No development of words… ditto “mean nothing”.. stuttering .
It seems like this is the first time he is acknowledging there is a disconnect. To be honest, it sounds like he is trying to find answers and maybe coming out of the darkness he was in? $10 million aside, he is a human and we all have moments, days, weeks, months. There is no statistic to say how teams and coaches have handled what he and this program went through. Just sucks that we are all here to watch this dark period.
I’m tired of hearing the cliche speeches from him that result in no improvements on gameday. We’ve heard the recycled phrases a million times in between the speech impediment filled responses.
I think Ira’s piece was spot on. He talks about players responding. It is time to see how Norvell responds

I guess I may be in the minority but I do believe the team is very close. One thing I do really like is regardless of the pressure coming from the talking heads, Mike is following his core belief. This is what transformed the team into winning nineteen straight and I firmly believe it is not only a solid message but a winning position in life. I know it has been tough but so it life. These are some of our tests as well. Go Noles! Disregard the noise and be your best every moment.

Negativity does absolutely nothing to help. Yeah, I'm pissed. I am shocked by some of Mike's moves and do not agree with them.
This doesn't mean I'm ready to put him in front of the firing line. Nor am looking for the closest cliff to jump off.
As a 42 year long fan and 20 year investor into the program, I'm far from ready to liquidate my assets.
Most "fans" on here probably would have sold their Amazon, Apple, and/or Berkshire stock at the first sign of loss 😂
He was ahead of schedule winning all 12 games last year.. we don’t have depth from recruiting and that has to get way better.
I do believe his coaching staff except for one or two is not at the power 5 level.. no development or recruiting
I agree I’m in my 20s and consider Mike a role model and look up to him. But I wouldn’t say we’re “close” to anything. The offense is bottom 3 and the mistakes look like 2018. You could argue Taggart was never this bad. Just my opinion. I love MN

Mike isn’t as good of play caller as he thinks. Last year talent made plays and covered up lackluster coaching. I think the best we played was end of 22, caught ppl off guard. And then there’s the recruiting issue….I miss Bobby B

Oline not blocking for a run game RBs fumbling.. getting no pressure consistently. Lbs in wrong gaps. OK wait all those things are part of stats.....so yea I'm done not here for arguments just commenting what I see.

Mike made a serious mistake using Portal to replace players that have worked hard for a position. I can see using the portal to fill empty slots and providing depth, but not to push players like Brock, Luke, and Trevor out. Brock did his time, he deserves a chance. But more importantly Norvell has stepped on a FSU generational culture where Mom’s and Dad’s groom there son’s to play for FSU only to step on them by using the Portal all in the name of winning now instead of building a lasting program.
Once a NOLE always a NOLE!..yes im extremely disappointed in the season..not all the bleam goes to coach..since hes been here eaxh season was a little better then the last. Now this season idk whats going on but ive watch the games, the players dont want it and this will happen with the portal, thise players are not buying into the culture. Theres a reason why they were in the portal in thw first place. So you come to a good program and get smacked with adversity..hate to say it but those players arw done, dont care hit the portal again. Now were 1-5..coach its time to put in the all the recruits we brought in (not the portal players) but the ones who committed to us and chose us above other schools..lets get these players developed for next season..forget about this and lets excute for next season...and as Noles gans have aeen lately were actually getting great recruits cause they see a need at fsu and want to turn the program around...but yes i do agree that Norvel needs to make some changes...norvel is still our guy and i know yall gonna hate that..but he has improved each yr until this yr..

Purdue fired their offense coordinator so maybe Mike needs to fire one soon and the back-to-back qb power play was stupid. I think you always put the wrong guys to execute plays. The quick slants rpo was working. Why did Atkins out in Byers when Erarly was playing better. Hey Mike man up and clean house if you want a job.

Mike calls the plays. Not Atkins. He is not going to fire himself.
Also, as someone who actually helps pay Mike's salary, however small that may be, I can assure you his job is secure for the foreseeable future. At least through 2026.

Tired of hearing the same thing after every game and Monday and of the media throwing softball questions at him. At least the 2nd to last question asked him about giving 400+ yards offense the last 2 games. How about "Hey Mike, we talk a LOT about preparation, but it's become very evident that these guys are not prepared to play come game time. What is your plan to change that?"

Hearing Corey and Aslan on Wake Up Warchant today, SMU's players are smaller and lighter yet were able to push us around, showing we're soft and earning the pejorative: cinnamon rolls. Very disappointing.
He’s done end of next year. No control over his souless “team”. Questionable play calling to put it mildly. Unwilling to change. Recruiting going down the drain. Laughing stock of the NCAA. Multi year rebuild inbound
I have talked a lot of crap to other fan bases before this season started. Us as Noles fans was sold a lie. This team is not “stronger”, “faster” than last year. And that’s okay. But why tell us that? That’s why we’re so upset. They could’ve been honest from beginning then it wouldn’t have been so disappointing. Everybody needs to take accountability. Players are lazy with no passion. Coaches need to do more. Simple. After this season is over idc who leaves because nobody has shown any passion anyways.

Our coach has turned into a used car salesman, I knew last year we were in trouble when we never blew a team out and he would say ( we get every one’s best )

I think his answers are all about mindset because that’s the main problem with the team. Most of them have proven to be skilled or at least more skilled than this, it comes down to mental errors and shortcomings.

For his sake I hope he finds some improvement. He really needs to look at player development and why it isn’t happening. Finding Supportive coaching choices to help him in that goal and recruiting. Hope they make something of this year to provide some anticipation for next year. He also needs to look at his own coaching choices/decisions. Because the kitchen is about get HOT and I think a lot of people want him to be successful. Hang in there coach!
The thing about is that good teams find a way to win and always fight hard to the end, look at UGA being down by 4 TD after the 1st quarter and fought all the way to the end. You mean to tell me a face mask call is all it took for this team to crumble? What a soft crumble cookie team we are this year…..

Mike believes in his players but what’s likely underneath the belief is an unwillingness to admit (publicly )that this team is just not skilled enough. It’s the only rational conclusion.

We wanted Taggart gone and we ended up with an even worse version of Taggart. This season is a wash and I’m looking forward to next season. I say give the young guys more reps. If the result of playing the younger guys will be the same result as playing the upperclassmen then why not?

Benching DJ for who? Surely not Brock. Luke is a true freshman. Until the O-line blocks and players catch the f'n ball, it doesn't matter who he trots out there at QB.
@@noletroll True! But at this point, the DJ experiment is a wrap. Why not give the pups some live reps. Plus, let’s not down play how important the QB position is for offensive rhythm and efficiency. Brock can scramble out of some of those missed assignments across the o-line. I don’t think we have this many drops if we are in rhythm.

These are paid athletes. They have been “supported” beyond belief. For example, DJU is a 23 year old paid QB who can’t hold a job and doesn’t perform well at it. He, along with all the others including the coaches, are open to be criticized based of performance, poor decision making, lack of effort, etc.
@rumorinnuendo4503 I'm not denying that but some of these comments have just been harsh like we just want instant success but now there is a bigger prob these starters and some coaches are mental broken combine that with a qb like dj and it's why we have what we see on the field now. I believe this is not the product that should be on the field with what norvell can bring. If we just keep telling them they are garbage how are they ever going to break that mental hold on them? It's up to them I know but i don't see why we can't throw some love and support their way instead
