A very easy site to get to for Dallasite 15 minutes outside of Courtenay, British Columbia. The trail follows the creek, there are a few access points that look very sketchy as you walk along the trail. Pass by them until you get to the easy access spots. If you get to an area where the trail has a steep incline upwards, that's the second spot and there's no need to go up that steep incline (Its about 7 min walk from the parking).

I found some Dallasite on the north island on the flank of a volcano, bottom of creek. Maybe from the fracture zone. Looks rounded though so more likely brought northward by Bonanza volcanics and short burst glaciation, we'll see. Still, at least we can find some up here after all. Found some flowerstone and some metamorphic looks like jasper too so keeping an eye out.

Jade is common enough in certain areas but it’s the good stuff people are looking for. Dallasite is not uncommon on the island but the premium pieces are and those are the ones that hold value

Ya okay, I'll give you that one :) that's definitely a fair statement... however 90 percent of people finding dallasite don't realize there are differences in quality.

Interesting how you tell how easy it is to access the river, but don't say what river!! Looks like the Brown's river. Dalasite is really common, so much so it almost becomes boring. As is epidote. Quartz with epidote inclusions can be really neat, like picture stone. And yes it does occur in crystal formation, very rare!! picked one up at Point Holmes, beautiful specimen, 2 cabs of sparkley green stone. And have seen it from the Buttle Lake area really cool quartz with epidote flowers. Exceptional!!!
