    It's interesting to hear Chris talk about training and winning the Olympia. Ronnie used to sling the weight also. Dorian and Ronnie had completely different training Styles but both brought that gnarly hardness and density. I watched them both compete in their heyday. No question in my opinion Cormier structurally had all the tools to win that show if he could have put it all together. He never came in with that nasty peeled striated look though. I thought his best condition was his rookie debut at the Ironman when he got second to Vince Taylor. I was there.

      You’re right brother not super pill, but also needed to train with Intensity. I was training with ego and lifting big weights zero Intensity that’s my fault for not understanding fully what my goal was as far as having someone in my corner to get that can teach me Intensity and tenacity.

    Thank you, Milos, for mentioning Mohamed Makkawy You cannot talk about aesthetics, classic lines and giant killers without bringing up Makkawy. He defeated Lee Haney more than once. .and his posing, along with Chris Dickerson's, was out of this world. For a bigger classic physique, yes, Bob Paris and Berry DeMey and yourself as well. Also, Rory Leidelmeyer as a non-pro.
    You're also right about Lee Labrada being the closest to Frank Zane's physique. The classic poses he hits and even when he's just standing relaxed on stage, very reminiscent of Zane.

When asked if he took steroids this was his reply " Yeah I take steroids, I'm not going to lie to you like other guys and say I don't " He was then asked if one can compete without steroids.
      His reply " Yeah you can compete without steroids but you aren't going to win" In addition in some of Frank's writings he actually made poems about steroids.

    In the part where he said that Arnold stated that he's "the best bb in the world" After winning* the 1980 Olympia and then getting boo'd ,etc.
    Thats one reaon why most of that footage was concealed/bought out . He and Weider didn't want any of that to be seen by gen pop.

    Imo 90s had the best physiques in bbing history, but guys from the 70s, is the era that I would wanto train/ live the lifestyle the most, it seemed like everyone was there for the love of the game, and everyone was having fun/ a brotherhood

    Why did you guys make this old man stand up for over an hour? And stop stumping these old timers by asking them questions about present day bodybuilders. Respect your elders lol

    I dont understand Diet of Frank.
    50g Carbs is about 200kcal
    200g Protein is about 800kcal
    50g fat is about 450kcal
    That are 1450kcal
    ??????

    • @MrRaitzi
      @MrRaitzi Рік тому +1

      Frank measured his body constantly and adjusted diet accordingly. Also spices and sauces add also energy.

    • @odessafile75
      @odessafile75 Рік тому +1

      I find it very hard to believe Frank consumed as little as 50 grams of Carbs a day in the off season.

    • @MrRaitzi
      @MrRaitzi Рік тому

      @@odessafile75 people get too stuck on numbers here. He only gained 10 lbs so he didn't eat much. 50g was his contest prep number as I understood and maybe 100g of season. But he was low carb guy like most old schoolers.

    • @odessafile75
      @odessafile75 Рік тому +1

      @Raitzi In this interview he states he competed at about 190 lbs and never went over 200 lbs. In previous interviews articles he advised his competition weight varied between 180-200 lbs and he weighed anywhere from 200-210 off season and even once bulked up 220 lbs .
      While Frank in comparison to most guys consumed less carbs and total calories it is difficult to believe he maintained his heavier bodyweight with as little as 100 g of carbs.
