I had a birthday pass during the stay at home orders and my mother in law was nice enough to send me a gift card to Ulta for my birthday. With that gift card I thought this is the perfect opportunity to try a new conditioner. This video shows my results and how my hair reacted to the product. This is a great example of finding what works for your hair and what doesn't.

I would have re washed it and started over with a different conditioner.
I do not try any new products when I have found what my hair likes. I have never tried main choice. Long hair tangles easily so I stuck with my hello hydration conditioner and Pantene gold series buttercreme leave in conditioner and scurl.
Please do more of these where you try new deep conditioners

Very true!
Based on how she described the texture of the conditioner, I wouldn’t want to use it. Conditioner should not feel like “lotion”. You can tell if a conditioner has good slip, which will lead to hair that can be detangled easily.
I use their hair masks. The 1 I use says to use in dry hair. I do not sit under the dryer. I just cover with a plastic cap.
I then rinse the mask out and then shampoo my hair.
And my hair feels amazing afterwards.

Wow, yes thank you for taking one for the team. Your hair is my hair goals. I heard mane choice had some great products like the 4c line. Can you do a review on your weekly regimen. I want to see what schedule I should be on and what products you use, like mask to get the moisture results you like to achieve please?

Thank you for this video. It made me realise I have to change my products because 90% of the time when I wash my hair, it looks and feels dry and I seem to get some breakage just like you did in this video😔 the trial and error search for the right products continues😑

That hair mask is really bad. I wouldn't get such poor results from my cheap ORS replenishing conditioner

I just looked up the ingredients of this hair mask, and the first two ingredients are water and coconut oil, which I hardly think makes a good foundation for a hair mask- from what I understand coconut oil, especially applied to the roots and the scalp, is notorious for causing shedding, and I know that definitely happened to me! Once I started stating away from coconut oil heavy products, I saw a huge difference in my hair

Even the conditioner that i bought from the eyptian line did nothing for me..so i just leave their products alone.
Have you tried the Luxe Line from Sally Beauty? I hear it's great for relaxed hair

Long hair don’t care, hey girl hey. I have tried some shampoos over the past few months and when I relaxed I saw all the breakage so now I’m done. Lesson learned! A UA-camr introduced me to Theorie shampoo and the results are awesome and soft and I Stick to my deep conditioner from Rolland Una and had to go back to roller setting and start my hair back on the road to health

@@AprilSunnyBeauty Theories have a website, however you can find the shampoo for $7.99 at TJmaxx or Marshals. I purchase mines from Marshals (Tea tree&Bamboo and Rose) both very, very moisturizing like when Shea Moisture 1st came out🙄🙄. The Rolland Una can be purchased from Amazon. I use the Re-build Therapy as a deep conditioner with heat. I have been using Rolland Una for years and it never failed my hair. I also use there Protein Treatment once a month with heat.

Try the manuka honey masque from shea moisture !! Its has so much moisture i think you would really love it.
I wondered while watching you suffer tangles if you washed your hair with a clarifying or sulfate shampoo first. I ask this because that’s exactly how my hair behaves if I’ve gone too long using sulfate free shampoos. I get crazy tangles and a stiff air dry. I’m relaxed btw...
Yes same with me, my hair gets like that when I go a while without using a clarifying shampoo
Once in a while a clarify shampoo is needed... like if you wash your hair evefy week I woulld use clarify shampoo once a month to get all the dirt and buildup OUT... or if one week you go heavy with products...
I dont like to use new products if my staples work well for me tbh...
I have rinse out conditioners thicker than that, lol. I can't believe how tangly your hair was. I have not tried this and am not willing to so I'll pass. I appreciate you giving it a try, you definitely went the extra mile.
I wanted to abort mission lol but I also wanted to fully see what the product could do for my hair. Didn't work for my relaxed hair but everyone is different. Tfw🤎
I’m sorry this happened to you! For me personally my relaxed wash days were always a detangling/ breakage nightmare but I never put it down to the products I was using!
I’m not sure how many weeks post relaxer you are but do you think that might have also played a part in the tangling issues? Did you fully detangle prior to washing? Certainly the conditioner doesn’t look like it provided enough slip 🤔 But I felt your pain and I really hope you manage to curb the breakage, I love watching your relaxed hair videos!
Hi Sunny, so sorry for what this product did to your hair 🙏. If you don’t mind I’ll like to ask a few questions. I’m newly texturized but I’ve been watching your videos and other great UA-camrs. I still follow the same routine for relaxed hair on my texturized hair. One thing though is that I don’t know how to go about blow drying and flat ironing my hair. Do I allow my hair to completely air dry before blow drying it? And when intending to flat iron afterwards, do I avoid using oils, creams and moisturizers from after washing and use only heat protector?

Washing out your hair with cold water when using a new product was not a good idea 😬😬
How so? When rinsing out conditioners you should use cool/cold water to aid in closing the hairs cuticle.
Yikes😲😳, this sounds like mane choice meant for this to be moisturizing conditioner, but it’s acting like a reconstructor or protein deep conditioner where one should follow up with a moisturizing deep conditioner (which is what I do on protein treatment mask wash days). It’s pointless to me that they wrote that after rinsing this mask out to follow up with a conditioner🤨, like after rinsing a moisturizing deep treatment mask I should not have to put another conditioner in my hair (just my thoughts) . Anyway, yea I won’t be trying this one, my hair is already natural dry and for $18 with such a small amount, no way. So sorry you went through that girl, but your blow dried hair still looked good🤗.
April, thank you so much for review I will never purchase any of the Mane Choice line. ORS would have done a great job on the moisture..I would have rinsed and re conditioned my hair, So sorry that happen. Again thank you will not purchase!

Ohhh, I don't laugh at you, but it's good to see another person with their hair tangled. I am the only woman I know that even brushing her hair gets like this, that's why I have to leave my hair still, return to nature for a while, I am in transition, but you do not know when I love my relaxed hair. I hope your hair improves because it is horrible to be in that situation.
I am a natural and I think that Mane Choice makes GREAT products for us, but I don't think it covers you relaxed girls.
I am a relaxed girl and I only use all natural hair products besides my heat protectant. I have never had a problem . However I have only used one product from Mane Choice. I think her hair just didn't like this one.
