I don't know how such infrequent washing will benefit your scalp tbh. Follicular blockage and product/oil build-up can lead to shedding and weaker strands
Yeah I truly believe that hair influencers are at a disadvantage in that you are constantly trying different products. Many shampoos and conditioners are filled with chemicals and it takes it’s toll after awhile, because of that I stick with the same products for months and then when I try something new I try only one new product at a time. Glad you are on the mend! Stay well 😊
I’m on the journey with you April. I got my headband (with your code) and u part wigs! We’re in this together for 2022! My hair is in rehab too. Thank you for always making helpful honest content ❤️
Awww, Thank your being in this with me....not that I'm happy your hair is in rehab too but it's always nice to know your not alone on the journey. TFW!!!
The mielle conditioner is to die for! It literally has my hair growing so fast. I use it often. And I love the minty feeling. I’m extra in love with the mielle rosemary mint oil as well.
I love design essential. I love the peppermint especially when I was natural because my scalp stayed itching and design essential was the only thing that worked for me. Plus, it makes the hair super soft.
Thank you for sharing Gorgeous. I agree self care as a mom is so vital. I've been there myself neglecting proper nutrition & exercise. I appreciate your transparency 😍💕😘.
My hair is in rehab as well ! My hair just gave up and the front part of my hair is patchy because I assume I keep flat ironing it the wrong way. I'm getting there. My hair is changing and as it evolves some styles, products, and methods doesn't worked as much as they used to. I go with the flow, my hair knows ain't nobody got time for that. lol
Hey girl! I hope you’re doing well. Thanks for the hair update. Have you considered taking hair vitamins? Multivitamins are definitely a great route to take, but trying vitamins that are targeted specifically for the hair might be beneficial, especially for managing alopecia areata or other forms of hair loss. I’ve been using Wellbel hair vitamins for the past 7 months and I must say, it’s a game changer. After losing so much hair after having my son, I was desperate for a solution and these pills came through for me!!
Hey gurl hey! Yes, I've started taking my GNC hair, nail and skin vitamins again along with my regular mulit-vit. Guuuurl, let me look up Wellbel LOL!!! Thank you for watching and sharing
Yes, I could barely lift my head off the pillow the 3rd time getting it. The last thing on my mind was my hair. So, I'm grateful to have what I have. YEEEESSS come through bounce back!!! TFW
Yeah, I only have one hair store around me that carries it. Sorry I couldn't find a short link. Thank you for sharing. I had started washing my hair every 2 weeks because for some odd reason my hair had started drying despite how much I oiled. I guess because I have very thick course hair even with a relaxer. Now my hair is looking more shiny since I’m no longer washing every week. But once again thank you for the review and loving your hair.
Hi April, beautiful hairdo☺️ I too fell victim to poor diet. I noticed that my protein intake drop drastically when I was losing the weight. So be sure your body has enough protein daily. Don't rely solely on vitamins. So yes, eat the meat🤣 I too am taking mega blood builder, prenatal & vit d3 while eating loads of protein. and so far so good. So I'm definitely on this journey as well. I too have been washing my hair a lot less (too much shedding)🥴🙂
LOL I have been eating the meat LMAO!!! I started a food diary to help me keep track of my food intake along with my vitamins. Your like the 3rd comment about the mega blood builder...I've gotta check that out. Thank you for watching and sharing.
thanks for all the gems you shared! Wishing you the best on your journey ✨ My question is what's your go-to website for wigs and the like? Also I LOVE the shirt you're wearing, where is it from?
Aww, your welcome 💕! My top is from Zara. I just reviewed a wig from XRS beauty that I'm going to post very soon...hands down one of the best wigs I've worked with. Thank you so much for watching!!♡
Thank you for sharing! I have too decided to wash my hair once a month, so I am happy when I hear you say that. I just began using DE. I've been using the almond hair lotion and deep conditioner. I have the shampoo and conditioner but haven't used it yet. I really like DE and can't remember why I never used them. I can't wait to see your hair flourish again! ❤
I too had a negative image of Design Essentials but tried the Bamboo leave-in, the moisture mask and the foaming wrap lotion and they are amazing. I am a Mizani girl from way back theirs is the only relaxer I have no issues with and their moisturefuse conditioner is my ride or die. Always prioritize you before all else and everything will flourish!
You need protein yes. By the way, I say it before and I will say it again: try minoxidil for your bald spot. Ask your dermatologist. IT WORKS. Thanks for the video
Oh yes, I’m using design essentials, I switched from Affirm which I find was drying! I love design products. The brittle is gone. I’m experiencing growth.
That’s crazy! I started washing my hair once a month too due to thinning. I was washing weekly and using olaplex and for a fact olaplex weekly BROKE👏🏾my👏🏾hair👏🏾off👏🏾bad!!! When I started using it weekly that’s when I noticed the most damage! I had to cut soooooo much of my hair offf😩that was the only thing that changed in my regime so to each there own but I would not recommend using that weekly my hair was at its healthiest and longest before I started using that product.
April when you get a new wig it has lots of goodies in the the box. do you know if that is the way they sell it. I am in London and when you buy a wig over here all you get is the wig and that's all. I would be grateful for your reply. oh by the way I wash my hair once a month and it's fine. I find I was loosing to much hair and now I am retaining hair.
Hello, Some companies offer the goody bag to anyone that buys it but not all company's will do that. I will start asking the companies and letting you guys know in the video, pinned comment or in the description box. Thank you for watching and sharing your routine!!!
Hey :) I had my last touch up a month ago but my hairdresser couldn’t do it properly so my new growth (mostly in the back) ended up not getting straight… The front got semi straight and I am switching my Hairdresser, should I go earlier or should I just wait for my actual appointment which is in one month?
Same, I hear that. Even with checking the reviews I still get wigs that aren't the best quality but the only thing I can do is show you guys exactly what the wig is giving. Thank you for watching!!!

I love design essential. I love the peppermint especially when I was natural because my scalp stayed itching and design essential was the only thing that worked for me. Plus, it makes the hair super soft.
I know we have all these good NEW products on the market but OG's are OG for good reason! Totally agree, it makes the hair a scalp feel amazing. TFW
Thank you for sharing Gorgeous. I agree self care as a mom is so vital. I've been there myself neglecting proper nutrition & exercise. I appreciate your transparency 😍💕😘.
Amen, Mrs. April, yes to self-care! 🙌🏼💕
Design essentials is bomb. Try their honey moisture retention shampoo. They also have a good peppermint shampoo for dry itch scalp.
Whoa, Covid 3x?! God bless you! Glad you’re better. Your hair is looking good.

Will do. Thank you!!!
Omg! When my routine is off, I barely eat too! I gotta stop that!
LOL yes, we have to stop that. I actually started a food diary to keep track of my food intake until I'm back track.
You had covid 3 times omg girl😔 ... your hair has definitely been through a lot.. You're going to bounce back so fast ♡♡

I lost a lot of hair with Covid. Had to cut it also. It does stop after about 6 months. My hair is still thin but getting better
@@sunshineliz5297 my hair still shedding so bad since Covid
I got a design essentials dc in a subscription box and fell in love! Only problem is I can’t find it in stores.

You are doing amazing given all that you are going through! Keep it up April ✨
Thank you so much!!
This is a routine I can relate with totally. I find the every week wash and deep conditioning a little bit unrealistic. Thank you for sharing

I do like the DE stimulating conditioner, I like the way it tingles on my scalp.
I recently got this Jamaican black castor oil and am coming to try it out, thanks for your hair update. You are looking absolutely gorgeous 😍
JBCO is thick, sticky and doesn't smell that great but it works for the health of you hair. I use it closer to wash day. TFW!!!
Amazing video! So much useful information ❤️❤️

I would wait unless the new stylist is really good at corrective relaxers because you can easily get over processed and end up with a lot of breakage
Thank you April ❤
I wash less often now also because the manipulation was taking a toll on my hair
In December your haircut was so cute!
I appreciate your honesty with the wig reviews....I been 🔥 burned a few times by bad wigs. I haven't even worn one since the summer.

I totally agree! I normally have a sew-in in the winter to help me with that but great tip!
