!!!

The thread insert business advertising suggests that they can actually be stronger than the original threads, is there any truth to that claim?
