I bought this 2018 Outlander GT and I have ZERO regrets! This is a well over looked and honestly a hidden gem among all those that are either over rated (toyota) or just too popular just because it's a brand that saturated the world over (honda). With the SAWC I love seeing how good this is and I know they have nothing to lose with that warranty! I highly recommend getting this to more for your money! 3 rows of seats, 7 passengers, tow up to 3,500 pounds, AWD, and the 3.0 V6 engine...you can't go wrong!
The Outlander is sadly overlooked vs rivals like Rav4, CR-V, Forester, Tiguan, Escape and Equinox. Mitsubishi are pretty reliable, well equipped, and AWD system is above average.
Forester has awesome AWD though. Hard to beat Subaru's AWD. We have 2 Subaru's but I was looking at the Outlander for it's 3rd row seat, and the fact that it's gong to be a lot cheaper than the upcoming Subaru Ascent.
My father used to have a Legacy before he switched to the Outlander. Honestly Mitsubishi's AWD is not anywhere inferior to that of Subaru (the rally car wars between the Impreza STI & Lancer Evo should be noted). If you are planning to get a Mitsu, the higher-trim with S-AWC is the one to buy as it has active differentials & driver selected modes.
I am in the market for a small/midsized SUV, and this wasn't even on my radar. I am currently renting vehicles for my family road trips. I've recently driven a Rogue, an Escape, a Jeep, a RAV4, and this Outlander, all long trips. I drove the Mitsubishi for a week, bookended by 13 hour one way drives, and its a winner. From gas mileage to road noise, interior space/features/layout, seat comfort (I'm 6' 0", 280 lbs), passing slower traffic, it's everything I'm looking for. I should have one parked in my garage by the end of the month.
My toyota rav4 2013 with 70,000 km began to lose oil. Toyota company says that it is due to engine wear. They do not want to recognize the guarantee. I am very disappointed. My next car will be a mitsubishi outlander. (CHILE)
I have a 2015 and I love it ! You will not find a better value in a SUV than this . I get 28-31 MPG at 65 Miles Per Hour on long trips . 100,000 mile warranty. sunroof , leather , 7 passenger seating , smooth quiet ride and if you work on your own car the engine is directly in the center of the chassis . Equal space all the way around . I gave $27,000 for mine , cant beat all you get here . I highly recommend it .
We own a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2.4L GT 4X4 and could not be happier! We purchased it on 10/31/16 brand new. It was $32,940.00 and after Rebates and Discounts it was $26,700.00. Our GT was higher than most as it had the Optional Navigation Package, LED Interior Illumination Package (foot wells light up blue and has a cool round blue led light built into the tailgate), Upgraded LED Fog Lights to match the HID Headlights, Cargo Package, Remote Engine Start, Park Assist Package, Chrome Package, Sport Package with Larger Rear Spoiler and Steel Fuel Door, Mud Guards, Rear Silver Bumper Under Cover, Color Keyed Bodyside Moldings, Scuff Plates, Window Rain Guards, more!!! We searched far and wide to find one with all the options and accessories vs a GT with no options for $27,000.00. We also added Mitsubishi License Plate Frames and Mitsubishi Valve Stem Caps. It drives like a true SUV and sits high and does not feel like a wagon or hatchback (Honda HR-V) when you drive it. The ride is surprisingly good and handling is confident and we are getting around 28 mpg combined driving. You cant find a new SUV with all these Features, Capabilities, Safety, and Warranty for $27,000.00 loaded with everything. The Panoramic Roof and 710 Watt Rockford Fosgate Audio is amazing sounding. The Outlander brothers are 2 amazing SUVs that do great in the snow and light off road and are overlooked to often and people really miss out on a reliable SUV with tons of features, lower price than any competitors with huge rebates and dealer discounts and a long warranty! Plus owners love their Mitsubishis! The remote start keyfob is really neat and digital and you can adjust it to run from 10 mins up to 30 mins and it lights up. The push start with keyless access on front doors and tailgate is so convenient. Also when sitting in the rear it has theater style seating so you sit above the front passengers and I read on Mitsubishis news page that helps prevent rear passengers from getting car sick. Also with the huge panoramic roof its like sitting in a car w/ova roof lol. It does not open which prefer because I always use AC. Now at night time it is lined with orange led mood lighting all around it and can be adjusted to 3 different levels, it makes this car unique and looking thru it at night is amazing. The rockford fosgate audio is unreal and has so many settings to get it just to your liking and wow can it kick! We looked at quiet a few SUVs but the ones we drove were the Buick Encore, Toyota Rav-4, Honda HR-V, Hyundai Tuscon and Kia Sportage. They were all nice Vehicles but in top trims loaded with the features we wanted they pushed upper 30K range ($36K - $40K), way to expensive. The HR-V however for the top trim was amazingly priced but it felt like a hatchback and not an SUV and the styling is very borning. In the end it came down to the Outlander Sport or the Encore. We chose this because of its styling, warranty, price, features, proven reliability record, safety, owner satisfaction, added accessories, 3 mode selectible 4x4 and not just AWD, and that it drove like a true SUV and not a car based type SUV. It sits high and has that SUV feeling to it. Sure the Encore rode smoother but we liked the Outlander Sport better than all the others as it gave everything we wanted at a much better price and with a long warranty. Even if others could have undercut the price we still would have chose the Outlander Sport GT as Mitsubishi’s are very reliable. The 2.4L 168 hrsp engine is really peppy and if you floor it it pushes you back in you seat a lil lol. Its not a race car but has plenty of power for me! When you put it in 4x4 lock you can really feel all 4 wheels gripping the ground. These 18 inch wheels are sharp and really add to its looks! We also owned a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage and traded it on the newly updated 2017 Mirage G4 SE and wow! I absolutely loved my 2015 Mirage ES CVT with Navigation. I loved it so much in fact when I saw the 2017 versions released we traded it and went with a 2017 Mirage G4 SE in the all new Wine Red Exterior and Light Gray Interior! My car stickered for $18,115.00 and I got it for $12,714.00 with rebates and dealer discounts. I was first going to get a Mystic Black 2017 Mirage GT but in the end decided on the Mirage G4 SE. Now mind you that is the top trim model fully loaded for $12,714.00! They had base model CVT Mirage and Mirage G4s for under $11,000.00 at Renn Kirby Mitsubishi I saw on the lot! On top of that you get bluetooth, pw, pl, pm, keyless entry, keyless access, entry buttons on the driver door and trunk, cruise, steering wheel audio controls, auto climate control, ac, push button start, auto up down drivers window, apple car play and android auto, am/fm/cd/mp3/usb/bluetooth, back up camera, outside temperature display, fold down rear seat arm rest with cup holders, semi high contrast gauge cluster, outside temp display, 15 inch dark titanium alloy wheels, spare tire (many new expensive cars do not), height adjustable driver seat, speed sensitve windshield wipers, leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, massive rear seat with oodles of legroom in the G4, fog lights, and so much more! Beat that Nissan Versa and Chevy Spark. If you want a reliable new car loaded with features, has a long warranty and huge discounts then go get a Mirage or Mirage G4. When you watch reviews and people bit h about the Mirages price being to high always remember you are never going to pay that there are always rebates and dealer discounts ranging between $2,000.00 and $5,000.00 depending on the dealer and mitsubishi rebate. It is the only car I will own now and this is my 8th new car before someone says it must be my first car and thats why I think it is a good car. I have owned a new 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage, 2013 Hyundai Elantra, 2010 Kia Soul, 2008 Hyundai Sonata, 2005 Chevy Cavalier, 2003 Hyundai Accent, 2002 Kia Rio. All of those were bought new as my 2017 Mirage G4 SE was and I owned 3 used cars before those. The Mirage and Mirage G4 are such neat little charismatic cars. Its so fun to rev up the 78 horsepower 3 cylinder engine and still get awsome mpg. They ride so smooth in town and on the highway. Dont listen to the negative critic reviews look at owner reviews because the owners love them So I say if you are thinking about a Mitsubishi go for it. The new Outlander Sport is a true feeling SUV with selectable 4X4 with a button (2WD, Auto 4X4, 4X4 Lock) and loaded with features, safety and an amazing warranty! My coworker has had her Mirage 3 years and not a single problem and she will be buying another one in a year as its the only car she will buy now. Go for it and drive a Mitsubishi and you will want one lol. For 2018 they made several styling updates to the Outlander Sport and trim line and packaging changes. Plus restyled the interior center console, added all new infotainment systems that are really up to date, added sound insulation and more! So now their value equation is even better and they supply top notch reliability for many many years of trouble free motoring.
There are actually two recalls for my 2017 se. You should enter you VIN on their official site recall page. www.mitsubishicars.com/owners/service?q=recallinfo There should be one to reprogram the computer for the electronic brake. The other is for the backseat seatbelt. Good luck!
By the way rented many outlanders and hit the outback, you name it we drove through some of the most and amazing places and never had any issues. Great cars.
Interestingly, this was the video I watched before I bought this exact vehicle years back. It's been an absolutely zero problem excellent vehicle. I wish more reviewers were this thorough. Thanks for making this review back then!
Chad you're running a month late with this video from January ?I like the looks "style" overall, prob. could purchase one for a discounted price from most dealers as you stated. My concern would be trade-in value after a few years and finding Mitsu. dealers if needed for service & repairs when traveling. What say you ?
I live in Dallas Texas and went to Rusty Wallace Volkswagen and found this exact same year and color yesterday and I'm trading my current car in for it. I got a good deal flawless carfax report one previous owner, and just over 34,000 miles on the odometer. It still has a year and a half left on the Mitsubishi warranty and in addition I purchased the extended warranty with gap insurance. I'll pick it up in about a day or two, once they go through it and get it ready for inspection. I did test drive it yesterday and I noticed in my particular model which I believe is 162 horsepower, and with the CVT transmission not much power at all but that's okay because I know cvts were built for fuel economy not power. In my current car which is the 2016 Toyota Scion I am it has a CVT transmission. Great video thank you for uploading it.
I have a 2007 Outlander, LS. Bought it brand new with 12 miles on it. I had just been in a very bad accident and was looking for a Safer Car. We test drove several cars, including the Rav4, CRV, Escape, etc. Spent 5 months looking. I LOVE my Mitsu. Have over 180K miles on it. Changing the Front Shocks this weekend. I have kept regular maintenance over the years and have never had a problem with it. We looked at replacing it with 2017, and also test drove the '18, but honestly, this car is STILL running strong. My only complaint, the stereo Head Unit. System sounds great, but the CD Scanning and Shuffle could be better. Just being picky.
I forgot to mention , 10 inch subwoofer and the best sounding music i've ever heard in a car or SUV .With surround sound you feel like you are in the music . Plus you can tell the stereo to call someone and it will call them for you and their voice comes across the surround sound .Way Cool !
I have had quite a few suvs and this is my ninth Mitsubishi. Only one thing the cell phone volume on system was changed to a max of 11 when previously it could go to 43 . other than that the vehicle for the price is impressive and handles very well. everyone that has gotten in my suv is like wow nice ride and well i tell them how much i get jaws open. In the past two years i had the lancer , outlander sport sel and now this one. outlander SEL. already 28k yeah i drive alot .
I’ve owned 4 Outlander/Outlander Sports over the past SIX years driving over 200,000 miles. Absolutely reliable and dependable with zero problems or defects. I get 27 city/32 hwy mpg and I used Mobile One synthetic oil. 10 yr/100,000 miles power train warranty with a standard 5 yr/60,000 miles bumper to bumper warranty. Dealers wheel and deal and certified used ones are a great bargain. Not too fancy like other brands, but save $10k and get Mitsubishi. My 4wd/AWD system absolutely conquers nasty Ohio winters!
I really don’t understand why so many car reviews don’t like the cvt I love it I own a Mitsubishi sportsback lancer in Australia and find no problems with the transmission maybe Americans just ant use to it. All in all great cars.
I see outlanders and outlander sports quite often where I live. I can't believe how cheap these cars are considering they are built in japan using 100 percent of japanese parts.
We've had a 2015 Outlander since new. They really are an underrated gem. Japanese build quality is still among the best and our rig is now at 50k miles with no issues what so ever. Mitsu's all wheel drive system is as good if not better than any of the competitions. I am a Honda fanatic and probably would have gone with a CRV but we really need the 3rd row. The Pilot is too big and too much $$. The Outlander is the perfect size and the price is right with deep discounts not to mention the outstanding warranty. Only down size is the depreciation.
I am thinking in getting this next year. Do you have any bad sides about it? I mentioned here my concern about the absence of enough air vents at the middle and third row seats. Is this a problem for you? Also, do you have the GT or the 4 cylinder model? Mileage and so on? Thanks
Got one. Similar price to X-Trail, CX5 and Rav4 but significantly bigger and every bit as good. Design is a bit long in the tooth but if you buy it as a method of transportation and not a fashion accessory, it's great :o) Mine's the PHEV so I charge it overnight and rarely use any petrol: I love it!
At headlight adjustment should be available for all vehicles way too many pickups on the road but there's look like they're high at beams but they're not they're just heavy loaded
Gaww that drone. I hear that every time I drive my car without the radio cranked up to cover it. Bad enough the rubber band takeoff feeling trying to get through short green lights
@@chadhaire1711 Yes, I'm not a fan of Nissan at all and feel that will undermine many of the good things Mitsubishi had going for it. I used to buy and sell a lot of the Montero Sports in the mid 2000's they were a great SUV and less than half the price of a 4 Runner at the dealer auctions.
@@yizenith6748 The new Outlander 2022 has a Nissan engine and platform from Nissan Rouge.....a result of Nissan merging with Mitsubishi. It has nothing to do with this 2018 model in this video. If you are a fan of Nissan go ahead, but I would not own a Nissan Rouge at any price.
@@yizenith6748 I think GAC is a Chinese make sold in the middle east which I assume you are at. When in doubt always stick to Toyota or Lexus brand. They cost more but are better.
Thanks for the review, Chad. I've been wondering about the Outlander. I deliver the mail and there are several Mitsubishi's on my route. All Outlander's or Outlander Sports. One house has 2 of them. I've been wanting to ask them what they think about them. We have a Subaru Forester which we absolutely love, and I drive an Impreza to work. However we have a family of 5 which is pretty crowded in a Forester. Subaru's new 7/8 passenger vehicle - the Ascent - is coming out soon but it starts at $31,000. I'm looking at this as a possible alternative since I can get a loaded Outlander for $31,000. Thanks again.
I like the car but I don't like that it has no climate control/vents at the back seats except those pipes under the front seats blowing to the back. this is not enough for such big cabin.
Trick to this point vents away from front passengers and directly towards rear of vehicle. Entire cabin will cool or warm to optimal temperature in due time!!
The wife and I test drove one just the other day, seriously considering buying one. A little leery of the lowish JD Power Rating for Mitsubishi, but they gave Subaru a lowish rating, too. Go figure.
JD POWER is a joke..they only rate first 90 days of ownership....doesn't mean crap 2 years after you buy it. Reliability of this rig has been far above average. Consumer reports, who also hates this Mitsubishi even admitted the reliability. Yes this is an outdated platform but it has its good points...7 seats and 10 year warranty.
Buff Barnaby I promise you with only 72k km on the clock I already have enough headaches. On my next buy I won't think of any of the Mitsubishi makes...
@@chadhaire1711 Well you can own a gun but not necessarily the type you fancy, but you cannot transfer a gun culture to a country that does not have one like yours, if we allowed it even you would say "Holy Shit, and they say we got a gun problem" every night would be a bloodbath. Kids [18 plus would say "Whoopee do, look what I got'" and then the "fun" would start. You do have one arse up law in your country courtesy of the pilgrim fathers, you cannot imbibe alcohol until you are 21, but you can buy a gun at 18???, you should reverse this, the kid that is nice to his grandmother, never kicks the cat, just might turn out to be a raging Psychopath when he gets a skin full, let him have booze for 3 years THEN you will have a better idea as to whether he should be allowed a gun.Cheers, Nice to see you lookin' after that moggie.
I clearly stated there was a V-6 available at 2:35-2:50...sounds like you need to edit your comments, not me. Mitsubishi might be big in Japan but the smallest in USA.
CVT is not for sporty driving. It is for ordinary day to day driving. And that, it does very good and economical. Never exceed 2500 rpm and you are good to go with a CVT.
Never exceed 2500 rpm?...easy to do if you never leave the driveway....on the road CVT sucks.....and so called fuel economy savings do not pan out in the real world......this vehicle needs a real gearbox like a 6-speed but that isn't going to happen...so CVT it is.
i'm on my second mitsubishi....both outlanders (2016 and 2017) Horrible build quality. 4 months into owning it , the ABS module started leaking lots of brake fluid....destroyed all the paint in engine bay and subframe. Mitsubishi said too bad. Now , brand new car with exposed sheet metal ...will rust in a year. Lots of other issues with the car also. side view mirror cracked in half while driving on highway...never seen something like that in my life...nobody believes me...including the dealer. Interior squeaks and rattles after few months of fine pavement driving. I wanted something different than the usual honda and toyota....big costly mistake on my part. also, their dealerships are 3rd world...1 mechanic, 1 service rep..etc.....mom/pop feel when you deal with them. i live in fort lauderdale , so lots of dealers around....all with the same feel....subpar. Good news is they never feel crowded...show rooms are ghost towns. For what you get , their pricing should be way under the competition....by a 1/4 , just to stay in business. Both my cars averaged 15 mpg combined ....for a small suv ( i gave mitsu a shot because of long financing deals they had....6 years at 0 apr....wasn't worth it.
traded it in for the 17 so i could get the adaptive cruise control, blind spot, 360 camera...etc. only mitsu would let me trade it in for another mitsu and not loose a ton on depreciation....lost $4k on depreciation (1.5 y/o car ) ...they baked it into the price of the new one. everything i mentioned above is true...not an once of exaggeration...i wish it wasn't because it's created lots of misery in my life. as i write this , i just came from the dealership after picking up the car for the brake issue. i can't even confirm issue was fixed as they didn't even clean the area of brake fluid. i took a napkin and dabbed it under the abs and it was still full of fluid....hope is from the leak before. they prob used a dirty rag to wipe some fluid off.....that took all paint way ....abs module mounting bracket is completely stripped of paint ....paint on the frame all bubbled up all the way down to the subframe....and subframe paint (black paint) all destroyed. I got lots of pics. The service coordinator was like" well , at least you don't live up north, so you don't have to worry about rust". at least the brake pedal feel is firmer now...maybe i had some air in the system before
Rental cars are abused beyond anything normal--and wrecked a lot. It doesn't tell you crap. At 20K mikes they are shot. Rental companies trade them in every 6 months for a reason.
Sluggish and Noisy as fuck,,,, stick shift with a pathetic, outdated 5 speed would not make it any much better, but I will go for it if the other choice is the Unrefined CVT...

This thing is a bullet proof. My 2017 sel just turned 47k, zero recalls, zero issues so far
Thanks for making this review back then!
noted
This was the video that sold me on getting mine! A month in and Im loving it!
what year??
Outlander is an under rated gem, good review Chad!
Consumer Reports hates it......but they hate all Mitsubishi's
The reliability is listed as good. Owners rave about their Outlanders and Outlander Sports.
Chad you're running a month late with this video from January ?I like the looks "style" overall, prob. could purchase one for a discounted price from most dealers as you stated. My concern would be trade-in value after a few years and finding Mitsu. dealers if needed for service & repairs when traveling. What say you ?
They used to really like the Galant back in the day.
Chad you should stop making videos because they suck
Great video thank you for uploading it.
the new 2022 Outlander has a Nissan frame and Nissan engine....yuk......yours is better.
Your videos are both informative and hilarious, Chad. Thank you.
now all I need are 1 million more viewers...but I will be 200 years old by then..LOL
I’m driving now out Mitsubishi Outlander (7 seater) since 2009 to present it’s a great vehicle. Never disappointed!!!!
My husband has this SUV and loves it. No complaints. It really good looking too.
I really don’t understand why so many car reviews don’t like the cvt I love it I own a Mitsubishi sportsback lancer in Australia and find no problems with the transmission maybe Americans just ant use to it. All in all great cars.
Horrible transmission.....think you had better look at my Mitsubishi Mirage video.
bro this guy cracks me up! his dry humor man.
have 250 other videos to watch
no he is not funny. dont lie to this guy
@@chadhaire1711 what's your subscription count sire
I have not looked but i done thing it is 1 million yet
@@chadhaire1711 Perhaps you have hidden it as I cannot see on your channel as normally would with other UA-camrs
I just want to say thank you so much for showing the headlight performance.
we do it in all our videos.
Last row is for the in laws
its where I put my friends who voted for that skank Hillary!!
chad haire ... Okay, now I'll subscribe.
dont forget to watch the other 253 videos we have
Fuck trump
I'm getting 25mpg with roof rack/yakima box on top. I love my 2018 outlander
better keep it..new ones have Nissan engines and frames....yuk
If you get a big discount you shouldn't worry about resale value...it all works out in the end...
I am thinking in getting this next year. Do you have any bad sides about it? I mentioned here my concern about the absence of enough air vents at the middle and third row seats. Is this a problem for you? Also, do you have the GT or the 4 cylinder model? Mileage and so on? Thanks
Very good review. Considering buying one and giving current Escape back to Ford. I am tired of Ford's poor quality.
See my Mitsubishi Outlander sport video. Chenevert? Any relatives in Arizona? LOL.. I suspect there are....
I have two PHEV videos posted
Love your reviewing style, Chad! You crack me up! I also am very impressed with my 2017 Outlander GT. Like you said, it's a very underrated SUV!
Dude I love your no BS review. Subd
dont forget 289 other videos to watch---more Mitsubishi too
A real review of things I am average person like me cares about, thanks.
have other Mitsubishi videos to watch and 2 more on the way next month...
have more videos to watch
At headlight adjustment should be available for all vehicles way too many pickups on the road but there's look like they're high at beams but they're not they're just heavy loaded
I think the typical American driver is too stupid to use headlight adjustment.
Especially if they voted for Hillary.
I have the Sport with the hi intensity discharge lights . I love the brightness and adjustable headlights.
A 2004 - 2008 Toyota Solara also has the adjustable light function. Toyota never reintroduced it in any of the cars after that
Looking to buy a 18 SEL:Any advice 101000 miles fully loaded. I’m impressed with safety and price.
One owner with maintenance records yes.......if not you take a chance with any car..just make sure it was serviced
agree on the low beam led lights - wide spread...the high beams looked to be halogen in its reflector housing.
What I say about our Mitsubishi rvr , "it is what it is". I like your style, to the point with no bull shit.
have a Mustang Gt due next month.......
chad haire I'm still waiting for your f250 6.2 gas. Don't disappoint me. Thanks brother
Gaww that drone. I hear that every time I drive my car without the radio cranked up to cover it. Bad enough the rubber band takeoff feeling trying to get through short green lights
Mann..your humor made me laugh so loud! Damn..keep up the good work, nice review man!👍
This is old..i have more newer videos.
Mitsubishi has built many good reliable cars over the years, it seems their marketing of them is the weak point.
merging with Nissan didn't help
@@chadhaire1711 Yes, I'm not a fan of Nissan at all and feel that will undermine many of the good things Mitsubishi had going for it. I used to buy and sell a lot of the Montero Sports in the mid 2000's they were a great SUV and less than half the price of a 4 Runner at the dealer auctions.
Looks like a pretty nice SUV, Mitsubishi eclipse cross coming in the near future?
did that video--look it up
I almost bought one 10 years ago did they get rid of the formaldehyde smell inside the brand new SUVS?
The point of buying a new car is to get that new car smell...sniff!
Too few dealers nationwide could be a problem for parts and service...........
Not if you have a dealer in town.....try getting a part for a German car anywhere...
4 cyl and cvt killed it for me. Their engine output is like 2 generations behind too.
perhaps but they run forever
So, do you recommend us to buy it ?
what year?
2022
@@yizenith6748 The new Outlander 2022 has a Nissan engine and platform from Nissan Rouge.....a result of Nissan merging with Mitsubishi. It has nothing to do with this 2018 model in this video. If you are a fan of Nissan go ahead, but I would not own a Nissan Rouge at any price.
What about those called GAC: gs5 ?
@@yizenith6748 I think GAC is a Chinese make sold in the middle east which I assume you are at. When in doubt always stick to Toyota or Lexus brand. They cost more but are better.
Another question, CVT is not a good thing ?
depends on who makes it---Nissan CVT are junk
Great review! Never seen that bump test before haha hope you make a review of the subaru crosstrek
did the crosstrek video a few years ago--not much has changed..look it up
It sure does look better than ugly overpriced subarus. Probably much more reliable too
Great review but better blog
This guys should make reviews
We just brought the 2.4L LS 4WD model
How you like? Going to go test drive my Outlander LE model this week.
I would love to see you do one of these videos with new hybrid Outlander to compare.
The factory took it back..dont know if it is coming back.....
have the electric hybrid right now--will do the video this week
I love the cvt. It's much more efficient.
No its not
wish there was toyota this big.
how about Toyota Land Cruiser
I dont think there is 3 row land cruiser, amazing machine, wish there were siena/highlander in israel.
Land Cruiser has 3 rows here..at $90,000 USA it better
Thanks again.
you can pick up a slightly used one rather cheap...still with warranty..
awful video chad
It should serve you well...they are reliable enough...but if it blows up it's not my fault! LOL,,
haire yep I'm looking at 2 of them next week, one at 18,000 miles, and 22,000 miles....I hoped I've found my gem
I like the car but I don't like that it has no climate control/vents at the back seats except those pipes under the front seats blowing to the back. this is not enough for such big cabin.
If the passengers in back are not making the car payments or paying for gas they can't complain about riding in third class seats!!! LOL
Trick to this point vents away from front passengers and directly towards rear of vehicle. Entire cabin will cool or warm to optimal temperature in due time!!
AVL is spot on. Works like a charm
19 will have
I currently drive a 2010 Escape and I do exactly that with the front vents and turn the fans up. Works just fine for the back and she warms up quickly
Chicken poop, made me laugh out loud... Great review.. Still on the fence about buying one over the RAV4..
both good pick Honda too. others not so good
Was that a flip phone in the center console? Love the review.
Flip phone $15 at Walmart. and $100 per year to run.......and no tracker device to spy on me like smart phones!
This is the fastest SUV I've ever driven
downhill?
better see my Alfa Romeo SUV video--it is faster then either
The fastest I've ever driven
The wife and I test drove one just the other day, seriously considering buying one. A little leery of the lowish JD Power Rating for Mitsubishi, but they gave Subaru a lowish rating, too. Go figure.
JD POWER is a joke..they only rate first 90 days of ownership....doesn't mean crap 2 years after you buy it. Reliability of this rig has been far above average.
Consumer reports, who also hates this Mitsubishi even admitted the reliability.
Yes this is an outdated platform but it has its good points...7 seats and 10 year warranty.
Yeah, we decided to go with our gut on this one. We love it.
You had to try the new hybrid version is a whole new game
cant get one
But did the dog like it?
the cat liked it..
Cats are too damn finicky for cars. Dogs seem to love Subaru wagons, trucks and jeeps and the occasional crossover based on what I see.
I'm driving a Mitsubishi outlander 2014...The car's a nightmare to drive.
oh really...how so
There's a 'transmission oil temperature high' alarm going off when am averaging 160kmh when doing long distances. That to me is a turn off.
The vehicle has a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty--fix the damn thing
Team Rakgalakane my 2003 Focus 2.3 has a big trans cooler. 160K trouble-free miles.
Not a CVT😁
Buff Barnaby I promise you with only 72k km on the clock I already have enough headaches. On my next buy I won't think of any of the Mitsubishi makes...
More about the cvt ?
what about it
We get the diesel down under and its got good torque characteristics. full size spare tyre, don't know if its full size in US.
you can own a diesel there but not a gun.....here we can own a gun but no Mitsubishi diesel. I will take the gun....
Can I ask you what trim level?
dont remember--long gone
Does this car have auto headlights?
I dont remember...it went away long ago
i liked the mansion more lol.
How much is the discounts? I'm might buy one
end of year sale best..any 2017 left?
We got a new '18 with a $2000 factory rebate. I believe they are still doing the rebate until the end of April
hey chad! nice video, i am now subscribing to your channel.
am testing a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport -- will have that video out next week,
waiting. i own a renault megane 2006 model. i am planning to upgrade to a SUV. i have shortlisted outlander which fits my budget.
I cant. Believe that mitsubishi finally made a decent car!
now that they merged with Nissan more to come i think

this is such a bad video. worst video on the internet
Yes ,we have V6 engine in USA, mit outlander GT.
Better check before to edit a video..and not small company
I clearly stated there was a V-6 available at 2:35-2:50...sounds like you need to edit your comments, not me. Mitsubishi might be big in Japan but the smallest in USA.
lol, great review.... Might be getting one. Gotta love AZ, lol
did all 3 Outlander models. Sport and PHEV
Where's the PHEV? That's the car that everybody wants.
will have it in about 6 weeks...
hahaha you're the best! chicken poop neighbourhood hahahaha
The PHEV model only averages 25 mpg after the electric batteries are depleted. Not that efficient.
I think we said that
God Dame Aleast they could have done was have fake gear change sounds to that CVT. It seriously sound like a hairdryer 😣
I dont believe you...the first outlander was so bad you bought another? Show us the documentation.of all these problems.......
traded it in for the 17 so i could get the adaptive cruise control, blind spot, 360 camera...etc. only mitsu would let me trade it in for another mitsu and not loose a ton on depreciation....lost $4k on depreciation (1.5 y/o car ) ...they baked it into the price of the new one. everything i mentioned above is true...not an once of exaggeration...i wish it wasn't because it's created lots of misery in my life. as i write this , i just came from the dealership after picking up the car for the brake issue. i can't even confirm issue was fixed as they didn't even clean the area of brake fluid. i took a napkin and dabbed it under the abs and it was still full of fluid....hope is from the leak before. they prob used a dirty rag to wipe some fluid off.....that took all paint way ....abs module mounting bracket is completely stripped of paint ....paint on the frame all bubbled up all the way down to the subframe....and subframe paint (black paint) all destroyed. I got lots of pics. The service coordinator was like" well , at least you don't live up north, so you don't have to worry about rust". at least the brake pedal feel is firmer now...maybe i had some air in the system before
sounds like you should do a youtube video so you can show us--talking about it is not helping your cause.

The key word here is "RENTAL"....all rentals are trashed before their time...
chad haire a rental should be test to the durability and when a car only has 9k on it and it’s crap that says something.
Rental cars are abused beyond anything normal--and wrecked a lot.
It doesn't tell you crap. At 20K mikes they are shot. Rental companies trade them in every 6 months for a reason.
chad haire if you say so but the infinity, Durango, and Cadillac I’ve had have all been decent
Durango doesn't need any help falling apart
85 degrees, global warming Chad 👍
Global warming? Only here! It is snowing 100 miles away and the entire east coast has record lows -20 degrees!
In Europe it is too warm, especially in the polar regions.
The Euro warming is from all those Russian nuclear reactors leaking...

Sluggish and Noisy as fuck,,,, stick shift with a pathetic, outdated 5 speed would not make it any much better, but I will go for it if the other choice is the Unrefined CVT...
