I was at this show - it was while we were showing our tickets to the attendant to get in that we found out MJ had passed away. When New Kids did this . . . there wasn't a dry eye in the house. It was an amazing tribute considering it was pulled together so quickly. To add to it, this was also on my birthday.

Watching in 2021, still in disbelief at how Michael Jackson died. And I am also in disbelief at the fact that it happened nearly 12 years ago! It doesn't feel like it's been that long. Say what you will about him, he was one of the greatest musicians and entertainers the world has ever known. And Donnie was right when he said "If there was no Mike, there would be no us." He inspired so many musicians and groups, and I hope his legacy will continue long into the future.

What Donnie said about there being no NKOTB without Michael & the Jackson 5 is SOOOO True! Michael was a big influence in the music scene when the guys were growning up. RIP Michael.
I am 54 years old and had MJ for 40 years...I totally understand what you mean...and I have cried every day...I can't believe I would ever feel this way about someone famous, but I am truly heartbroken still...it was just such a senseless tragic ending to the brightest star that ever lived.

I love this tribute to my childhood crush! Michael was my first love, and he always will be! When I meet the New Kids again someday, I'm going to tell them about Michael being my first musical love. I know he is smiling down on the five of them and that he was smiling when I met the new kids at the Delaware State Fair way back in 2015. When I was listening to Joey McIntyre sing, when he was little, he sounded just like Michael in my opinion. I always wondered what would have happened if Joey and Michael did a duet of "I Remember When," or "Please Don't Go Girl." That would have been fun to hear! I miss these five and it's been a while since I've seen them, and danced with them on stage! I hope I get to see them again real soon!
