Courtenay is as good as it gets. I love the shake! WD-40 never ceases to amaze. 🤭
Even cleaning your rig post-ride its still a pre-ride cleaning.
Hey can I use it clean the wire or cycle breacks , gear shifters chain please give me answer 🙏🙏🙏
After using this product do I need to lubricate the chain or does this clean and lubricate doesn't say anything about that on the can.
works and looks wonderful
it seems you dont have to rince it with water
Okay to spray it on the frame too?
How often should i do this?
I would run it through the gears to clean all the sprockets
IF you are going to do this at least put your chain in the smallest cog as far away from the brakes as possible, it would be better to spray the Chainring, or take the chain off better yet. Spraying that could get degreaser on the brake pads or some of the lube from the chain...
Clean already clean only the cassette needs to be clean
there two, the just degreaser and the cleaner and degreaser, whats the difference between them two ????? somebody helppp meeeee pleaseeeeeee
Classic: How To Ruin Your Bike 101...Never spray or apply any type of degreaser or solvent directly on your bike. Why? Because it dribbles off your cassette and into your free-body bearings, rear hub bearings, also off your front chain rings down the spider and into your bottom bracket bearings. Solvents and degreasers have a very high capillary action and will easily go thru any bearing seal. When that happens it will wash away the tiny film of grease between the ball bearings and the raises causing them to ride metal to metal. In no time your rear hub and BB will be making loud noises and rust will start to develop inside the sealed bearings. I see this all the time at my shop where riders get their brand new high end bikes and see ads like this wanting to keep their bike clean, and in less then 2 months their new bikes have over $200 ~ $400 usd dollars of bearing damage. If they are Ceramic double or triple the price!!! I'm sure the WD-40 products work well, but you need to remove the cassette, chain & C-rings off your bike and then clean them to your heart's content.
however, not everyone has ability to remove chain, especially casette, to clean them. and some people only have a couple hundred dollar bike. what's the best way for them to practice drivetrain cleaning?
If your bearings are getting destroyed because drops of degreaser are dropping from the cassette, then you have a different problem to care about. Your seals are terrible. I know so many riders who have been degreasing for over a year with no problem!
Will this product contaminate brake rotors/pads if it over sprays on to them?
You must not let degreasers touch your brake pads. The oils/solvents in them can seep into the pads and ruin them. Once you let them come into contact, those pads are good as replaced. So don't.
konaman23 no because it is a desolvent not a lubricant
konaman23 then you spay it down with clean water
Yes
Cypherix
i use it often to lube my girl-friend's ! it works wonders .
I would clean any debris using a brush. This WD-40 commercial is lacking the info needed to clean your chain.
people really its a chain regular wd40 is fine to clean wipe dry apply what ever makes your brain happy
does the industrial strength degreaser work the same? I don't have access to the bike version of wd40 where I live
Corey Conachan well, You also can use normal version of wd-40 for degreasing
Corey Conachan gasoline , petrol , luminous petrol , Diesel , fuel-oil , ,,,, at hand-reach in any shop near by you ,,, effective ,,, less dangerous for the. Bearings ( skip the gasoline ) and much cheaper ! Ask your local clockwork man.
@@lucaskim8500 no u cant, it is a lubricant
Nice guns.
I use it on everything. Brakes, saddle, hand grips, pedals. Fuck it.
How is this any different from the normal WD40?
It’s a foaming degreaser not a lubricant. It removes grime and doesn’t lube
R.I.P brakes
I was thinking the same thing. Those brakes are contaminated as all hell now!

Washing:
To clean my bike all over can i use:
a. WD-40 Bike Wash?
b. Dish soap in bucket of water?
c. Simply Green diluted in water?
I have Shimano RS81 Alloy Carbon Clinchers C35 wheel set and I believe both front & rear hubs are sealed; so will that prevent water & soap from harming the bearings in the hub during washing wheels with any of the three items above?
Lube:
Can use WD-40 All Condition Bike Lube to lube chain & brake calipers?
its good
S G ... the bike : dish soap ( b )
... the drive-train : petrol , fuel-oil , gasoline ,querosen , ( maybe acetone , or toluen ,,, if you know exactlly how dangerous they may be to the bearings ) ,,, then water and dish-soap , dry with a rag ,,, and chain-lub immidiatelly [ before rust start doing its dirty work ] .
You had better wash your tires off with soap and water since solvents will destroy them, Yes?
You could use normal WD40 or brake cleaner.
Just cover your rotor from the disc brake, or you're wasting a lot of time getting those brake pads clean again.
so you're saying getting brake cleaner on your brakes makes them dirty? Degreaser is not harmful to your brakes. Grease is the culprit. That's why if you touch your rotors with your hands and get grease on them it's a good idea to clean them off with some brake cleaner/degreaser. A little overspray of degreaser shouldn't cause any harm. What you don't want is any chain lube getting on your brake components. That can ruin rotors and pads.
Daniel Brown
No, I‘m not saying brake cleaner makes the brakes dirty, but spraying brake cleaner on your dirty chain will throw some dirt from your chain onto your discs, since there‘s a lot of pressure in those cans.
All I‘m saying is, be careful, don‘t waste time and cover up your discs with something.
Doesn‘t take too much time and is worth it.
Marc28031984, gotcha.
Is this stuff biodegradable or is it the usual petroleum-based polluting stuff?
Norman1951 Norman who cares you libtard fruit. Weirdo.
Whidbey Hiker shut the fuck up with your biodegradable bullshit. That’s not going to stop the millions of other people using other stuff dummy
Can you use a normal wd 40
Yes, you can. Just spray it on, let it sit for about 10 minutes, then wrap a towel around the chain on the bottom and rotate the cranks backwards like she did. You can also pinch the pulleys with the towel to help wipe off the excess WD40 so it won't collect as much grime.
Well it doesn't work so well
Yes, I do it all the time.
can a normal WD 40 will work the same?
It's a controversial topic, but yes you can use it ONLY TO DEGREASE (Cannot stress that enough). After that, clean the chain thoroughly and then use a chain lubricant - a drop on EACH link, all the way
Cypherix
Can use WD40 All Condition Lube for chain?
Can use dish soap in bucket of water to clean all of bike?
Can use Simple Green diluted to clean all of bike...
I believe my Shimano RS81 ALLOW / Carbon Clincher C35s have sealed hubs front and rear, so can I rise bike with water hose ( not spray ) and dry bike off with towel then lube chain with WD40 All Condition Chain Lube as well as Break Calibers?
S G not breaks of any sort ! 97° pharmacy alcoohol : O.K. !
It is wd40.....just a lil marketing
John ivan Hurboda hell no lol
She just degreased the rear rim bearings and rear derailleur parts.
I would like to hear from a bike enthusiast than a wd40 employee that doesn't know about biking
The description quite literally says that she’s a bike racer. just say you hate women
@@atom6952 she doesn't know what she's talking about. how would you hate woman I love woman and I want to fuck them
First of all, the bicycle chain should be rinsed out in petrol and then hanged on the hook and in the top place a few drops of oil so that over the night dripping filled all the connections from top to bottom. And this is the right therapy, not some WD40 shit advertising. The mechanics are a little please to learn.
i thought: they chose a cute woman to present the product. then i saw her arms...
ontopic: im using regular wd40 for cheaning rear cassette and chain. its easyer because i can find it at many stores and does not need to pay extra for transport.
Her arms are like that because she rides bikes. I get arms like that too if I ride a lot. I loose that muscle mass once I stop riding for a long time.
@@jeffhayes2288 i thought they chose her only cause she is cute. But she is a cute pro, thats what i meant.
Take the cap off.
and she just sprayed the disc rotor. Good job honey. You just showed us that you have never done this before.
spr cmd and there is like 10 cm. Between the rotor and the chain. Even the wind of a room will make the smallest particals of the oil to fly and stick to it.
No eyes are needed here. But experience is needed THERE sweety, once you ride and clean a bike you'll understand what the big guys are talking here.
DRNeKky do you know how I should put on degreaser? So it doesn’t touch my disc brakes? I have a chain cleaner, but my degreaser is foam, so I can’t put it in the cleaner. Any tips?
Best Day Ever #Spongebob Square pants
When I'm using anything is spray or foam ( that goes on the chain ) I use a cardboard as a shield. Use a big old shipping box. Now cut a small whole on it so it can go between the wheel and the disc rotor and will fit just snug enough on the wheel hub. And now when you spray you will be amazed how much that thing catches.
But your question was a bit hard to understand. So if you want maybe try to explain it to me a bit better. But all an all if it's a small and simple problem most of the time the solution is simple as well.
DRNeKky honestly. I just went for it lol. I did it and I made sure I didn't get any on the disc rotors. But just in case I used alcohol pads and wiped the disc rotors etc.. but thanks
Best Day Ever #Spongebob Square pants that's it. Good job. Honestly if you just cover it a bit, and shield it and not going over board with the product, or not touching it with your fingers you are good to go.
I wonder if the "acting" was so bad to promote sharing on social media...
IMO is not good
Waste not your time : Acetone do the trick 3 Times better . Sheers from Geneva ( the French side of Switzerland !
Grease and grime....... mmmmmmmmm
she's cute
Lasting not lasteen
Foaming not foameen
Dripping not drippeen
George Canvin, Jr. Stop hateen
Amogh S BAAAAHAHAHA! How could I hate something that makes me laugh so much?
More like how to ruin your disk rotor 101
more like how to get a massive hard on in 2 minutes 28 seconds
You're telling us to take the damn cap off the degreaser. Explain why you deemed that necessary to tell a group of adults to do so! I'm all ears!!!
this video was good till she said derailleur wrong
snackysnacks actually both pronunciations are correct. Similar to how Aluminium is pronounced differently in North America than it is in the UK.
Joe Amiro Too right.
snackysnacks it's a French model . The ladie speaks English ; has no obligation to be ( french ) dictionaryzised to meet your nazi grammar !
Wd40 дорогая и ни чем не отличается от более недорогих аналогов.
И wd40 хлам.
Oh brother! Another commercial
No shit, Sherlock. This channel literally WD-40 BIKE. What do you think they sell?
This is a terrible way to main the drivetrain. She got the cleaner all over the bike's rim and tires. And for many people this could cause the brakes to squeal if they are using caliper brakes. Ms. McFadden's bike has disc brakes. This product could be profitably used in a Park chain cleaning tool rather than spraying higglety pigglety all over the place. THEN . . . if a proper chain lubricant is used, then (assuming road use) it wouldn't be necessary to clean the chain for a LONG time.
Of course the best way to clean the drivetrain is to remove the dirty components from the bike. It's not difficult and the results are worth the extra time.
Phil Houck it's difficult to remove the drive-thing ! No tools , no know-how , no working condition's ,, et al,,, et al ,,, et al ,,,
Oh she did that? Thanks for letting us know. I was too busy staring at the company's selling visual. WD-40 almost got me running out the door to buy that stuff. I will rewatch the video and look for what your mentioning.
My apologies for being so negative, but applying WD 40 directly on the chain and cassette while attached to the bike is to perfect method to ruin your freebody and hub bearings. I can assure anyone that if you follow these directions/cleaning advise in about a month your hub and free wheel will be making all kinds of crunching and nasty noises, that will need a lot of expensive bearing repair, and possibly a new cassette free body.
DON'T FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS! If you do, remove the chain, and cassette cogs off your bike and wheel and then spray them with WD 40 and then clean them.
Dan Sotelo it’s. A different product it’s the bike line
Not true at all braddah. I have been using nothing but WD40 on my chain and it still works as well after 11,000km as it did on day one.
