This truck is the best kept secret in America. Handles like a car and has great acceleration. Rides like a dream and makes you hate to get out of it at the end of your trip. 👍🏾♥️👍🏾
It’s a great vehicle. I had one 3 years ago, 2016 model. There are two mistakes in the video. The engine its a 2.4L, not 2.5, and the replacement tire it’s under de car at the back.
I just bought mine last Saturday for 25,000.00 I'm impressed. Mine is a 2019 GT white with ski racks (at night people slow down around me cause they think I'm a cop) The basics of good gas, all wheel drive, 7 seats, creature comforts, versatile cargo and good clean non aggressive good looks. I like it a lot. Having said that.. I wish there were more storage places to put your phone slash Nick's. But all in all it's great.
We are looking into a 19 GT. They are extremely hard to find. Looks like the infotainement screen on the 2020 is junk and the digitizer fails. Guess the one off quick change after they lost the Fosgate contract meant a cheap screen. We want the rear vents that the 2019 got. If we don't find one the next option will probably be a Highlander. How is your MPG?
@JD AUTO WORLD we ended up fixing our 07. Had the dealer do a diagnostic on the transmission and it was deemed in good condition. We're right around 190k miles.
My 2016 got awful reviews but it works great, got year old 7,000 mi GT V6 with radar cruise and tow, good performance and space and 3rd row, much cheaper than Highlander or CX-9 but doesn't drive or space much different.
I have a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander! Everything was going fine until a few months ago when it would start shuddering violently at certain speeds! I Took it into the dealer, only to be informed that the transmission needs replacement at $10K… Just for the part! 😱 And another $3k for the labor to install. Ironically the young man who provided me with a shuttle service told me that his 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander also has a fried transmission! His mechanic uncle informed him to NEVER buy a CVT transmission again, as they tend to die out much sooner that traditional transmissions!
I have 2019 Mitsubishi outlander sel should l keep it or should I trade it in for 2022 outlander sel. There is a sensor on the windscreen and may l know what is it for
Its not getting good recognition coz mitsubishi is doing piss poor job promoting thier product. That iconic Lancer Evolution is still a highly sought after tuner car made popular on offroad rallye racing in the 80s. Mitsu is one japanese brand that has least defect recall in the market, you can fact check that. Like any other brand with cvt, sorry. GT V6 is what i got with traditional transmission, the closest you can get to an Evo with S-AWC all wheel drive system
Actually the CVT is like no other. It even has a dipstick to check and fill with oil. Mitsu actually cared about the maintenance. And also it sends full power. Doesnt limit the vehicle!
Do you have a 2020 / 2021 Outlander Sport version review, the car looks like this one. Is SE a sport version? will be picking up a Sport 2021 which is like the one you have, here in NZ but it doesn't have electric mirrors and its all black with black alloys.
Great video. I think the problem with Mitsubishi aside from the brand is the quality and design. It’s just really difficult to beat the Japanese and Korean brands that have not only a better brand presence and recognition, but they also have outstanding reliability. It looks like Mitsubishi is on the right track to catch up but if this car is just as good as a Ford or Chevrolet, I think someone’s aunt or grandma would likely go with those better known brands.
Like the style overall. Inside no storage in center console, most say under powered 4cyl.Dealers are very few and far between, a on the road breakdown could be a major problem to be towed to a dealer many miles away. Look at a 2019 Santa Fe SEL it blows this away for $25,500 same warranty as the Mitsu !
Hyundai is a great brand but first the Santa Fe doesn't get nearly the fuel economy and isn't a 7-passenger vehicle. Also the ground clearance is kinda weak at 7.3" vs 8.5".
With that CVT, I regularly get 34/35 MPG on the highway in my 2018. City is usually 25-27. Out of a 7-passenger non-hybrid vehicle, I think that's amazing. I love it!
@@hannesRSA no it's not. Especially Jatco CVTs. Far less reliable and horrible drone. Only option for reliability is the V6 drivetrain. The fact Honda is the only company to make a reliable CVT says a lot about them. All regards is laughable because the current Rav 4 gets better fuel economy with a basic auto and more powerful engine. So it fails in economy and reliabilty. When they fail the only option is brand new from dealer so you can't even cheaply fix when they fail.

I've the 4wd 2009 rally red base model and it's an amazing car, very effective with little fuel.
So you think cars are about look interior material and sound? Buyers want reliability first
I love the grill as well. I also enjoyed the video.

Thank you! You are correct on all of the above
Drives super smooth tons of room heated seats win

@@Brisco_County_Jr im getting best 27-30 worst 19-23. Use cruise control and keep it at 74 mph to get 30 and in city traffic i get the 19.

Mitsubishi are very reliable, you be a fool to pay 10K more for a comparable Toyota
Love this car

Yeah man these transmission need fluid/ filter changed every 30k miles or they are going to fail
Is it not covered with the 10 year Mitsubishi Diamond warranty?
The camera bit was wrong, only if you had the Gear on Reverse it would show the back up, since it’s on D it’s showing 5he front
Mine is 2019 sel but it doesn't have all the cameras you are talking about. I only have back up camera

make sure you grab a awc variant

The Outlander is built in Japan, so you are saying the quality IS good?
It’s just basic that’s all
I've yet to see a Korean car with good reliability.
Where is the spare tire
under rug in rear of vehicle
Hi, I found out this model does not have a spare tire.

No 7-passenger and terrible fuel economy on the Hyundai.
Nice looking SUV. Problem is, poor resale, dealers are to far and in between for warranty service. Can't compare to my 2019 Hn-Day Santa Fe.
In my country SantaFe is 30% more expensive, +10k than the Outlander
Hyundai is a great brand but first the Santa Fe doesn't get nearly the fuel economy and isn't a 7-passenger vehicle. Also the ground clearance is kinda weak at 7.3" vs 8.5".
BTW, my 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander’s dead transmission happened at only 50K miles! 😩👎👎😤
car is waaaay too narrow
Cvt 👎
