Being a woodworker myself, I never had much interest in building with metal, but you guys have opened my eyes. You are true artisans! What a magnificent job! Congratulations!
(just joking with you here) As a metal worker, you wood people freak me out! I don't build stuff out of chicken bones or other organic matter... Imagine cutting something to be used tomorrow, but here come the clouds and humidity and rain and your material changes its size/shape. Also let's not really talk much about organic fusion, but welding is a beautiful craft in and of itself. Cheers and mutual respect to your craft!
awesome boat Timmy and George is the best boat builder that I've seen so far, you did it all without using any CNC machine. So impressive to see how you cut the aluminum sheet free handed and your welding skills are next level and the speed too.
I watched every ep of this build and still had to watch this time lapse ! As much as I wanted to see the build finished I didn’t want the episodes to stop, hopefully we will see Timmy, George and crew together again on a new venture soon ? Cheers again for great vids Timmy 🤙🏼
@@JoshuaRichardHancock yeah man I use to use it and it's lethal shit. It eats away at your bones without you knowing. We watered it down just to clean they using a high dose to nyalic
George, this boat construction is putting you on a map, the world is noticing you, you will need a bigger place now, all the best to you, from the Gold Coast. Allan
Mai vista tanta passione e attenzione nei dettagli, sia sulla barca che sul rimorchio, un lavoro magistrale, mostruoso. I miei più sinceri complimenti. Siete fantastici.!
What a great project you have learnt so many great life skills from George a master tradesman champion boatbuilder. The quality and hard work will shine on all the fishing trips that we all can't wait to see. How far you have come from the PVC pipe boat and plywood timber skiff boat. George is a bloody legend and the star of this boat build, what a great bloke. 💯
Ian Fraser The real star is the guy who went through the whole process barefooted !!🤣. Work place health and safety would have a field day with George. I'm surprised that , knowing this was all being filmed, he didn't take a bit more care in protecting his own arse.lol. I watched him repair Tim's skeg and he was welding without even using a mask ! WTF? how did he get away with that !!!? Still, I enjoyed the video. You don't realize just how much work goes into building a boat until you watch something like this. No wonder they aren't cheap. Hope the strengthening of the canopy turns out all right for the guys. I think you really need some sort of cover.
Love to know what welding rig was used. That was absolutely amazing to watch. The skills and attention to detail were on par with any I have ever seen. Well done, and thank you so much for sharing.
@timmyturtle i learned so many tricks from george watching this series. i'm 75 percent done with a coffee roaster, using fitting techniques i never would have figured out on my own. i hope he sees this, i feel like i owe you all something. if shipping from us to au wasnt so expensive i would have you and george peakin on coffee. thanks 'brew'
That's remarkable. Amazing the similarities in a project like this compared to one like mine building with wood. In many cases it seems easier to weld.
Sorry to disappoint you but the boat was built in New Zealand. That's Kiwi number plates on the 4WD, and Ulllrich Aluminium discs NZ based company. Besides, dudes working in bare feet are always Kiwi's. Just like the Hobbits 😅
Really a great video showing wonderful craftsmanship and guys who know their skill set , I’ve been a woodworker for 44 years and I have to compliment you all on that. The only thing I don’t like is the lack of safety being shown , from the un-strapped gas canisters, lack of fire extinguishers, no personal protective equipment are you guys aware of how bad the aluminum dust is as well as the smoke produced by the welding let alone through the pours of your skin. But the thing that really gets me is BARE FEET really and the shorts I’m speechless….
The fumes, welding UV, no hearing protection, and barefeet with the etch wash. They aren't even subtle repercussions, I don't like coughing, sun burns, or tinnitus personally.
Tim, as a learning curve in life you have just done a full apprenticeship in Aluminium Fabrication in what ever time period it took to make this boat and trailer. The issue with the T top is not enough bracing in the top of it which may or may not have been sorted by now. As for the rest that is one awesome boat you have. All you need to do now is learn how to catch and land a fish before the sharks get them lol.
The whole time I’m watching the bare foot guy just thinking how epic this Aussie is, but in the end when he’s acid etching the trailer out side I lost my mind 🤯
That was awesome!! Ok now you need to colab with another shop and have them build a truck at the same time. Bunch of parts went into the building and a truck, trailer and boat came out....
That looks like the the best boat ever made, my God the amount of welding and craftsmanship, unreal, what would a guy spend on one, with a moter ready for water?
Gotta love this, great time lapse, interesting to watch the process. I work in manufacturing and im really impressed with this. If your gonna weld things up for a living, Make them boats, satisfying 😊
was thinking the same. I guess it's "Drano" (drain cleaner) which people use to remove the anodized layer from aluminum. NaOH??? so it will re anodize nicely?? just guessing. found this: Removing Anodizing From Aluminum · Sodium Hydroxide: Also known as caustic soda or lye (NaOH), it is the most common method for stripping anodized coating.
Great Build, and gread craftsmanship! What has me concerned is that none of you is wearing breathing protection for welding or grinding. So much dust and partikles in the air.
I reckon you deserved this Tim, it’s been a long time since that sheet of ply and 4 tubes of pvc and I hope you become as well known as Rex hunt if you arnt already. Also I just wanna put one more “greorge is a legend” in the comments.
Hi Timmy , congratulations to you and everyone involved in the building of your boat . I enjoyed watching all the videos excellent craftsmanship on everything , your mate George is a fine Craftsman and welder . Congratulations again she's a beauty , it's none of my business , but if you don't mind what was the total cost of your boat ? I know you'll have years of fun and enjoyment with it , and once again congratulations to you on your boat the building and design of it .
I'm a creative too, I have done my dyi boat, it look like a warships but it not beautiful like your 😢, hope one day can crafting a great boat like you ❤ love it
Would like to see the results out doing what it was designed to do. Everything works as planned and excecuted ? Nothing is slightly out of place or misshapen? Really enjoyed the first tests.
Being a woodworker myself, I never had much interest in building with metal, but you guys have opened my eyes. You are true artisans! What a magnificent job! Congratulations!
Wood working is mystical, metal working is magical. Both are awesome.
Ok ! I’m nothing to say...

But metal is ouch pokey.

Raising a glass to your editing skills, choices in music and all that have created this masterpiece
I build boats for a living. Almost 30 years now. Watching this aluminum boat build is beyond impressive.😮
awesome boat Timmy and George is the best boat builder that I've seen so far, you did it all without using any CNC machine. So impressive to see how you cut the aluminum sheet free handed and your welding skills are next level and the speed too.
Loved the dog chilling out on the aluminium plates!

Cc can 😊😊 20:52 be vv as*😮✓😢
Incredible boat build, two things stood out, that trailer was over the top, and the bare foot guy must have the toughest and nastiest feet around.
Not to mention him in bare feet acid washing the alloy to
The soles of his feet were like sand paper and did double duty😂
@@craigedkins its neutralized by water but like still lol.

That is so bad, yabadabadoo. Poor fred.
Great music choice. Love that semi-atmospheric EDM type stuff.

I want to buy you the plans for that boat

That's a beautiful boat. I never realised just how much work goes into a custom build. Beautiful boat. Great videos.
George isn’t just the best plate boat builder he’s the fastest too!😜 turned out amazing boys!
The truth is that the work is very hard, but it is very excellent and very good engineering creativity.👍👏👏👏
I watched the whole the series. Not only is the boat awesome , but so is the trailer. And George has some mad welding skills.
Awesome stuff. Would love to see George start his own channel. 🤙
Probably the most impressive thing I’ve ever watched on UA-cam. The barefoot guy is a effin legend 😆👍

This is the best boat build you will ever see.
Obviously haven't watched Kaleidoscope HOMEMADE BACKYARD yacht, catamaran built by one man.
That is the most amazing build you'll ever see.
Your Team shows a Magnificent Craftsmanship... Congratulations More Boats for you guys to built...Great Job...
Love to know what welding rig was used. That was absolutely amazing to watch. The skills and attention to detail were on par with any I have ever seen. Well done, and thank you so much for sharing.
Hey timmy the boat is looking amazing. Thanks for all the videos of it and hard work you have put in to it and George team as well
I don't know what to say but your design is the best thus far... props to you
Welldone Timmy nice boat and George your a good bloke and a dam modest welder, that's art work.
One of the coolest and most aussie video I've ever seen love it
Clicked on this just to fast forward to the end. Ended up watching every second of it! Fucken cool.
Respect for the built.
There is some serious welding done sir.
Guess welders really do it in all positions. This Timelapse was outstanding. Well done
Wow, my mouth just hit the floor with this guy's incredible work 😂
It is amazes me that one fellow didn’t wear shoes at all. Awesome build!
Incredible craftsmanship! Absolutely stunning to watch the leather footed no shoes artist! lol. thanks.
Worked in Aerospace for 32 years that was interesting to watch Amazing work , would love to work in that fab shop. Trailer build was also awesome .
This is a great job, men should appreciate such a manual one. I took pleasure from this only😊👍😊
George you are a legend, an AOM should be coming your way. 👍🏼
it is insane what a group of guys can do with the correct tools 😁😁😁🤩🤩🤩🤩

Omg, that was amazing to watch. Thank you for sharing your talents.
That's remarkable. Amazing the similarities in a project like this compared to one like mine building with wood. In many cases it seems easier to weld.
Fascinating, no pun intended :) I have metalworking skills and appreciate this process and product.
Knew it had to be Aussies when I saw the details to construction! 👍👍🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🤘🏻🤘🏻 OMG the trailer is as detailed as the boat! 😮😮
Sorry to disappoint you but the boat was built in New Zealand. That's Kiwi number plates on the 4WD, and Ulllrich Aluminium discs NZ based company. Besides, dudes working in bare feet are always Kiwi's. Just like the Hobbits 😅
Wrong built in North Queensland bud

Outstanding
Hats off to Mr Welder... acrobat and legend of the video IMHO
Great job Tim and an honourable mention to George , shit he did some welding 👍
This should go viral 👌 great build fellas 👍
That was awesome!!
Ok now you need to colab with another shop and have them build a truck at the same time.
Bunch of parts went into the building and a truck, trailer and boat came out....
You inspire me in fabrication of my own personal speed boat. Thanks guys and keep posting.
Tim I’m watching this from Paris France matey super awesome
Esse projeto ficou incrível. Um dia eu chego lá 👍👏👏👏👏👏✌️🧭🛥️🙌🙏

Outstanding mate, this boat build has been heads to Pipe Dreams tails. Unreal journey!
That's not a boat, its a work of art. Truly a masterpiece. I hope you all get the success you so richly deserve.
I see these guys are very talented, hard working, and very smart. Loved the video. I slowed it down so I wouldn’t miss nothing! LOL LOL
Thank you for all the vids of the build , loved every minute of them. This tops it of nice 👍👍
Nice job there. Huge amount of work and weld that goes into making these ally boats.
Awesome build there Timmy, i am looking forward to creating my own boat in the near future. Lots of man hours and it has paid off!!

Let’s us know how George and Team are doing ! ❤ outstanding Team
Potentially only just recovering from very bad welding Ultraviolet ray burns to arms and legs lol
Very nice and skilfully built just the same
Saw you driving it on the m1 today brother and the boat looks absolutely mint 👌
Man this is just awesome. I want one now. Best part of the video…. The lack of shoes 😂 new meaning to steel toes. Well aluminum really
Sick boat dude, I've been watching this channel for a while now. So happy with your hard work to grow.
Great welding job. A beauty for sure.
Fantastic build.. question: 30:17 what’s the white spray on the aluminum trailer? Asking for a friend…
was thinking the same. I guess it's "Drano" (drain cleaner) which people use to remove the anodized layer from aluminum. NaOH???
so it will re anodize nicely?? just guessing.
found this:

Ok. About to rebuild a large tandem axle aluminum before moving the boat off a lift. I’ll do a little more research into Drano.
Очень классный проект получился!!! Респект!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Great Build, and gread craftsmanship!
What has me concerned is that none of you is wearing breathing protection for welding or grinding.
So much dust and partikles in the air.
guys this was awesome. Incredible! Loved it!!!
incredible worksmanship! Wow.
That is really impressive work. Well done guys.. Simplesmente um luxo.. top top .
