Sometimes, you just vibe with a boss. I never had trouble with flesh prison or panopticon, but struggled a lot with sisyphus initially. I also find gabriel 2 easier to fight. I guess the spinning sword attack makes it easier for me to estimate distance compared to a single color weapon, so I pretty much never miss a parry vs gabe 2. So yeah, don't sweat it! Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses.
This was a huge help for me back last January when I finally did my P-2 P-Rank on Violent. I am now back here because Sisyphus is now kicking my ass even harder on brutal
I haven't had the time to P-rank everything yet, unfortunately. I only played the campaign twice on brutal, and I only need P-2 now. I tried fighting sisyphus in the sandbox 1v1. I can take him 90% of the time now. All I gotta do is get some time for one more go at it. I recommend you try fighting him in sandbox, too. Way less pressure, which will let you focus less on not fucking up, and focus more and downloading his updated moves.
The Panopticon is so weird. Despite having more difficult attacks and quirks from Flesh Prison, you hardly fight it at all, since as you said, the first time it tries to heal, Sissyphus just breaks out and kills it.
Also if you are feeling ballsy, you can fit a railcoin in “be gone” and the 3rd hit of “you can’t escape”. It is kinda meaningless since you can’t coinadd, but i’ll be damned if it isn’t stylish as hell!

I cant get the parry timing for Sisyphus' down. And also Sisyphus prime just feels impossible to me because i literally cant see what attack hes doing most of the time his big body covers the entire screen constantly
Try playing with major assists for a while (50% speed). If you're learning him at full speed, most of his attacks feel so fast that you can't process them (or even remember what each attack looks like). Once you get good at 50% speed, try again at full speed and you'll see that you can suddenly understand every attack, you'll just need to become a bit faster, but you won't feel so confused and overwhelmed anymore. As someone who’s seen balance discussions online, what is your stance on deadcoining? Is it way too OP on dealing a hell ton of DMG without even giving the enemies a chance? Should it be nerfed to the ground since it came as an alternative from a previous coin-chaining tech which can instakill the corpse of Minos with a single coin by just punching it to the wall? Or is it fine to leave it untouched in the game for years of updates to come?
I think deadcoining should (and will) stay. To pull of a successful deadcoin oneshot, you need a lot of setup, and a lot of time, but most importantly, you need a lot of skill to pull it off consistently. It's easy to deadcoin with 4 coins, but it's really hard to maintain a deadcoin chain during the entire cutscene + maintain a saw trap, too. However, I do wish we got at least a few bosses that had some protection against it, because as it stands, most bosses are beaten the exact same way. This is why the evolution of 0-5 speedruns has been more interesting to me, for example. Any boss that has a long cutscene gets instantly deleted with deadcoins in speedruns. While I think the skill involved is really cool, I do wish we had some more variety.
Yes, but the cutscene will still play out normally. The only difference is that you will have more style. You can use cheats to kill it instantly if you want to test it
Give it time. You can use the shortcut to practice the boss easily. I suggest practicing with major assists at 50% speed. It really helped me actually UNDERSTAND what was happening. And maybe take a short break. First time I beat Minos, I didn't P rank him for like 4 months cuz I took a break. Don't stress too much :)
1, 2 coins is much easier. It feels like 1 coin is diff 4/10. 2 coins + coin punch is like 5. 3 coins is a 10. 4 coins is over the maximum hahah I do that because I'm confident with my coins. If that's too tough, try rocket riding to the top and dropping down with 4 coins + slab. But coin, punch, slab is a pretty universal combo that you will start to abuse once you learn it. Addint a rocket, or +1 coin on top is pretty simple once you have the tough part down. If you can't coin punch slabcoin on the ground, I'd recommend learning that first.
this boss just feels like a more unfair minos to me, it has the core idea of mostly just making you learn its patterns but it's not just that the patterns themselves are harder to pull off they're harder to predict and chain together too which i just think is really annoying
I kind of agree... I felt the same way when I first fought him, but over time I grew to enjoy the fight. When I want to have a good time I play p-2 instead of p-1. Even though I think Minos is overall much better (music, design, mechanics, lore...), Tenebre Rosso Sangue + the gauntlet, and then a really fast paced fight feels just right after some practice. You might change your opinion after a while :)
@@Sheba7660 oh i don't doubt that it's a lot more fun once you're accustomed to it but it's just so much harder to even try to get accustomed to it that i don't have fun doing it
I've had it in mind, yes. I want to get good at the new grind, though. The projectile speed is throwing me off so bad. But once I'm back to about where I was (wave 68), I'll consider it. Unless somebody makes one before I do. If there is nothing I can add to the topic, there's no point in rehashing someone else's ideas. Time will tell!
@@GustavWicker Rocket ride good. I do miss having my pc drop down to 30 fps and losing all my muscle memory in an instant. The amount of enemies and projectiles are ridiculous. Kinda scared of radiant enemies at the moment. I might do the entire campaign in radiant mode to relearn everything... Sounds like a good idea
@@GustavWicker I pretty much only go for chargebacks vs maurices and sentries, so the timing screws with me a lot. Sentry is worse because it can hit you mid-air. But maurices can mess you up when rocket riding, too. Everything else is fine
I can't. Been trying my hardest, been trying for days on end. I can't do it. I just can't beat him without dying at least ones. I know bla bla "Loser attitude", but it's so mentally draining and honestly just not fun anymore whatsoever. Some days I'm really good at the game and on other days my arms just feel weird and my aim as all fucked up.
honestly dude the easiest way to get rid of the orbs is to shotgun + knuckleblaster all of them its an instakill still tho i do end up racking 50,000 style points if you also just use knuckleblaster + shotgun on sisyphus at the end i just plop up all my coins and shoot them it gets the job done
It's the easiest, yes, but railing two orbs at once is faster, meaning it's easier to get back your ability to heal before the mortar barrage starts! While it may not be a problem for you, I've seen people do the entire level perfectly, only to take it too slow at panopticon, losing their entire run.
Just good timing. It's the same speed as just spamming right click when standing still. It may just seem faster because of my mouse movement. Just get good at spam clicking, and then try to clean up your inputs until you can only click once for each coin, but as fast as the game allows you to do so. That's it. After that you can add whatever movement or tech you like!
I started playing like 2 years ago and I came back recently to P rank everything. Act 1? EASY. P-1? Childs play. Act 2? Laughable. P-2? I GOT HUMBLED REAL QUICK.
Practice, practice, practice! Ultrakill will nake you much better at all fps games, but you also have to be ready to get wrecked from time to time. I used to have trouble with just a single mindflayer, and had to really take my time to land a railcoin. Now I'm bullying bosses, rocket riding, and performing aerial railcoins! Maybe try watching someone play, or have somebody watch you, so they can help you fix your bad habits. Most importantly, have fun! Why else would you even be playing? Even if you only get 70% as good as you want to be, you still improved a lot, and hopefully enjoyed the process and the reward. Maybe I can help you a bit. What is troubling you in that level? Time, style, kills, particular room or enemy?
@@dantegaming6278 You lose a bit of style every time you get hit. If you take a lot of damage, you'll have trouble getting an S in some levels, even with a high style counter from time to time. Try minimizing damage and further varying your playstyle. Coin punches and ultraricos (coin punch into slab piercer) are great for style, for exanple.
Shotgun parry first, then punch with the feedbacker while the game is still frozen from the shotgun parry. The parries will stack. If you have good timing, sometimes you can even get a projectile boost for extra damage!
Sisyphus beating your ass has the same energy as a good potemkin player to me. All he's missing is a buster move. Plus, both Sisyphus and Potemkin are BIG BOYS
Honestly there are some parts of sysiphus that are just poorly designed. And strangely enough all of his attacks are fine in my opinion, my problem is that hes yellow. I gotta b rank but we getting there Fr
To be honest very cool vide, but this scream at the end of your P-rank caught me like a jumpscare
I lovered the volume, too 😅
It was my older mic, so it was really trash. Got a new one during the making of this video, so most of my future clips and all of my post production will have high audio quality 👌
edit: thanks for watching the entire thing! Keeps me motivated to stop rushing my videos towards the end.
i followed the tutorial, did everything it told me to but i just cant. its been like 1000 tries (not kidding). im on brutal too. am i just THIS bad at the game??? btw im just trying to do sisyphus. pls help me out

@@Sheba7660 maybe p-3 will be immune
@@crazybeatrice4555 I hope, because I would love to see some more strat variety
One question can we kill flesh panopticon before Sisyphus burst out of panopticon
Yes, but the cutscene will still play out normally. The only difference is that you will have more style. You can use cheats to kill it instantly if you want to test it
bro's prison.. to hold bro?
I died 167 times on first try of P-2
And I could not beat sisipus - whatever I don't know how to spell him.
I'm in pain.
Don't stress too much :)
its just me or you guys also thing the rocket jump + 3 coins + punch + blue revolver is a almost impossible tech??
1, 2 coins is much easier.
It feels like 1 coin is diff 4/10.
2 coins + coin punch is like 5.
3 coins is a 10.
4 coins is over the maximum hahah
I do that because I'm confident with my coins.
I want you to teach me how to P on Sisyphus 😳
this boss just feels like a more unfair minos to me, it has the core idea of mostly just making you learn its patterns but it's not just that the patterns themselves are harder to pull off they're harder to predict and chain together too which i just think is really annoying
@@Sheba7660 oh i don't doubt that it's a lot more fun once you're accustomed to it but it's just so much harder to even try to get accustomed to it that i don't have fun doing it
At the brutal he just got even worse: i can't even unlock shortcut because it's too hard for me
will you ever make a guide on the updated cyber grind?
I've had it in mind, yes. I want to get good at the new grind, though. The projectile speed is throwing me off so bad. But once I'm back to about where I was (wave 68), I'll consider it. Unless somebody makes one before I do. If there is nothing I can add to the topic, there's no point in rehashing someone else's ideas.
Time will tell!
@@Sheba7660 damn i thought getting to wave 54 was hard
@@GustavWicker Rocket ride good. I do miss having my pc drop down to 30 fps and losing all my muscle memory in an instant. The amount of enemies and projectiles are ridiculous. Kinda scared of radiant enemies at the moment. I might do the entire campaign in radiant mode to relearn everything... Sounds like a good idea
@@Sheba7660 radiant enemies are eh for me unless its a radiant mindflayer or radiant drone
Take a break, and come back later. You'd be surprised how much sleep/some time away helps!
@@Sheba7660 yeah I’ll try. I already got a lot better, I went from cybergrind wave 31 to 42 in one try the other day
@@CaptainChysaholy wow 42
honestly dude the easiest way to get rid of the orbs is to shotgun + knuckleblaster all of them its an instakill
still tho i do end up racking 50,000 style points if you also just use knuckleblaster + shotgun on sisyphus
at the end i just plop up all my coins and shoot them
it gets the job done
shhhhhh i did sisyphus prime without parrying before
It's the easiest, yes, but railing two orbs at once is faster, meaning it's easier to get back your ability to heal before the mortar barrage starts! While it may not be a problem for you, I've seen people do the entire level perfectly, only to take it too slow at panopticon, losing their entire run.
22:50 how do you throw coins so fast?
Just good timing. It's the same speed as just spamming right click when standing still. It may just seem faster because of my mouse movement. Just get good at spam clicking, and then try to clean up your inputs until you can only click once for each coin, but as fast as the game allows you to do so. That's it.
After that you can add whatever movement or tech you like!
@@Sheba7660 oh, ok. Thanks bud

We all had this experience, I'd say
man I cant P rank belly of the beast :(
Practice, practice, practice!
@@Sheba7660 I only suffer at the style points like 17.5k aint enough? 2 ultrakills aint enough?
@@dantegaming6278 You lose a bit of style every time you get hit. If you take a lot of damage, you'll have trouble getting an S in some levels, even with a high style counter from time to time. Try minimizing damage and further varying your playstyle. Coin punches and ultraricos (coin punch into slab piercer) are great for style, for exanple.

How do you double parry?
Shotgun parry first, then punch with the feedbacker while the game is still frozen from the shotgun parry.
The parries will stack.
If you have good timing, sometimes you can even get a projectile boost for extra damage!
why is the thumbnail potemkin?

Honestly there are some parts of sysiphus that are just poorly designed. And strangely enough all of his attacks are fine in my opinion, my problem is that hes yellow. Seriously why would you make the parry focused boss the same fucking colour as the parry effect? Plus all of his attacks have absurd amounts of particle effects making the parry window even harder to see.
