- Ahead of his debut as an INEOS Grenadier, we dispatched Matt Stephens to chat to young American talent AJ August. Check out their sea-side conversation in the first episode in the new series of Getting To Know The Grenadiers.

AJ is truly amazing! Such a hard worker and performs great under pressure. I am so excited to watch him in his professional career!

He was so strong and consistent when he won Junior Tour of Ireland. Looked so smooth under pressure. Didn’t try to showboat but just put it down when it mattered and hid when it didn’t. Impressive.
Some crazy comments here about Matt. He is brilliant as ever, had to work hard to get anything much out of AJ - fair enough, he is young yet. Watch the one with G to see how it should flow. Matt is the man!!

Ineos should really set up a Dev team. It is just sad seeing for example michael leonard last year. Keep those kids in Dev team until they are fully ready. Putting them straight into WT makes them forget what winning is like.

Good format idea, like to get to know the riders better….but the execution is awful, dreadful quite silly content - this one is bad, the Geraint Thomas one is worse.
