Seeing this got me all chocked up. My my best friend/ uncle had one the same color and hood scoop I built for him. He passed away from lymphoma. I miss seeing him cruising around with his girlfriend. She was there for him every day and night till the vary end. She took him for one last cruise in it before he got on hospice.i followed them in my my 65 fastback mustang. He really loved old cars. Muscle cars, hotrods, roadsters, customs, trucks, motorcycles. We built a couple of choppers and rides together.
Spent many a weekend cruising in one similar in the 70's. These cars were pretty fast with just a few bolt ons. Street racing was something til emissions hit and gas embargo and Jimmy Carter inflation. OH SNAP, here we go again boys.
Sure remember that !!
Those were the days, I drove a 68 Chevyll w/4spd. I raced everything on four wheels, freaking car was scary fast.
Yeah, thats one bad azz z-28!
I do remember the Carter years, crazy, but he's the reason we NEVER want another government MANDATE . His admin created a criminal enterprise with the " mandated" 55 mph nationwide, coast-to- coast, border - to - border speed limit. Corruption and theft from the motoring public was absolutely criminal. That mandate should've been lifted , as promised, when our gas crisis was stabilized, which was about 4 to five years, but it remained another 20 years because every municipality in the country was rakeing in the money from the radar gun toting highway bandits. They were always out of uniform too, as they never covered their face with the Bandito bandana! It was so hard to give up the cash cow . American motorist vs Radar )))))))))))))))RaDaR((((((((((((radaR $$$$$$$$$
@@melvinjohnson633 Yeah man we lived in the best of times . As far as our machines went. Despite Vietnam, protestors, Kent state massacre, and Jimmy Carter. Funny how Biden Is doing everything exactly bass ackward, just like Carter. High gas prices, high inflation, and mandates designed to bleed America taxpayers to death.. when the 55 mph was put into place around 75 I was rolling in a red 70 Torino Cobra 429 SCJ scat pack. The most expensive car zI ever owned to maintain.
oh cool someone let their ten year old do their first upholstery job on those headrest, how cute...other than that nice ride cant beat those tail lights on those 2nd gen camaros
6:58 it looks like a whole tube of permatex on the front of the oil pan, it is a used car
I think there’s issue with front seal leaking and prematax is not the answer. Same reason why under the car looks like it’s oil everywhere.
Please Nick.....send some of that rain
to San Francisco!!! 😉 😉 😉
If you want, you can also send the Camaro. 😂😁😂
Rain is illegal in California, don’t get these guys in trouble
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
My granddad had one in the seventies that he liked to call the silver bullet, he’d always be drag racing it and scaring the crap out of my aunt back then.
Maple Motors…. What a great company!!! I don’t remember how I found Maple Motors … but I’m telling everyone to watch your videos.
GREAT JOB NICK !
Thank you
My uncle bought a 73 Camaro when he got out of the service. I use to ride in it 3 or 4 times a week. What a fun car back then. Love the color.
Headliners are over rated anyway! Ha!! But you know I'm grinning after hearing the 2nd gear chirp!! It always gets the hairs on my arms to stand!! Love it!!!
I remember this from 2 years ago. Only difference is braided hoses and a working horn and of course inflation but that's to be expected. I can't believe the buyer from 2020 only put 500 miles on it
Nice Z but that z28 stitching hideously done and wished they fixed original gauges for time capsule value. And seeing lots of oil under the car……
I always love early 70's camaros.Sexiest gen camaros imo. This one seems to running strong too.Somebody will have a nice head turner in this one.
Agreed indeed over priced. More emphasis should be payed to such things as : is it numbers matching engine and or drivetrain. Saying it's a 350 doesn't cut it.
@@johnnyfish4201 Overpriced agreed w/o matching #'s.But someone with too much money will always pay it for this body style.
dispite its 'flaws' ...dam nice car for the money. and im a mopar guy.
Wow what a coincidence I just pick up my Camaro z28 1971 and she looks just the same. Even the motor upgrades are similar hehe.. I wouldn't be supprise if it was yours XD
You know with $10 a gallon gas in the near future unfortunately I won't be able to drive my old classic as much this year. This is a sweet ride Nick love it ✌️
LGBFJB!
Why does gas have to be so high 🤦🏽🤦🏽and stupid black outs this summer. Something needs to change, quickly.
Pretty sweet ride all around. The first to go would be the amateur embroidery...and find out what that is smeared around the front oil pan seal.
Yeah, that 8 is just awful
@@charlieandhudsonspal1312 yep, I guess they got impatient near the end.
This is one beautiful Camaro! And it's a healthy runner. You guys picked up some beauties this week.
Sweet looking Camaro especially a 4 speed, those split bumper Camaro s are harder to find this clean 👍 Nick sweet ride 🔥 American muscle 💪
Not a real split bumper, instead of horizontal parking lights a real split bumper has round parking lamps next to the headlights. This is a conversion and most who convert them don't seem to want to spend the $$ to replace whole front fascia to get correct parking lights, still a beautiful camaro.
Nice mine was auto. Like update on instruments. Needs some work. Thanks for the ride. So. Cal. ✊🏽
Damn I love the split bumpers!
Real split bumper car has round parking lamps next to headlights, not horizontal ones down below, this is a conversion
You had this car advertised on Feb 18 2022. I can't believe you still have it. Or did a sale fall thru. It looks and sounds great.
if this beauty was mine, I'd have to get a Muncie M-22 Rock crusher for it, the transmission sings to me.
Love the Camaro second gens. Had the last year of the second gens a black with red strips Z28, someday when finances allow i'd like another and miss the one I had when younger. Smiles 😃 from Canada 🇨🇦
Nice looking car needs a little bit of work to make it great. I love that body style. Yes sir l would buy it. Would make a nice Ride. 💯🔥👍
It sounds good , looks good but needs quite a bit of work.
@@earlives1553 yeah it might do it. Don't know until you check it out. Love the the 73 body style.
you had to show one of my top favorite cars didnt you lol im loving this one
As an old Auto Glass Tech I sure hopes that’s urethane around on that windshield and NOT silicone.
Had a 70 Z28/LT1 350/360
Very beautiful amazing looking car beautiful colours thanks Nick have a very nice day mate
These are awesome resto mod track car platforms. There are tons of bolt-ons for these bad boys.
Watched it twice , nice ride !’
The Buyer got one really nice Z28 Camaro thats for sure! And the price was more than reasonable for the Condition it was in.One Sweet Camaro and more than enough power to have fun with!Wish it was in my Driveway thats for sure!
I Had an 70 n a Half , 500 HP 4 speed Hurst Traction Bars and torsion Bars , Rack n Pinion Steering , Solid Lifters , Flared Fenders with Good Year N 50’s With Deep Dish Craig-ors Bad Ass Car had it 155 MPH .
All the cars this week have been outstanding.! Excellent!
Thank you
Great price the horn works 👨🏾🦲👍🏾
Hey my Southern Brother, is this one a true Z28 car? Needs some work, but has a good foundation!!
Worth it flows swaybar 4speed horn works eletro fan trunk stays up stock radio face yeah.
clean and classy all the way down to the wheels, which are like they should be small with lots of sidewall. would have preferred a flat hood tho
i want this car so bad lol that thing sounds good and run strong
Nice!!!!!
Holy cow, this one is NICE!
Temp sender should be fitted above number one cylinder plug. I’ve seen people fit it into water neck which is no no.
Love Camaro’s, what a beast
I had mint camaros in my life time. And I just gave them awy.
My favorite year and color Camaro!
I got a 73 4 speed. Not a z28 though. I will clone it anyway and go all modern drivetrain ect ect.
In the day, In the day Man in the day. Thats were the cars were real cars,
Beautiful Camaro the heat gauge has to be right because you can get a 160 stat
That is a strange place to dump the exhaust (right behind the diff). Like the split bumper ‘73, used to see ‘em everywhere in high school.
It sounds very good 👍
BEUTIFULL CAMARO
🙏👍😍♥️
Lol. No A/C is a deal breaker for me. I'm old.
The dramatic pause
It’s about that time ………………………………………………………………………..Let’s go for a ride
Cool!
🔥
What is that crap on the oil pan?
@@brianmccall8071 WoW 😂
It looked like grease, or a horrible jb weld attempt to stop a leak.
Probably leaking bad from front main seal, and no amount of silicone or JB weld is not going to stop the leak. Pressurized oil will find a way out. It’s about 3 hour job taking balancer out and replacing the seal. Lazy owner
The whole underneath is soaked
Needs a bit of work. But nice old Camaro.
Hey Nick...how many beards did you grow since I last commented ? Love the split bumper brother...need to lay off the Challenger first
Lol nice id say 3
Like the late 60s models much better.
What a Baby Doll, oooo la la, beautiful 🤩
I had a beautiful metal flake 71 back in the 80s "chick magnet"
Talked with my brother about this car and he was told it was already sold. Website says it's still available???
It sold yesterday
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate bummer
@@BUGBYTE_ so its back?
@@nathanwilson2428 wut?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Do you come across VW bugs 56 - 66 looking for one
WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Nice.
Can you tell if the floors have any rot holes? It looks like it has fiberglass in some spots of the floor and last is it a real Z28?
To be honest..... I ONLY want cars that set off alarms
Heck yea nice ride
Thanks buddy…
my favorite fast car
Just yes!
It looks like fiberglass repairs up inside the front door hinge areas rust bubbles in the middle of a panel is not a good sign and the mess on the firewall is an issue.
The front seal on the engine is full of silastic and the gearbox covered in oul leaks fron oil blow backs.
This car needs 20k spent on it and a better car for 40k would be more easy to drive away in. That stupid hood is horrible as is the seat covers.
Looks like rust is a problem.
I would gi $20,00.
That 79 camaro for a lot less is better buy.
These guys get some real nice cars and i would buy from then no problem.
Aftermarket gauges are all made in China,, i want American.
Did anyone else see the amount of silicone on the front of the oil pan?
Beautiful!
🤩🤤
I’m not buying this car because the cam is too small.🤣
To late sold less then 4 hours
