Excellent review! I love my 1944 Izzy M44, and I've had it for about 3 1/2 years, and I've fired well over 1000 rounds through it. It's by far my favorite gun! 5 stars!

Great vid. I got me a M91/30 about half a year ago and the vid still taught me some things I didn't know about the rifle. Great work.

Loved your videos. Went to watch one before work, ended up watching 3. I've been wanting to get my C&R - but there is sooo much to learn about all the different rifles and handguns it makes my head spin!

I picked up a hex receiver 1932 Izzy 91/30 that looks to be an Ex-dragoon rifle for 115 at a gun show. I never understood how the safety worked until your Pt.2 video, but that is the first and the LAST time I will use the safety as it is not easy to take it off safe. Thanks for the Video's.

Awesome piece of history that you can use. I just refinished my stock, what a cool rifle. Can't wait to get out & shoot it. The finish model makes me a little jealous.

I just got a 1942 dated Izhevsk last Friday. I shot it the Saturday after but not enough to form an opinion one way or the other.

The stock on your M39 looks superb. Mine unfortunately has a few gouges from being stacked in an arsenal somewhere, but does have a nice clear Sako cartouche. It's a 1942 build on an 1896 tang dated receiver.
Is your M39 a Sako? VKT?

I watched this video about a week ago and it persuaded me to go get one. I got a 91/30 made in 1939 for 100 bucks. I don't know if that was a good price or just average but i love this gun. I am definitely going to get more.

What do you sugest to stop the corrosiveness of the surplus ammo? I've heard of using soapy water, windex and today at the gun shop I heard kerosene or BBQ lighter fluid works the best? How much time do you have to clean the gun after shooting it?

Another great informative video. As said in other comments, length is fine. If we didn't enjoy hearing everything about a rifle we could, we wouldn't be watching youtube videos about them. I have never owned a mil surp rifle, and am looking for what I want to be my first buy. I am leaning towards this Nagants a great deal. What do y'all think?

@Iraqveteran8888 Hi good sir lol, I happen to have a question for you for these Mosin nagants, I dont knw your experience as a hunter but would you recommend these for hunting game?
I will say this would be my first High powerd rifle since i'm 17, but would you recommend it? Or should I save up and buy a brush gun thats much more modern that might do me better?
    Thanks for your time:D

  • @SSSDiaz7

JG sales and AIM Surplus, 79.99 and 89.99 + $10 hand select. AIM surplus has 1c shipping, but don't know if they extend that courtesy to firearms, or just ammo, J&G shipping is about $14-19 depending on where you live.

  • @mikestupak1809
    @mikestupak1809 7 років тому

Well, the two Mosins I own, I've never had any problems with loading them by the clips and cycling the bolt without 'stacking' the rounds an jamming from that, just as long as the interrupter works you should be fine.

@iraqveteran8888 I just picked up a really nice 91/30, and its got no pitting, a really smooth action and an excellent bore, the only thing that is slightly dinged up is the stock, but i was wondering where i could find some stripper clips so i can go out to the range and have some fun. Btw i love the videos, they are very informative.

man i need to grab one of these, still debating if getting the c&r is worth it or is it just easier to ship to ffl. main reason is both are the same price but on the other hand i wont use the c&r that much...gunshop in town is such a rip off. charging 250 for a chinese mauser that you can tell was rusted to heck and someone removed the rust. i wish i would have never sold my sks judging by the prices now. i paid 150$ for still in cosmo and made her a beauty!

1:10 I ralely ever concern myself with the way I stack the cases in the clips because the get jammed randomly anyway and a good operating interuptor will usually reduce that from happening.
