Nothing cooler than a T-top G body. I could be absolutely wrong but I thought those black plastic side skirt extensions were only on the 84 Turbo Z. I personally never saw them on 85 or 86 models. I do remember the problems Dodge had in 84 with them getting warped and torn up from curbs, speed bumps and debris on the road. It was a common problem in 84 just like the hood latch.
@@pmafterdark Maybe. I just remember back in 85 when I worked at a NJ Dodge dealer they stopped shipping them for much of 85 because they were easily damaged. Also the ones under the rocker panel ground effects were prone to being ripped off at highway speeds. They were not very good at all.
Always nice to find another Z. I hope it can be saved. You sure got a lot of parts with it. Too bad they weren't all NOS like the last one. I'm in the northeast, so you don't even need to ask me how I feel about the cold weather lol.
Do you ever sell any of those T2 radiators? I briefly talked to you a while back on one of the facebook pages about my situation with a 89 Shelby Daytona, bottom couple rows rotted out and started leaking. Dropped it off at the only radiator shop in my area a month ago and they still havent even looked at it yet. I’m in no hurry as the car is parked for the winter but just looking into options on what i can do to get it back on the road.
@JoeFpoc the problem is idk anything about them. Id love to find a place to get them redone eventually. Id sell them once i can figure out id they are good. Just so busy I don't really have the time. I have to find someone to do some other work for me because I can't get the free time to do it
@ i tested mine by using a radiator pressure tester and plugged all the holes with old radiator hoses and giant clamps and sprayed the whole thing down with soap but yeah kind of a pain in the butt. What other option do i have? Can i run a full-size radiator and just relocate the inter cooler?
@JoeFpoc that's probably what we will do. Just trying to get caught up but that never seems to happen either. If you relocate the ic, then you will need to redo the hoses too.
Really enjoy you finding these cars. They were everywhere when I was in high school, but I rarely ever see them now.
I keep thinking "where will we find another one?" But somehow we do .
Nice find 😎👍
Thanks!!! Lots of great usable parts!!
My buddy had an Omni GLH in high school and I’ve been intrigued by all these cars ever since, this channel is perfect for me! Great content sir.
@andyo303 thanks!! My first car was a Shelby charger so been in love with these cars a long time
Ill definitely be watching the ebay for that airbox, I need the whole setup for my daytona.

That one would make a good driver with a few months of work. Way better than the last two Daytonas you had.
Yeah the last 2 were rough. If didn't gave the glh and glhs and Dakota Convertible id be more interested in this one.

The front air fence and side skirts were on 84' through 86' models.
@pmafterdark I'm talking about the flat black flexible plastic skirts that went 3 inches to the ground. No the painted Turbo Z ground effects
@@JCVACCARO That's what I was talking about. Those were on 84' through 86' models.

@@JCVACCARO I do agree that they were easily damaged but I had a new one in 84', and both 85' and 86' models over the decades and they all had them.
