I've moved on to electric furnaces. I can't keep big tanks in my home studio w/o voiding my fire insurance coverage. Also no need to mess with flux and I can dial in the casting temp very precisely so no damaging the metal. If you are doing vacuum casting you probably are using an electric furnace anyway.

You are definitely taking a great approach! The main reason for casting ingots this way is for making your own wire or sheet.
