Nexa (aka VQ Models) - Canadian Twin Otter
Finished building this Nexa (supplied and manufactured by VQ Models) kit from Motion RC. Very nice quality, but it needs innovations and ability to solder wiring and electronics installation. Motors: Freewing/Flightline 3748 600kV Outrunners x 2
ESC: Hobbywing FlyFun V5 60A x 2 (with reverse activated)
Props: 10x7 3 Blade CCW and CW by Master Airscrew
Battery: 4S 5000mAh 60C
Test Performance:
Empty Weight: 8.5 lbs (3.85 KG)
Weight with battery: 9.8 lbs (4.45 KG)
6.25 lbs thrust (0.64 Trust/Weight)
742 Watts (76 W/lb)
46 Amps max.

This model is a kit by Flish RC, operating on 6s LIPO battery. It is a 500 size scale helicopter with a fenestron tail simulation. It has a H1 controller. Details can be found on FlishRC.com. Here I am flying and enjoying a snow day! Absolutely stunning performance - other than a need to re-caliber the home function.

Cool it has counter clockwise rotation with tail rotor on the left like most full size helicopters. Even the new Rotorscale Airwolf with retracts does not have scale rotation and it cost over 800 dollars. Tail motor is surprisingly quiet unlike larger helicopters. I rather have shaft drive on the larger helicopters with loud tail motors.
