Many people in the Minecraft community believed that there was a protection 5 or protection V enchantment. Many remember using this enchanted book, but it actually never existed.... Or did it?
Not Minecraft, But Water Rises or Minecraft, But Lava Rises, or any other but challenge like that. This is a speed run / speed runner of Minecraft against a killer / assassin but it is Dream

u kept typing "Protection 5" in the creative menu
If you type Protection 4 in the creative menu it wont work because its called Protection IV
so you shouldve been typing Protection V
either way its still not there
I noticed that after recording. But it still wouldn’t have worked with “Protection V” obviously. Also I tried other methods to obtain it, which also didn’t work as proof. Thanks!
You can obtain it with cheats in any c world
it used to be in older versions of bedrock edition not xbox edition but the older versions of bedrock are inaccessible therefore you cant get it anymore
i don't ever remember prot 5 being a thing. i always notice people by mistake say "prot 5" or "protection 5" when referring to protection 4. i think it's people forgetting that protection actually maxes out at level 4, but remembering that it had a higher max level. most enchants with high max levels (above 3) have a fifth level (efficiency V, sharpness V, smite V, power V), so people extrapolate that pattern to protection which is actually one of the few exceptions, also including feather falling and the other specialized types of protection.
No it was a thing in servers. I used to play faction servers a lot and they'd add these bad ass enchantments including prot 5.
technically, there is prot 5 and higher, but it requires a bug. you have to do some stuff that involves RNG manipulation. basically skeleton horse jockeys have a low chance of dropping bugged helmets that can have prot levels from 5-8 so you just make a skeleton horse farm and bingo

In minecraft bedrock there is a server called cubecraft and in cubecraft u can select a mini game called battle arena and in that there is a chance u get lether armour with prot 5. And I'm playing in the version 1.21where I saw this and battle arena is a very popular mini game with sometimes 1000 players so that's why I think many ppl remember prot 5
prot 5 does exist, if a skeleton horse is struck by lightning, then the skeleton riders spawn (a group of skeletons riding skeleton horses) and they all spawn with enchanted iron armour. Because the enchants on the armour are completely randomised, and the enchantments are put onto the arbor through commands, you can get multiple different prot enchantments (fire prot, projectile prot etc...) on the same piece of armour, and I'm pretty sure you can get protection 5 as well.

I remember it too, but I had a 1.17 survival world and my maxed out tools only have protection 4
i HAD prot 5 and I remember it. I had an argument with my friends some days back and I was so sure that it existed yet after a quick internet search nothing came up. I've played Minecraft for over 10 years bedrock and java edition and I sure there was prot 5. More specifically in Java I remember that i used to combine via an anvil two pieces of Prot 4 and it gave me prot 5!!!
I remember in one of the original tutorial worlds on xbox 360/ps 3 there was a chest with protection 5

Protection 5 book exist, but you can't use it. When you upgrade to an exact 1.13 snapshot, some book, like Power 5, change its name to be protection 5

Legacy mc has never had any proct that goes above 4, why would the devs randomly deside to add an extra proct lvl

@@DryFruits1 there is one Java snapshot where you could get it, all enchant books id would revert to 0 but retain their level so a sharp 5 book would turn to prot 5 just as frost walker 2 would turn to prot 2, updating from 14w02a or later to 18w22b and 18w22c will cause this

If I have a book with protection 5 and try to apply it to an armor in Minecraft bedrock, the armor will be a protection 5? Or a protection 4? I'm asking cause in Java, the armors gets the protection 4 instead of 5.
I've been playing MC since 2016 and I'm sure protection v was a thing. I had a survival world with my brother and all my armor had prot v. Now if I load it only prot iv exists. I used to craft 2 prot iv to prot v on anvil...
Yeah, it’s very weird. I remember maxing out my new diamond armor with protection 5 in my old survival world a many years ago.

prot 5 is never something that has existed, unless it was commanded in or modded by some sort. Prot 4 has been the highest prot level we’ve had since the enchant came out lol - best guess is it was due to them using roman numerals people are very good at confusing IV V and VI and those sorts so it’s more than likely a placebo due to these factors - maybe 🗿. consider it a educated guesstimate

Protection V actually exists, as a bug, but you can get it in survival!! I have the protection V book in survival, but cannot apply it to an armor, cause the armor gets a protection 4 instead of 5. @@romper3319
@@Daikigiri That's not what the video was talking about or what I was talking about, getting higher protection bugged items ins't something new. For example, you can get a proct 6 helmet using a bug that involves the skeleton riding a skeleton horse (happens when a skeleton horse gets struck by lighting)
what I was saying is there has never been an officially added protection 5, it's always only been proct 4, and proct 5 or above has been attained through bugs.
Protection 5 would be on faction servers and modpacks. Yall are smoking something if you are serious above t remembering protection 5 in survival. But I swear you could get all protection enchants on armor.
Protection V has never been in the vanilla game. It's in mod packs though. I used to play Feed The Beast on version 1.3.4 (I think?) and 100% had it. I think it even had unbreaking IV
What about the people who have never used mods telling stories about them using it in their survival world? What’s your theory on that?

The most logical explanation is people were getting Protection confused with Efficiency or Power. The majority of the Minecraft player base is under 21 and kids have horrible memory.
or cuz hypixel skyblock's is protection five instead of four that's where my confusion came from at least 💀

Maybe if you downgrade a 1.16 world to 1.12.2 or older with a Protection book, you’ll get a Protection V book
I know people who have 32k enchantments I don't see why protection 5 couldn't have existed at some point.

I remember playing on tons of both java and bedrock survival servers having custom plugins that allowed getting "God enchantments" that went up to Protection X (10) even, and sometimes there were even items with all possible enchantments in the game on one item, even incompatible ones, and they all went up to enchantment.level.127 :DDD
