1000% agree that most of these celebrities don't solely use products from their own lines, and their complexions aren't the byproduct of the products in their lives. They may use some, but by in large, their flawless skin is thanks to products and procedures from medical professionals. This is important in the makeup realm because makeup behaves much differently on skin depending on its texture.

If I had my own skincare line, I would use it. It would be my dream product I created, ticking all the boxes otherwise I wouldn't release it. Whether some people release any old shit as a cash grab is another thing lol. Celebs use products like La Mer, which seems like overpriced hype with jargon ingredients that mostly do nothing, so why not release something with amazing actives, something you are proud of and work on building a cult brand. Building a legacy is far more fulfilling than a strike it while its hot cash grab.
La Mer is horrid! Funny how some of the most seemingly elite of products can be so terrible. I was stoked to get this extremely costly Armani skin care for gratis. I also got Dior. Naturally, I just had to bust into that Armani immediately... As it turns out? The Armani is awful, while the Dior is wonderful! Some Lancome products even blew my socks off, and all this time (aside from their monsieur big mascara), I thought Lancome was just "old lady". The line definitely has it's misses, but some real hits as well! *Sidenote* Armani does have some truly amazing cosmetics and one outstanding skin care serum! Just beware, she's pricey at $420!
She's so delicate and gradual in her application. I appreciated this style of makeup so much more than the geometric contour designs people heavily paint on their faces and then beat down in shorts/reels/tiktoks. Working in thin layers with a light hand makes the skin look so healthy and well-maintained in comparison to thick layers and overdoing coverage right out of the gate. Especially over a certain age, coverage and texture in makeup are so aging.
That was surprisingly good 😂. I think I was expecting her to give us something more unrealistic (like so many celebs do), but JLo seemed to be genuinely familiar with her product choices and application. I kinda feel bad for being such a doubter 🧐☺️.
_Vogue Beauty Secrets_ is, by far, the best comic series ever on UA-cam. Here we have a parody of _Scott Barnes does The JGlow look on Tati_ Level: Caitlin Reilly and Adrian Bliss. 🧛🏻♀️🖤
Beautiful violet eye look! 🌌 You are my go to for makeup advice, smart, humble, talented and kind. God bless you because we could use a lot more people like you Robert. I mean that.
I love that she still uses those duo fibre brushes, those were super popular in the beginning of UA-cam days, I’m going to have to pull those out again. I love how she is so light handed with them too
I fell for her skin care line... and hated HATED it. It's so expensive, and nothing in the line was anything special. A complete waste of money. Just sayin.
Ugh I would be so upset if I spent that much & it didn't do anything. I have found Platinum Skin Care (no affiliation to me) and their ingredients are great and the prices are much more affordable. I appreciate their transparency with ingredients.
She’s so gorgeous and she really does know how to do her makeup. I just really wish she didn’t use that filter. We know women in their 50s have skin texture right? It’s ok to have pores or whatever. I just feel like it’s hard to really appreciate the effect when she’s so blurred.
I’m only watching the first couple of minutes and I’m convinced this is a commercial. Much cheaper to do on UA-cam rather than national tv. I’m here for Robert, the line of products.
I clearly remember 20 years ago her bragging that she uses Creme De La Mer on her face and body.I remember this because I was 14 and asked my mom to get it for Christmas. My mother got back to me saying she found the cream. She said "Its a jar of cream or the Playstation, choose wisely " 100ml is like 800 Canadian dollars, on her whole body!
Love this, and I would expect nothing less from a glamazon like JLo who has been in the industry and worked with the best makeup artists for literal decades. Also my oily skin sympathises with your woes about not being able to do these super glowy looks! But hey, we'll apparently get less wrinkles so silver linings and all that 😂
This is 100% Scott Barnes routine he did on her... You can literally find the exact same routine he filmed on her face years ago. Its a shame she hasn't credited him since he made her look iconic.
So enjoyed you commenting on her application.. I really enjoyed it too! One thing, the stippling brush concept came from MAC Cosmetics when they first came out with the gold leaf.. it was the only brush that worked well with the gold application. They kept the brush, but no one liked it that much for other makeup application techniques. Instead for the body it’s amazing to use the largest natural hair body brushes.. super natural and way faster application ❤️
U know, I used to try to follow certain make-up tips to the letter, but it doesn't always work for dark skinned people. For instance, I don't try to make my face match my chest/ neck anymore. My neck is the darkest part of my whole body. My chest is probably the lightest part (that anyone will ever see). If I try to make my face and neck match my chest, I look ghostly; if I try to make it all match my neck, I look like I have a liver complaint. So, I blend a contour shade from beneath my chin, into my neck and call it good. I am too many different shades to worry about it anymore 😁
She looked lovely! Keeping everything so natural (looking 😂❤). This really inspires me for summer. In winter I don’t feel like I could pull off that glow. Is that weird? 🤔
This is one of the few make up tutorials that didn't exhaust me! She used loads of things but it didn't feel like "and then I use this thing. And then I use this brush. And now I use this" I'm like, please!!! I watch you my lovely cos your lovely, kind and sweet. I hope it rubs off on me! Thanks for your content 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I loved this too when I watched. The Chanel VitaLumiere she uses in the glass bottle is the Radiant version and is no longer made 😫 their new one is called ultra light or something like that in a small plastic bottle but still gives a glow and maybe more suitable for oily skin as well 🤷🏻♀️ it’s that skin finish type. Also, sadly, Marc Jacobs beauty is no more 💔 He had the best cool-toned bronzer & liquid highlighter 😢She said she learned contouring from the late great Kevyn Aucoin - I can tell 👏🏼. Those r my thoughts. I never bought her skincare and won’t buy her makeup I don’t think lol I too feel it’s a bit untruthful so I wasn’t interested. I like to support women and my people 🇵🇷 but she doesn’t need my money 😅
I always like to see your reaction videos as they are more informative than others. Shame she was using a filter though. In terms of skincare maybe you should try the skin cycling technique. I have very oily skin and so far it has been working for me. 1 day exfoliate, 2nd day hydrate, 3rd day retinol, 4th day hydrate, 5th day hydrate & repeat. There are other ways people do it but this has been working for me so far. I tend to use either a hydrating essence or serum underneath my spf in a morning as they are more lightweight than a lot of moisturizer. Hopefully you find something that works for you ^^.
I swear by skin cycling! I've been doing it for a few months now and I don't think my skin had ever been so good! James explained it on his channel and I gave it a try and don't think I'll look back 😍

The line definitely has it's misses, but some real hits as well!
*Sidenote* Armani does have some truly amazing cosmetics and one outstanding skin care serum! Just beware, she's pricey at $420!
It's refreshing to me how "spot on" and honest. I soooo appreciate you, and, am sure am not the only one.
Omg the purple eye makeup!!😍
I love that your brother is a skin care enthusiast but it’s a “JLo glow” tutorial that inspires you to want to sort your skincare routine out ❤️
Love Robert pausing just to be like "YES" 😆
0:36 I knew they were the same person! Skin and make-up confused?!....ha! Caught you in your crafty witchcraft "Robert" 😋🤣🥰
im not a big jlo fan but this routine was beautiful
Same!
Same!
That was surprisingly good 😂. I think I was expecting her to give us something more unrealistic (like so many celebs do), but JLo seemed to be genuinely familiar with her product choices and application. I kinda feel bad for being such a doubter 🧐☺️.
Robert eye makeup 😍 Jennifer is beautiful and did a great job applying her own make-up. Some of the women in my family use her products and love them.
_Vogue Beauty Secrets_ is, by far, the best comic series ever on UA-cam. Here we have a parody of _Scott Barnes does The JGlow look on Tati_ Level: Caitlin Reilly and Adrian Bliss. 🧛🏻♀️🖤
🤣🤣
Scott Barens is a genius! Bc its his technique. So great job Scott
It would be so cool to watch you critique a Scott Barns makeup tutorial ✨️✨️✨️
Beautiful violet eye look! 🌌 You are my go to for makeup advice, smart, humble, talented and kind. God bless you because we could use a lot more people like you Robert. I mean that.
I'm disappointed there's an obvious filter on her but the finished look is aright. Instead, I was mesmerized by Robert's eyes!
You should definitely be a MUA to the stars!! If I ever have an event..I'd love to have you as a makeup artist!!
Hi Robert, could you do a video about indie/sustainable makeup brands?
I love that she still uses those duo fibre brushes, those were super popular in the beginning of UA-cam days, I’m going to have to pull those out again. I love how she is so light handed with them too
Celebrities do not use their own crap….this woman has MILLIONS and a whole team behind her youthfulness.
She’s was taught & learned from an Iconic Makeup artist Kevin aucoin! Of course she was gonna nail it!✨❤
I fell for her skin care line... and hated HATED it. It's so expensive, and nothing in the line was anything special. A complete waste of money. Just sayin.
Awe I was right excited for the samples I have
Madonna's was worse
Ugh I would be so upset if I spent that much & it didn't do anything. I have found Platinum Skin Care (no affiliation to me) and their ingredients are great and the prices are much more affordable. I appreciate their transparency with ingredients.
It’s so disappointing when you spend good money on something that promises a lot and it doesn’t work for you 😩
@@RobertWelsh I would love to see James review it
She’s so gorgeous and she really does know how to do her makeup. I just really wish she didn’t use that filter. We know women in their 50s have skin texture right? It’s ok to have pores or whatever. I just feel like it’s hard to really appreciate the effect when she’s so blurred.
Love ur energy!!
Thank you! 🖤🖤🖤
This was the best!! Love youuuu!
Don’t think I’ve ever been this early.
Robert, you look scrumptious! 🫶🏽
Thank yooooou! 🖤🖤
Sometimes I rewatch your videos just to hear you speak. Your voice is so soothing it literally helps me fall asleep. ❤️
Not surprised JLo is doing the Scott Barnes lip contour! He is the king of glowy and hoey 🤩🤣
You would have been the youngest Creme De La Mer user with no wrinkles and perfect skin! 😂
@@pinkworld9384lol I doubt it, but I 'did believe it will make me look like her.
OMG, I remember this too! I remember her from WAY back when she was a "fly girl" on In Living Color.
I think it was the sunscreen that kept her young, not the La Mer
When the film starts she already has a full face of makeup 🤣
Love this, and I would expect nothing less from a glamazon like JLo who has been in the industry and worked with the best makeup artists for literal decades. Also my oily skin sympathises with your woes about not being able to do these super glowy looks! But hey, we'll apparently get less wrinkles so silver linings and all that 😂
I love your honesty💕
This is 100% Scott Barnes routine he did on her... You can literally find the exact same routine he filmed on her face years ago. Its a shame she hasn't credited him since he made her look iconic.
I just always love Roberts fashion. Like i want almost every single top piece he wears
I'm kinda in love with the amount of similar products JLo and I use...I'm kinda impressed with myself 😆
You are a delight to listen to, I'm learning so much, thank you ❤️
would you do (or have you done) a series on the best techniques for different face shapes, i.e. different noses, different cheek and jaw shapes?
She is seriously so gorgeous I love her look
You can really see that she has paid attention to when Scott Barnes has done her make up.
Your purple look 💜🙌🏻
Happy Wednesday, Robert!! Her finished product was beautiful and those glosses are gorgeous! I love these reviews!! 💖🖤💖🖤💖🖤💖🖤
I need that after being scared shitless on your twitch! 😂😂😂😊
😂😂😂😂😂
I’m loving that she uses products that I use too!
To me, a makeup tutorial isn't real if a filter is involved. Her slimmed face has been filtered to remove all lines, pigmentation, etc. 😐
I’m loving your purple eyeshadow gorgeous!
Yay best bday present. Thanks Robert 😍
James explained it on his channel and I gave it a try and don't think I'll look back 😍
My husband bought me your sigma brush collection for Christmas and I love it. I would love to learn more about the brushes she uses here.
Tati had Scott Barnes on her channel years ago & he gave her the “JLo Glow” look on her & shared all he did it on her. Just an FYI if you’re interested. 🖤
That version was super editorial and red carpet, though. This version is the toned down, every day version.
