බැක්පැකස්ල නෙමී මොන ලෙවල් එකෙන් ආවත් ලංකාවෙ වියදම් කරන්න දෙන්නෙ නෑ. සල්ලි තිබ්බට වියදම් කරන්න හේතුවක් නෑ. පට්ටම අකාර්යක්ෂම, මෙලෝ කොලිටියක් නැති ප්‍රොඩක්ට් සහ සර්විසස් වලට වියදම් කරන්න සුද්දො සුද්දියොන්ගෙ පස්චාත්භාගයේ ඉත්තෑවො දුවන්නෑනෙ.
වැලිගම්, අහංගම, මිරිස්ස ක්‍රමානුකූලව රෂියන් සහ යුක්‍රේනියන්ස්ල හාමින් යන්නෙ. ගොඩක් ස්විස්, ජර්මන්, ෆ්‍රෙන්ච් (කොලිටි සුද්දො) උං ඔය පැත්තට යන්න් අකමැති රෂියන් සහ යුක්‍රේනියන්ස්ල නිසා
As a person who has travelled a bit i will tell you why we dont have packages available at hotels in SL..
When you got to Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia and other countries there are pacakeges at each hotel for day tours, boat tours, island hopping tours, historiecal sight tours and all..
now what most people dont know is that all these individuals hotels or tour desk dont organises those tours individually.. there are 3-4 big companies that actually organise these tours in a large way so they can take groups from each hotel and fill their seats. And the hotel gets a commission for each person they promote the package to. Thats how it happens in most eastern asian counties.. those big tour promotors provide pickup service from your hotel, tour, drinks, lunch and pldrop back at your hotel.
Now why cant Sri Lanka do this? Ita our people.. if you remember a few months ago they tried to organise a daily tour bus in Ella.. and what happned all the local people got on the road and didnt let the bus go.. the problem is because we are so disorganised now there are small small people who organise these tours individually.. so if a big company comes to offer these packages in bulk they will lose their livelihood..
For instance once thing i would really like to see is a planned luxury bus service that goes between each tourist city.. in a circular fashion.. there are 2 or 3 buses a day that tourist can see the times online and book a seat online.. they can be picked up from the airport or hotel nearby there is a nice chill room they can wait in if they are early.. however say we do this what happens to all those tourist guides that provide transport betwren cities will loae their income.. so that needs to be sorted..
Youndont need to go to Ferrari World to book online tickets.. Cambodia a country much much under developed than us.. you can book a AC bus with wife and hotel pickup (you can even select your seat) online.. if you want to go from Phnom Phen to Siam Reap you just to to the side.. sleect you bus time and seat put your hotel name and make the payment online.. they will send a tuk to your hotel in the morning to pick you up. Buses are AC and have wifi. And this is not now in 2024.. i went to cambodia around 7-8 years back.. so how behind are we

Hi Bruno, I am a professional who work in tourism industry since 2002 and first I thank you for bringing the tourism for the discussion. However most of the points raised here are inaccurate. What i notice is even Bradly do not have undestand the effort and work of DMCs (Destination managment companies) to promote SL as a destination. Genaral.public (and it seems this experts too) do think tourists are travel by them self to Colombo and visist the country by themself, but what actually happen is majority of the tourists arrive to SL are travel with personalized tour programs tailormade to themself by DMCs . My humble suggestion for you is try to conmect with reputed DMC first (such as Aitkenspence or Cinnamon/Walkers tours ect.) Then you will have better idea about the industry
