The problem is the judges will not do this . There is not 2 divisions like your day there is now 10 divisions! Shows are already way to long now you want to judge another round hmm not happening

Lee Labrada what a Class Act. He guest posed at a show I was in, 1988. The nicest, friendliest Pro I ever met.
Whether he took PEDs or not, was still a Class Act. Talked to me and my pregnant wife that night. You're naive if you don't think professional athletes from All Sports don't take some form of PEDs to improve their performance.

I was in 1992 Mr Olympia at Helsinki and I talked with Rafael Santonja before the finals and his prediction was Labrada first. Finally was third. Also saw Lee Labrada in Badalona Grand Prix of Spain 1988 🙌
Milos` quote "It`s becoming musclebuilding and not bodybuilding" hit the nail on the head. Nowadays there is way too much emphasis placed on size at the expense of lines and quality.

I agree Milo's I was at that 91 Olympia in Orlando Haney was his best-ever there. Saved his best for last just like his training he used to say last rep best rep. He walked away on top at 31 years old. Unbelievable!
Oh Yeah. Lee's final Olympia was absolutely stunning. The best ever condition & to that point in time the very best total package to ever step on a bodybuilding stage.

Admittedly though Paul should've placed higher than him. Labrada was fantastic but at those 1993 shows, like the Ironman or AC, Dillett was from another dimension.

Lee Labrada was my idol growing up. He physique was amazing and esthetic. I also admired his intelligence and class he exuded. I know he was civil engineer and I appreciate how difficult that is to obtain because my son will soon graduate as a mechanical engineer. I used to listen to him speak and the way he presented himself was always first class. When I competed I copied his posing routines and when I coached people I referred to his signature pose as the Labrada. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Dallas Europe and he was super nice and friendly. When I told him he had been my idol growing up he was genuine and very kind. Thank you, Lee for representing bodybuilding with class!

Lee Labrada is saying bull shit. Lee Haney was thre times the weight of Lee Labrada and he said he think he beat Haney in 1990. He was lucky he was under Weider contract and he was only 182 ibs in this show. Of season he probably got to 190 ibs but never on stage. He was too small. Francis Benefatto weighted 170 lbs and was better than lee Labrad even Shawn Ray was better than him. Sorry Lee Labrada no way deseved second place after Lee Haney.

To me the competitors not caring about the posing round is akin to slacking at your job because the boss only really evaluates certain work metrics so who cares about the rest, right? TAKE PRIDE IN EVERYTHING you do, even if you don't see the immediate financial pay off. Heck 30 minutes of posing practice focused on your routine can be used as a partial cardio substitute. If you are a PROFESSIONAL act like it ALL THE TIME, not just when you see the immediate financial return.
I also 100% believe that if you can perform your posing routine to perfection, by HIDING all your flaws(especially if they are very apparent in the mandatories) and accentuating all your strengths with a routine tailored to your physique it will work in your favor with the judges. Effort is almost ALWAYS worth it in the long run.
This is without even going into a discussion about respect for the fans who are paying to see the show, without them in attendance and live streaming the whole thing comes to a halt.
