KEN LASZLO Hey Hey Guy Aussie DJ Remix

I did a bit of editing and added a stronger drum beat and put a small sample of Everybody dance by Ken Laszlo into it , I took out the second phone dialling and replaced that with the sample, added some percussion and effects. It was tricky as the drum beat seemed to sound like a double hit so it had to be very precise with the added drum, took alot of warping.

So here I am having stumbled on Aussie DJ’s mixes. I’ve commented on the “other” posts YT took me to, so now it’s time to check out the real channel.
I genuinely feel the mixes I’ve heard so far really honour the original tracks without feeling the need to completely reengineer the tracks components. In fact the new fx tend to be tweaks from the original elements for the main. In this track there’s a delicious “new” vocal requesting that “everybody dance”. Well, consider that request granted as this mix will have everyone who remembers the track (& maybe some new fans) shaking their booty. Great job.

That was the mid 80's...when Italo disco discovered sequencers, Bobby O and gay oriented lyrics at least in this song and that telephone call, 😅
This is a good remix overall 👍 longer than the original 12"
more drum beat and a better intro and outro.
To cut off the 2nd phone call was a good idea, it didn't add much to the song, the lyrics were clear enough even if only a few noticed back then on the dancefloor.
