    I got the 360 cfs, multiplied by 86400 s/day * 30 days, then 10^-6 to get 933.12 Mft^3 all at the end. Made it very fast. This method would be correct right? Always appreciate your videos! They help me tremendously

    The time being monthly instead of 90 days doesn't make sense. U get 360 cfs over a 90 day period why use only 30 days

      Hi Dan, you would use 90 days if the data given was not monthly increments from January to March. Meaning, if the inflow and outflow data was given as the total inflow from January up to March (3 months = 90 days), then that would work. I was surprised you got 360 cfs, I am thinking that's by coincidence.

      @@directhubfeexam 500-250 = 250 420-535 = -115 525-300= 225. Add them up and it's 360. So I slept on it and I should take the avg over 3 months or 360÷3. Then use 120 to calculate over the 90 day period and I get the right answer. Is that the right way to think of this?

      @@dand7056 This sounds right! Just note, this would work only if the reservoir is starting empty. Also, the incremental method I showed in the video is more appropriate when trying to decide the maximum storage needed in a reservoir. We would compare the storage at the end of each month then choose the greatest value. This would be our maximum storage needed for the entire year.
