I've just made this, super easy!!! I doubled up the portion and baked it in a 6-inch pan with the exact same temperature and time. Can't believe I made a cake without fussing over the mixing issue and egg white beating skills 🥰🥰🥰

I made this and it was actually really good! The texture is so soft and bouncy. I used less sugar like I usually do and I actually wish I hadn't - the recipe doesn't need changing. For anyone scrolling thro comments - yes it's good with non-dairy milk! I used oat milk :)

I just made this but every ingredient times 4 so you have a regular cake. it was amazing and really moist because i didn't increase the heat nor time in the oven.

I don't leave reviews usually but have to share my experience with this recipe. I have made this twice. First one came out like a charm. And I made doubled this recipe today. There were some obstacles as the electricity went off suddenly in the middle of baking. I decided to cook it in the gas stove. I thought that this may result in a denser cake. However to my surprise it was delicious. I topped it with chocolate fudge frosting.

Made this today and it was LUSH! I'm not a good baker so was impressed with how easy it was. The results were a lovely moist, not too sweet cake - just wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing. You have made me a very happy lady x
P.S. As I didn't have the ingredients for the glaze I sliced the cake in half and made a simple chocolate buttercream filling instead. Big thumbs up!

Hi Rin ! 😁 100% *yes* you can substitute cocoa powder with chocolate chips. The amount of chocolate chips you use is up to you. You will melt the chips before adding them to your batter. You can melt them in a microwave on *defrost* mode, or over a little water bath. I hope this helps ! Hi there. Thank you for this yummy recipe. Just had one doubt. Do you bake this cake in the middle or the lower rack of the oven? A few times when I baked at 180 degrees in the middle rack, the top of the cake started to brown faster. I then had to lower the temperature and bake a little longer ( I doubled your recipe and baked in a 6 inch cake pan) TIA!
Hi Brinda 🙂 I bake all my cakes in the lower 1/3 of the oven. This means the rack is not at the lowest position, but the next position higher up. ( I never bake with the rack in the middle of the oven ) All ovens are different, this is why it's good to purchase a little inexpensive oven thermometer to see if your oven runs a little hot or a little cold. Then you can adjust your temperate to make that correction. One of these little thermometer is only about $10. It's all metal, and is 100% safe in your oven. I really enjoyed your video, It Is very well done, all Instructions crystal clear and well thought out. Well done. Hi Valerie, I must have 10 recipe videos for chocolate ganache, and it's super easy to do. If you do a 2:1 ratio of chocolate to cream you should be able to make any amount you want for any size cake. Ganache really depends on the thickness or how thin it is when making up a recipe. Some will want more some will want less ganache for the same size cake. Thanks so much for watching ! 😊

Hello sir, nice to meet you। May i ask you one thing? If i add 1tbsp of cocoa powder, instead of 3tbsp, then what ingredient should i add more? Flour? Or cornstarch should I add??
Hello 🙂 you can reduce the cocoa powder down to that 1 Tablespoon, but you don't have to do anything else to the recipe, it will be 100% fine like this. The batter will be a tiny bit more liquid, but that is 100% OK. Do not worry, your cake will turn out perfectly. The removal of just 2 Tablespoons is not enough to change the recipe in any bad way. You'll want to get some paper and a pen and do a a few calculations. You need the volume of the 3 inch springform pan, and well, you're going to need to do some calculations.
