The only thing that makes me shy away from 1st Position is the fact that I'm still not where I want to be with bending, though I am progressing. Gonna have to keep at it, because what you did here is really cool.
Do you know what the true root note of the blues is? You...You are so laid back and cool, you turn a neurotic like me into a case study of what not to be. Thank you.
Great tips , Thank you. Sweet playing there whoa;) I like the way first position can go to the high end and low end. Snooky Pryor's Shake my hand is what I'm working on by ear. Tough sledding but will be worth it:) Thanks again
Hey Ronnie...I'm going to nickname myself broken-record backing track LOL...since it seems I'm constantly asking you. But in my own defense 🤣🤣, when you say "see if you can learn this riff by ear", if a backing track is playing when you do the riff, it is really helpful, at least for my ear, to play along with the track. I think it's because I'm hearing the Harmony along with the line you're playing. No rush though, whenever is fine. Great vid on first position 👌 thank you. I rarely play it so this was super helpful 👍 which tracks did you use for this 🤔
How are you Ronnie I taught myself how to play harmonica I used to hang around some great harmonica players such as Ron sunshine barbecue Bob and the spare ribs one of my friends was Stevie wanders girlfriend I started playing harmonica because of him he plays chromatic harmonica very well his main instrument everyone thinks is the harmonica but it's not it's the piano and keyboards he plays 8 instruments produces I talk to Annie Raines over-the-phone she gave me some material to practice some years ago nice lady a lot of a lot harmonica players who play blues harp don't know how to play chromatic harmonica I play chromatic harmonica
Also I know John Papa Blues Traveler he used to ask me to show him how to play chromatic harmonica he was a student at Columbia University in New York City which is where I'm from
I also know Adam fantastic blues harmonica player who played the street harmonica with a guitarist name Satan you might have heard of him Satan was an older man who played guitar backup with Adam
My 'A' harmonica is a Susuki promaster (m350)... Sweet tone but I can barely bend 2 and 3 draw notes... Oh, well maybe with more practice as I've only been playing harmonicas for 12 years. 🤪😂🤣
Dude!! Thank you fir the simplicity and slowness of your teaching!
Don't stop my guy.

I love that song and it's a very different approach to 1st position blues with the heavy use of the middle octave. Great tune.
I'm love this 🙂
