- Great fun flying her around until that infamous flyaway syndrome! It might be the stick transmitter glitching with the altitude hold functions of the receiver. This happened twice today, once outside as shown here and then inside.
I saw another review where the optical flow sensor was optional to install. They said it caused all kinds of control problems like it had a mind of it's own.
I replaced the control board and later it looked like the ESC was the main culprit and after replacing both she seems to be flying great again. I think there must have been a bad batch of motor controllers out there contributing to many flyaways and problems like mine.
@@Flight6677was it easy to find those boards and to install? I don’t know how to solder, thanks for the video
I have the same problem as you. At first I didn't understand. I've seen other people say that the c189 has many problems, but I just found out that at first it flew very smoothly. Suddenly it lost altitude, like the gyro malfunctioned. It flew in all directions like the flybarless electronic system had a problem. Sometimes it would accelerate itself into the sky.
@@wnu501 there is a known fix. The earlier models had a problematic gyro board that was “corrupted”. It needs to be swapped.
I think it’s a quality problem in some of the transmitters. Not all are like this. But they need to take care of this issue!
write on the forum so that the guys know if anyone wants to buy this helicopter
Maybe the batteries are weak in the transmitter?
@@Aleksandr_spb. no I have new batteries but that is also a possibility. RC ERA engineer said replace the board as it may be malfunctioning. I tried a new transmitter and it does not make a difference. When the time comes she climbs.
@@Flight6677плату регулятор?
I got the camo one and it's completely fine thank god,I always calibrate the gyros before takin off, always, didn't see you do that?,do you do that ever ie calibrate the gyros?
Yes. I have since replaced my ESC as it was faulty.
Does anyone know if its possible to bind this bird to a different transmitter instead of the garbage to comes with?
Yes its possible but I am not which one - and not sure its worth effort - I like the light weight radio - does the job for this bird.
Yes you can bind it with a tx16 I believe. Andrejsturm has some yt videos on rc era helps and explains how to. I think there's another radio you can bind it to that's a clone of the one I mentioned. I'm curious if I can bind it withy old dx6i, but I haven't tried it to see. I agree, I like the weight and simplicity of the stock one and it works fine. I wondered what would even be the point of the stop button that just killed it in flight being on a radio have, but maybe this is the reason. Got 2 of these, one in the matte black and the camo, and so far loving them.
the person put on another transmitter and it was the same, they discussed it on the forum
That person is me on the RCGroups forum.
Man you slowing down uploads now? Got used to a constant flow of content from you. Anyways your still doing great love the vids bro. You got an email someone can holler at ya through? You said you didnt do Facebook a few vids ago.
I had an injury and had to take time off. More video soon !
bro needs to write to rc era support, it's like that for everyone, apparently the problem is in the electronics, they have to fix it, it's scary now to buy this helicopter
Done. Reply was to change control board. I also directed them to all the fly away problems and perhaps they will go online and say something.
This is common? Thats scary!
On some early models it seems to be.
Mine did the same first flight.
there are around 300 or so models out there with bad gyros per the manufacturer. We were the unlucky ones.
here's another case of flying up a tree ua-cam.com/video/SqQY0K9OXY8/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Yes! From the beginning he had issues with the ESC and he should have just stopped and replaced the ESC.
