I just handled the brace version today and it feels very nice and handy. The brace has just enough length of pull to aim the iron sights. A red dot would make aiming it A lot faster. Aside from the price, it's something to consider if you carry a compatible handgun and have this stowed away in your car as a force multiplier in SHTF
Hey Abner, if you don’t mind I’d like to pick your brain for a minute. Based on your knowledge and experience and taking all factors into consideration including cost, size, ability to hide in plain sight, etc., how would you rank your AFR sub gun rig, the CAA Micro Roni, the KPOS, the B&T USA APC 9? I agree with your line of thinking as far as the limitations of a pistol’s range and ammo capacity, the reality of not having a rifle caliber SBR on hand, and the benefits of having a weapon with the enhanced capabilities when the rubber meets the road. I am planning on making a purchase sometime this year and would really value your input so I can make a well thought out decision. A video on this topic wouldn’t hurt either. Thanks for your time and God Bless.
I am working on an updated chest rig that i better than the AFR. As for the comparison of the different set ups I would say that the Micro RONI is my favorite so far for a collapsible, shoulder fired weapon. My GS17 is my absolute favorite but it doesn't but it can't fit into the bags that the Micro RONI can. The KPOS is good but I believe the Micro RONI is better. The Micro RONI is also better than the GS17 in that it doesn't require any mods to your post weapon. It's just a matter of dropping your Glock in it and going.
Hey Tier 1... if you notice this... what are the legalities of carrying that around loaded where you live? Do you know the details? I know Class III stuff can vary state to state.

@@Tier1Citizen Just saw that. It's a total bummer too as I live in a state where, at the moment, I cannot possess an NFA item of any kind so that rules out the SBR chassis. Yes there's just a bit of wiggle between the two that takes away from its accuracy. However, it needs to be mentioned that it's not bad and what this set up is meant for makes it not that big of an issue. This is a CQC weapon set up and I have found it plenty accurate for that purpose. I just make sure folks know that this is not meant for making head shots at 25 yards if a hostage is in the way, that flex could cause a problem.
i you had to choose between between a caa micro roni for glock 19 or a keltek sub2000 which would it be. my every day carry is glock 19. I want to have something in my car bag that will gve me a little better accuracy in case of extreme emergency.
I'd probably still chose the Micro RONI because of its concealability. However, if accuracy is your main concern then go with this one. It's more accurate because the optic is directly mounted to the slide. ua-cam.com/video/FEL8ow5gf2o/v-deo.html
agreed but then I would have to do paper work for sbr. I am going to get the roni. putting optics on the sub2000 is another 300. the roni is another 100. I will get the roni that will give me a little more influence at longer range should the need arise. something I will never need that I will put it with all the other stuff I hope I never need. thanks
ok next question. I have decided to get the micro roni for my glock 19. lets say am a meat and potatoes guy, total minimalist. lets say I want optics on the roni. what should I go with. as small as possible. low profile
I just discovered the micro roni . One of the you tube videos said that the chassis and 17 do not need to be SBR ed ? With the folding stock and short barrel ? Sound B'S to me what is your opinion ?
Abner Miranda i m in contact with caa. they said they will ship another one because i have an old model and there s a problem ot is fixed now on new ones. i wait. fot months.. i shot it one time months ago :(
Alden Morris over all I think it's pretty good but there are still some minor things they need to address. Mine wouldn't take any of the QD's I tried with it. Growing pains are so fun.
Yes it's easier to zero than an RMR and it never seems to lose that zero. I'm not saying the RMR's lose their zero I'm just saying that the MRDS is an overall better optic to work with. It's no down side is that the lens is made of polymer and is not as scratch resistant as the RMR.
Tier 1 Citizen Yeah I bet it is. The Roni looks fantastic but I bet zero would be everywhere with the Roni. I'm working on a prototype Glock chassis right now. Hopefully have a working model out soon. I'll send you video link once I have it ready. I think you might deside to change again. I would love you feedback with all the work you've done with the Glock SBR series of videos.
hi, nice vid thank you. I have a question. What's the name of the company that makes that finger rest in front of the handrail. Where to buy this item.
All componentes on the RONI can be bought from Command Arms Accessories. If you're referring to the other weapon that foregrip is known as the FGGK and you can buy it from Botach.com
Now that the ATF has backtracked their vague opinion letter that was never gonna hold a candle to the law and we free citizens can shoulder braces without additional annoyances, not worries, but annoyances, getting the braced version of the Micro Roni does seem like an option. If you are afraid of leaving your hard earn money paid sbr or truck gun while you walk away from it but want a force multiplier, get something like this that can interface with your carry pistol. I carry a Glock 19 and they make one for it. I kinda wish they merged a previous variant that has a spare mag in the back, but keeping an extra fun stick along with this rig, you can instantly deploy it and push back against a threat even harder. Recently, I've only been carrying a short barreled AR pistol in 300 with a collapsing/adjustable brace because in a shorter barrel and at the distances a specific attack can happen, the .300 blackout is very effective in a shorter barrel while a 5.56 is not as much.
I haven't tried the brace version of the Micro Roni. The length of pull looks right but I am a bit confused with some of advertisements for the brace variants. Some of them have the angled grip in the front but then there's several versions where it has the brace in the back but the front end looks like it's the slot for the spare mag hold. I thought they couldn't do that because it turns it into a vertical grip
I thought the length of pull looked too short on the brace version. Also, you're correct, they can't do the vertical grip/mag holder because it represents one of the NFA criteria for being an SBR.
That's a really good question. When I first set up my channel I had no idea what I was doing. UA-cam has been a great big learning process for me. Abner Miranda thank you for replying. I have one more question now, so now that you took the glock out of the Roni is it illegal to carry it because it was registered as an sbr?

It needs to evolve more. 2 years and I go for it. And it has sharp edges. The pistol comes out filthy as hell after a few boxes of ammo.
I believe that the QD is proprietary. I had the same issue until I ordered the CAA sling with it's ring. no more issues.
Is it possible to run a can on the micro Roni?
Cool kit

if bullets are copper jacketed do they still make lead gas?
do you think a glock with an extended barrel would fit in it? would be sick suppressed.
The MCK can fit a suppressor in if
Why u don't like the after taste of Lead? I love it😩😍😂😂
If Tony the Tiger were here he'd say "Leaded Flakes, they're sweet!"
would that work on the shield 9
Can it still be legally concealed & carried With the kit? Say if I want to keep it in my car for emergencies
If SBRs were not on the NFA, this would be a sweet setup
Agreed. The NFA needs to be done away with.
Just add a gear head works "tail hook" if you don't already know what that is and you don't have to SBR it. ATF approved

Coat the front of the slide area of your Glock pistol liberally with oil and it will wipe clean a lot easier. Don't run these with a dry gun.

There definitely is added wear and tear on the Glock. It's worth it for the added accuracy.
do you need a stamp or permit to buy this?
No you don't but you do need to register your Glock as an SBR is you're going to use the Micro RONI.
not anymore you dont.
Really?
Did you pay a tax stamp or did you just buy it?
The Glock is a registered SBR and the Micro RONI was on loan from CAA.
Abner Miranda thank you for replying. I have one more question now, so now that you took the glock out of the Roni is it illegal to carry it because it was registered as an sbr?
