    Generally large air volume blasters like this are very inconsistent in velocity when you try using them with weak springs at low velocity. They're really designed to excel at high velocity 250fps - 300fps at a minimum.

      @@dangermaus9253 Agreed, it depends much on how big your game area is. But the first rule in most organized nerf clubs is "Don't be dick" which means use some judgement and don't tag someone at close range with 300 fps blaster (which can draw blood or worse at at less than 30 feet) and carry a lower powered secondary, like a 150 fps flywheel pistol, for when the range gets to 50 feet or less. Nerf darts lose speed very quickly once they leave the barrel. 300 fps at the muzzle is doing less tha 150 at 100 feet.

    I also noticed a lot of inconsistencies with my harrier…..until, I put worker bamboo darts in it. I don’t know why but I was seeing a 5-6 fps deviation with those darts. It likes those darts they were very consistent and very accurate. Give those a try and see if you get the same results.

      Agreed. The Worker Bamboos are the most precise darts I have ever used. At 130 fps from my well tuned HvZ and 150 fps cap game blasters with the correct BCAR twist rates, I am getting sub-six inch groups at 50 feet (in low wind). With my 300 fps Swift and 5* BCAR I'm getting sub 18 inch groups at 100 feet. Impressively precise out of flywheelers, too with about 10 fps loss compared to the Worker Gen 4 darts.

    I like the picatinny rail at the bottom of the front end. I'm a big fan of bipods and have 3 of them so having the option of easily attaching a bipod is real plus. Bipods are great if your running a sniper build. The Harrier itself looks great and if I hadn't bought a Jetblaster CEDA, a dartzone Nexas, and 2 Dartzone Tomcats, I would definitely get the harrier and make it my go to blaster. Oh and I guess I'm one of those that subscribed, I mean if your watching this video, why wouldn't you?

    • @FelixstoweFoamForge
      @FelixstoweFoamForge Рік тому +1

      Good man with the CEDA. With metal upgrades and a 16kg spring, it's a beast. And the new worker short darts, the ones with the slightly more rigid foam, it'll hit 260fps. Plus I love the ergonomics!

    • @shadowreaver1851
      @shadowreaver1851 Рік тому +1

      @@FelixstoweFoamForge Back when I bought the CEDA it was virtually the only blaster you could buy that shot half length darts and it was the hardest hitting thing you could own. Unfortunately I bought one of the earliest versions which meant it didn't come with an airtight plunger so it was pretty mediocre. But soon after jetblaster came out with an upgrade kit and once I got that it was getting very good fps and the prime is super smooth. I then went about adding a custom forward grip, a red dot sight, a metal bipod, and an AR collapsible buffer stock. All of those parts made it a lot heavier but it was well worth it.

    All I'll say is this, for the money, the harrier is a great blaster, no doubt, but for someone like me who wants to customise my blasters with different options I think the trion is better, yes it might not be aswell made, despite being injection molded aswell, however the fact you can change the fps easier than the harrier and the fact you can change, the pistol grip, stock and foregrip so easily(Which I'm aware you can probably do with the harrier aswell). it's my preferred option given the price difference, plus the trion has slamfire if you want to use it. But this is just my opinion.

    In the paintball world back in the day Delrin bolts were always sold as "self lubricating" as they wore in. Dont know how true it all was since the o-ring did most of it but there had to be something to it. Easy to machine too? Only seen on friction parts I think. Someone please elaborate.

    @Roblecop Рік тому

    I do mechanical design professionally. The choice to use Delrin was a smart move on their part. Delrin can take more of a beating than people think. I use Delrin parts all the time in my designs. It's cheaper and lighter than milled/turned aluminum. 7 times out of 10, it's just what I need. Metal parts aren't the end all be all. In this case, for its use as a plunger, Delrin should be just fine. Unless you're trying to tune this to hit 600+ FPS for the rest of the blasters' life span , a Delrin plunger head should be just fine.
    Nice vid Walcom! I might get this one someday.

    I think the only thing I like about the Swift more than the Harrier is the looks. I love the angular sci-fi look of the Swift a lot more than the more milsim-y silhouette of the Harrier, and it feels a lot harder to misconstrue as a firearm (in, say, lowlight situations where the colors aren't standing out).

    With highest power spring 1.6, how does the strength required to prime compare to a nexus pro with a 1 inch spacer? I like high fps, but my nexus pro with spacer is quite an arm workout!

    The swift looks way better and all the issues have all been easily resolved, i love mine. If you want a blaster that just shoots just 150 fps or lower you have a very wide range of options (ceda, nexus, stryker, tomcat, aeon pro, trion, dictator, conquest, MK2, etc.) that cost less then half a swift or a harrier. Why even bother trying to make this go low? I don't buy a porsche to ride 50 km/h either....

    • @COMET_C01
      @COMET_C01 Рік тому

      The only reason someone would want the harrier to shoot low fps is for scalability purposes. Think about it If the harrier can shoot 130 fps it can be in hvz and if the blaster can shoot about 150 it can join the majority of nerf battles and if it can hit around 250 you can go for advanced game modes. At least that’s my take.
