Caps I think are the DCX Solarized.
my only goal here is to participate and check your video's due to the same interest :3
but when it comes to this giveaway I already know that I won't be winning due to many people trying as well
Goodluck to all and always stay positive, just like Hipyo Tech :D
Lmaoooo when it told me to go visit like dust silver and kadeli and stuff I was already following them and I’ve already saved all your songs looooool
plz stop making videos about cheap keyboards!
we need something special! we need a dream!
You mean JRIS 65 and JRIS 75
I love that this is considered to be a "budget" custom still, despite my initial gripe with the way this was marketed. A lot of focus put on that $99 price tag but, realistically speaking, only a small percentage of people will opt for that option and spend for the $123 minimum. Budget custom keebs have really come a long way and I hope this trend continues with other brands following suit.
i got a gmk67 with fake holy pandas and wob keycaps for 43$ and i am extremely satisfied
Mode dose the same thing
yea this is true since the 99$ is for a soldered version which can costs more to get a soldering iron and more time consuming and riskier to the beginners. Glad that this kind of value for a 123$ still being produced
Because it is, if you compare it to a mode sonnet for example this one is very budget.
@@marcodebortoli even compared to their Jris75 it’s a budget board
It's really good for that price (the $120ish range), but as a poor person, it's still too expensive for me. Still it's encouraging to see how good these more budget options are getting, even in the custom options. For someone like me, my best option is still to buy a cheap prebuilt and then just mod it to my liking as I can afford to do so. There are plenty of options these days that are even hot swap in the $20-$60 range, and if you're coming from using a membrane keyboard, you're still going to like those cheap options more, even before the mods (ok, most of the time, I know some people still won't be happy, but IMO, the difference between a cheap membrane, and a cheap mechanical is so vast, that I'm content to just enjoy my cheap board and mod it here and there because it's just so much better of an experience compared to my cheap membrane).
If you're looking for budget keebs with metal body I recommend the M1W - 3 mode, RGB, knob, hotswap, comes fully equiped with keycaps and switches for roundly 42$ (price on taobao). I bought one and is super happy with its quality. There's also the Weikav WK870 or M71, both are fairly good bang for the bucks. For me anything over 70$ range isn't considered a "budget" keeb, bc I'm broke AF 😂
well aluminium cased keyboards are indeed too niche for budget tiers
I can agree 100% with this. I got a cheap redragon k552 for only $23 instead of saving up. Even though I don't use it anymore, I don't regret buying it at all. If you have never touched a mechanical keyboard, a keyboard under $50 won't bite you. It will be amazing
If you don't mind using a super small and wired keyboard they can be sooo cheap while also being decent!
I'm over here crying in data entry + a cat that chews electric cords so I have to spend double money 😭
Just subbed as i am trying to build my first keyboard. Thank you for the hard work you put into these videos mate. Regards from Australia 🇦🇺❤️
As a British person I have to say your knob is excellent, the size is amazing and I’m sure the feel of it is exquisite!!🙂
LMAOOOOO
Since it supports plateless builds, the only way they can do a gasket mount in that case would be PCB mounted gaskets. That's what they mean by that. Those are the gaskets that look like little columns. They stick into the C shaped clips on the PCB. This is the same as the JRIS75 (which has 3 C shaped clips instead of 1 to alter stiffness). Other keyboards have done this design as well. The gasket socks slide over the tabs on the plate for a plate gasket mount.
"Quite similar to me, it will open up with just a couple screws..."
Took me a couple seconds to get it, now I'm laughing like a maniac while washing the dishes and watching this video. 🤣
I definitely have to agree. I finally decided on my upgrade, and went with the Epomaker EP84. It checked all the boxes for things that I needed, and I just ordered the Morandi switches and some Durock plate mount stabs so that I could get it to sound better than what it sounds like in your video (and most others from that time period). However, I was VERY pleasantly surprised when I got the board and it was a night and day difference from the reviews. The listing says "Upgraded Version", so apparently they've updated it at some point and made it WAY better. They even come a flat profile keycap set that I have also been enjoying quite a bit. I still plan on trying out the Morandi switches when they come in, but the ones that are in here now (the Flamingo switches) are definitely lubed along with the stabs. If I wanted to, I could leave this thing completely stock and be perfectly happy. And all for only $99 on Amazon. So yeah, budget boards have definitely gotten a lot better. :)
I love how hipyo is so engaged with his viewers. For example, I commented on one of his year-old videos the other day, and he hearted it, and he reply’s to so many comments. It’s amazing.
Getting into keyboard building after watching ur vids thanks for the content. It's so painful trying to find a vivid purple case to put cyan keycaps on. So few cases
Fine Hipyo, I'll finally subscribe, you got me. I keep clicking on these videos even though I dont even need a keyboard, I have a keychron on the way. And I cant really get into the hobby as most keycaps wont fit my keyboard(german). But your content is just addicting. Keep up the good work big fella!
Hey Hipyo, you helped me decide on my first custom board!
Zoom65v2, super satisfied!
Cool grey, ano black accents, all the foam, Zealio V2 62g's, T0mb3ry Carbon SA (carbonski)
I thought the Deskmat would have been sold out by now the 5th time or so 😅 i ordered the Coffe one along with the Spring one as it was released and i am happy with both of them. They are sooo pretty 😊❤
Sweet, I've seen pics of the mkc75 and it looks pretty kool, especially that one orange one. Great to see a vid on it, even though I'm likely going after their jris80. :D
Got mine, very good for the price
If you’re looking for budget the ilovbee i61 is the key!
Great vid Hipyo!!!!
i got this keyboard and i am loving it
I’m using your channel to build a keyboard when I’m holding my new setup ina couple months
Budget keyboards are getting to the level of like endgame ones nowadays. It truly shows that you don’t need to spend a fortune to build a good sounding good feeling keyboard
Plase, I love the foreshadowing though
Thanks for another great video.
I would really appreciate a recommendation for a wireless 75% or TKL keyboard with shine through legends PBT keycaps. I like the Keychron Q3 Pro and Q1 Pro but I can't find any shine through PBT keycaps that work well with the south facing leds. Do you know of any similar keyboards that have shine through legends or have north facing leds? As an FYI, I tend to prefer brown switches (basic Gateron Pro 2.0 switches would be fine). I would like to stay under $250 USD, fully built. Thanks...
Thanks Nola!
Was going to click away at the mention of a group buy but I stayed for Nola.
Thanks Nola.
I always have the unexplained urge to listen to opera after watching your vids.
I love how the Morandis feel super solid (virtually zero rattle) and sound stock. Slightly muted thock.
But the press is just a tiny bit too heavy for my taste (60g) and feel just a hair sluggish.
I love the weight of Oil Kings (55g) and how quickly reactive they feel, but they're comparatively clacky/higher pitched than the Morandis.
Any recommendations for a stock switch that sounds like and has the tight keycap feeling of the Morandis, but has a lighter weight and feel of the Oil Kings around 55g?
Nice board and although tempting, I have decided that I don't do group buys anymore. But that's just me😊
Wow, I knew you had a nice voice but I was surprised to find out you were such a telnted musician and singer. I'm following you on Spotify ASAP
Hi Hipyo, have you tried Gateron Ink V2 Black? Is Morandi Linear better or Gateron?
Hey, I am new to custom mechanical keyboards. Been using a Steelseries blackwidow X for YEARS lol. Been looking into getting into "real" mechanical keyboards and am torn between the Zoom75 EE and the FLESPORTS MK870... I really like the "thock" sound, and dont really like "clack" or higher pitch stuff... If the Zoom75 was the same price as the MK870 I'd pick it hands down, but is the MK870 good and worth saving money on? As a reference, I'd be spending close to $340 CAD ($250 USD) just for the base Zoom75 (no switches, keycaps, etc...) versus paying roughly $250 CAD ($184 USD) for the entire build of the MK870 which includes WS Morandi switches, GMK-Key Keycaps, a PC Plate to replace the Aluminum plate it comes with, Lumia PCB Stabilizers, and the foam...
Thanks Noah
the m1w (3 mode) with the stock is great also, some of my friend bought it but has some issue (poor stab qualities, bateries error,...) but mine is perfect, the stab can be use in stock without lube (they overlube it so i have to clean the mess) i bought the full keyboard at around 70$ (they sale it in taobao at half price) so it's a super good deal in the budget at the moment i bought it
Is the m1 aluminum case ? Seems like a really solid option but it’s being undercut heavily by the nj80 and the epomaker th80
@@Mustanggt505it's al case, the nj80 now is old and don't really have a good p/p, the m1w like m1 can modify the side led and those 2 can't, if u can tell a weakness of the m1w is it heavy as fk, also the keycap are chep (ppt 2 shot but the feeling is cheap), and like i said, it only have a good price when it just came out (monsgeek discount it so much that it become a cheap al keyboard 😅)
@@Mustanggt505 m1w has an alu case and better implemented gaskets, i wouldn't necessarily say its undercut by the th80 its just a more premium alternative
You going to get the lemokey L3 when it comes out?
You really should try to mod the E yooso z686. It has so much potential yet so little attention
I JUST bought the m3... at least they don't have a tkl version yet
Binge watching hipyo videos while waiting for my keyboard parts to arrive 😁
No RGB. Might be a deal breaker.
I thought I didn't care but it'd be nice!
QK75 no rgb flew over my head because zoom and it were going bonkers and very few reviewers pointed it out.
I didn't realize until after mine was already paid for.
It's very very nice as is this I'm sure since it's a cloned mounting system. I got all caught up in tri-mode PCB with wireless and Bluetooth not even realizing there was no RGB 😣
I thought this was crazy when MyKeyClub announced this.
But with so many great 75% options these days, it's great!
Hopefully you can get your hands on a Leobog Hi75
QK group buys are safe and comparatively fast. If there are any issue, it's the vender.
Groups buys are the price we pay for for lowet cost, higher quality products than instock sales allow for. Small business FTW.
can you build one keb with your unique keycaps like those duckies and those artisan kaps.. 😍
how are monka boards? 35-40USD for A87 a tkl board
would love a review!
When are you trying the GMK67? The everyone's keyboard lol
Can you try Nuphy keyboards as well? I think they are awesome stock and I've modded all my keyboards after watching your videos, but these sound amazing already, can they actually be made to sound better? I wouldn't trust anybody else to try his best and find the answer to that question 🤣
I just bought a K8 pro and kinda wanna go with this bowrd
As a gasket bing-bong, thank you for the representation in this video 🙏
On reddit mkc commented that some color options of this keyboard is going to be sold in stock.
I just join group buy for MKC75 and learn a lot from you Hipyo, you have earned my subscribe yay. I'm so excited to get this one , this is my first to build custom keyboard.!
Amazing video
Bing Bong?? like big ben, the england's fabulous clock tower?!
Hipyo you should check out the CIDOO v75, for budget gang
I am ready to get into keyboard building but I just cannot find the parts to get the look I want. So painful
Hey should i get the Rog Azoth or the Asus Rog Strix II? (Am saying on this video because its the most recent video)
What's are people's thoughts on this compared to the zoom65 SE Tri mode
Thanks Nola.
As a british person I just have to say, Yummy yum knob knob hipyo!
Hipo do u know when the qk65 will restock???
in my opinion a budget leyboard is below 100€ fully built
I think i liked the stock version more then the modded tbh xD The stock version is a little bit deeper.. more.. color sound ? idk
Why does the ctrl key stick out so much with the case foam?
I thought my key club was behind the jris 65 and 75? Never heard of them being affiliated with Qwertykeys
I made a mistake and had their contact mislabeled in my discord. The gasket style confused me even more as I'd only seen them in QK boards. Added a pin to the top of comments and desc.
@3:45 Oh, so that's why I haven't gotten that order yet. About to put that chargeback on 'em, fucc that.
What are your thoughts on Drunkdeer a75?
Bro's cat got the norman osborn fade
is there some good fully build keyboard at 50$
hipyo loves purple/lavander.. 💜
do you have video for RK M75?
How much is the polling rate of this keyboard?
Have you made/would you make a video on a planck/ortholinear style keyboard?
not off the table
idk I think I would rather still get a monsgeek M1. Cheaper, no GB, supports VIA/QMK
Any chance you could do keyboards with ISO support also? So many Europe cry every time you review ANSI only keyboards 😢
4:08 I appreciate someone calling out how annoying anti foam people have gotten lmao!
Review the gamakay lk67
Also, isn't MyKeyClub affiliated with IRIS LAB (Jris boards), and not QK?
Yeah I made a mix up mistake, edited the desc and pinned comment
Shoutout to upload hipyo for actually putting the keycaps in the description
Could you possibly make a below $50 keyboard just like the RAKK Lam-ang Pro or anything around that price range? Cause in the Philippines anything above $50 is quite not so budget anymore
Also they just dropped the RAKK Hanan which might be a good one since it has a knob @HipyoTech
how heavy is the board fully assembled ?
Try the epo maker 75 percent it's godly
wish they got a 65% form for this
Can you pls pls pls review the rakk pirah keyboard
Can anyone recommend a good wireless keyboard besides this one? I'm a casual gamer, I'm going to use it more for coding.
To be completely honest with you Hipyo, I'm not all that interested in most of the keyboards you cover, I just watch for Nola. 😆
Hey Hipyo! You have a doppelganger that looks exactly like you called SodaPeeps!
Do the monsgeek m3!
If only Morandi switches were still available
Sir HipyoTech the great, I want to build a keyboard and have watched TONS of videos on the subject. Probably several hours worth of your videos. Some twice. I feel like I am over researching before buying. Any recommendations you have are much appreciated. I feel like I've learned enough to know I know nothing at all. I gotta have that F row. Numpad is neat but I don't need it by any means. I hate that old school boxy sharp looking style keycaps and like those ones that are more rounded, not the typewriter style circle things though. GOTTA HAVE THAT THOCCCCC. Willing to build my own or customize a full build. I think the volume knobs are pretty cool but also not a deal breaker. My favorite colors are green, purple, and black. Please help, I feel so lost 🤯
and yes I love rgb
And thank you so much for any advice that you may provide!
Have you tried any akko keyboards if yes can you mod akko world tour tokyo
Im 2.3 min in and i think i heard a morandi switch in there. Have i ?😅 Yeah i have, i am happy now❤
Hey hippio tech can you please try the theory TH80 please i bought it and its very good the sound with the budgerigar switches are very good can you unbox it please
Morandi is also the name of a famous Italian singer
For the giveaway please change how long you have to listen to the song for entries. I dont have spotify and i have to keep listening to the same song preview multiple times
Still trying to figured out what the word “budget” means for this guy.
I said it once and I will said it again SONG IS BEAUTIFUL!!
@hipyotech do you think you could do a review on the kbdcraft kit adam I just bought it and it's my first board I have to build and i'd like to hear your opinion
Already did it!
Foam makes every keyboard sound then same
What are the thickest keycaps
I need a budget board that helps the keeb sound thocky, so I was happy, but then hipyo said group buy😢
How big of a difference sound wise does a POM plate make compared to aluminum? My Sense75 came with aluminum and I have to wait until end of August for the POM plate to arrive 😅
Was going to go that way on my Sense75, but went with carbon fiber to get the free shipping now. Did a few mods and it sounds great. Force break is the only MUST mod with the S75.
I think Hipyo said it comes with the force break already prebuilt into it. I did the press and seal mod with shredded foam like in his video, I’m just waiting for the POM frame as the last edit to it
@@MichaelA-cu8zg mine didn't come with it. I did the press n seal with some dynamat in the above and on the side of the weight. Ended up using the cheap stock foam and it sounds great. I used rubber grip tape for the force break. Might even be a little too muted. Might remove the dynamat strips and go heavier on the foam.
@@XtopherMartinll check to see if mine actually has the force break on mine instead of taking their word for it. I got Godspeed MT3 keycaps which are pretty but I’m not that huge on the feel, maybe I’m still getting used to it
Edit: Force break mod was there already. I retuned my stabs while I was in and they are 👌. I also raised my chair so that my arms are 90ish degrees with the board, the typing experience with the MT3 caps feels much better!
@@MichaelA-cu8zg I used some scandalous AliExpress knockoffs I've had sitting in the garage forever and they sound pretty great for what they are.
Hipyo you should make your shock hipyo a sticker
How can they possibly get better now lol 😂
I wish I saw this before I spent 140 dollars onn my current custom
