Aussie DJ Remixes

Was a DJ In Sydney back in the 80s and early 90s. Always had a love of music and remixes, Hope you enjoy what I do.
19/11/2023..................... I have to be away from my computer for a period of time and can not work on any tracks I have been doing. Unfortunately on the 10th of November just gone I suffered a heart attack and was in hospital, I am now home but still slightly unwell, it will take time to heal and when I am up to it I will continue to post, hopefully not too long, thankyou for all your support..... MARIANNA - Just One More Touch (Aussie DJ Remix)
I used the Original Paul Parker version and the Marianna version to put the track together. I focused on taking the music out of the Paul Parker version and not so much the vocal, I did add Paul Parker here and there in the track but as a backing vocal.

I edited the song down and added some instrumental, I took out parts that I wasn't keen on and gave it a different ending. I added more percussion and effects, I did not run an extra beat over it, it is at it's original.

Have forever liked this song but was not keen on the guitar break. I went in and completley removed the guitar break and have done a alternative edit of the song. I have no added anything to the song, only an edit.

This was a bit tough as the song does not vary much and trying to come up with something that would chamge it from the original. I did some editing and added effects and percussion, I created a break in the middle and the song is longer than the original.

I put this together useing three versions and taking out the parts I liked in each version and editing them together to make the track, I also used the chorus from the video clip and took out the vocals to use as an instrumental part. I had to take down the previous upload because the shaker was not running in time with the song and so I fixed it and have reuploaded it again. I did a re-edit of the song from the copy I found and have added some effects and drums in places and a little bit of percussion.

I had to take down the previous upload after listening to it, there were some sounds I did not recognise coming through but have fixed it.This is a re-edit of the Tom Moulton mix that I have extended by creating a break and changing the original break slighty and extending the middle. I added some midi instruments in and some effect. The song is from 1973

I had been working on this for awhile and this is about the best I can do with it. I created towards the end a version that I have not heard myself anywhere. I slowed down the track, not sure if you can notice it. I ran a drum beat through the song and added percussion and instruments and added effects.

This is a mix I put together in 2022. It only contains four songs that I edited together and not mixed, I used scratching samples etc and effects to go to the next song. This is a re upload of this song I did about 6 years ago. I went back to it and added some effects to the begining and changed it slightly. The track has a sample of Frankie Goes to Hollywood that I put into the song.

I used a few versions of Mighty Real to make the track. I used a portion of the Funky Beat Addiction TV mix as the main track. I took out bits and pieces from various versions and put a few samples of other Sylvester tracks in the middle. Added some effects and percussion.

I did a bit of editing and added a stronger drum beat and put a small sample of Everybody dance by Ken Laszlo into it , I took out the second phone dialling and replaced that with the sample, added some percussion and effects. It was tricky as the drum beat seemed to sound like a double hit so it had to be very precise with the added drum, took alot of warping.

The 12" Single fell short of five minutes so I extended it a little to bring it to 5 1/2 minutes by adding an intro beat and a small part in the song, I added some echo to the voice in two places and added a vocal part in. This is a re-edit I did of the Promo version. I added some effects and drums and increased the BPM to 132. Made in my spare room on my humble computer in a small rural town west of Sydney with no fancy recording equipment and mixing consoles and multi tracks or stems, just straight over the top of the record. It's not perfect but I try my best on all the tracks I do.

G'day Marc.... thankyou for your comment. I hadn't heard the Paul Parker version before until a week ago, he's singing with Marianna, but the music is a little different. He wrote the song as did he write Lisa's Doin' It which I suspect that Marianna and Lisa are the same person. I bought the 12" Single of Just One Mor Touch all them years ago and still have it. I liked the music of his version and so I wanted to add some parts of it into Mariannas version and I wanted to hear him singing but just here and there and not loudly so I just stripped the vocal of his version and added it and to compliment Mariannas version and make it a bit more gutsy. It's a great song, I like her voice. Paul Parker has written some good songs. Hope you are well!

I was only going to do an edit to cut some of it out but this was the end result. I haven't been at the computer much at all lately, had to have an op on my left eye so the vision was poor to see the screen but it's better now so I'll get back into it. The song reminded me a little of Amante.
