Imagine how infuriating it would be from their perspective. Fighting an enemy that heals themselves when they attack you, and heal to full if they parry you, moves around like crazy, and has a bunch of different weapons.
Yeah I always thought that players in most games are both kind of silly but also absolute annoyances. They jump around at high speeds, shoot with various weapons, and keep healing.

Given that they stripped His light from Gabriel as punishment for losing to it, it's likely they have no idea of what V1 is capable of, nor would they listen if Gabriel were to explain it to them. You're a mere machine. How powerful could you really be, especially in the eyes of Angels?
Though, interesting to note: V1's the first time they'd have to fight something of that level. With all 3 Prime Souls, they had sealed them before (or during, in Sisyphus's case) their transformations, so they never got to see just how easily they could wipe them out, though the very fact they fear them means they at least know that even the weakest of Prime Souls could slaughter them all.
I mean, even if so, we aren’t gonna be going to heaven any. We’re descending in the deeper layers. Plus, gabriel showed the masses of heaven the council’s death, so they’re most likely distraught, with even the possibility of a few going down into hell to cleanse it themselves. There’s no idea what’ll happen.
It really does show up onto the reasons that Minos is easier. His attacks have less reach, they're less frequent, and throughout the entire engagement he keeps a parryable attacks which now gives you not only full health but full stamina
