Genuine question: I live in england and I have never seen boxes with the measured ingredients for a cake in, so for me this is eye opening haha. Do people in the US usually do this or do they bake from scratch most of the time? I loved this vid the cake turned out great :))
They do sometimes have them in the baking isle in the supermarkets, but the UK supermarkets prioritize their own fresh bakery products, so they are limited items.
I think people in the US really just like convenient things lol, its easier to just buy the cake mix box and add only milk and eggs or sometimes just water & bake. But I think it also really depends on the person. Poeple who love to bake and know abt it definitely bake from scratch but everyone else I think if they were to bake a cake with little to no knowledge would buy the cake boxes. Most stores have like half alise full of baking stuff where you find cake boxes of different flavors plus cookies, pies, cupcakes, etc. The most popular is the Betty Crocker brand
It varies from person, cake and recipe usually! If it’s a regular bundt/pound cake then my mom can make one just by eyeballing it, no recipe needed! But if she wanted to make a basic lemon cake it’d be easier to get the box kind and follow the directions! A lot of times it primarily depends on convenience and if the person likes the process of baking!
Just call the person on the phone at that point. I didn't know people actually sent audio clips as messages. That's so annoying and weird. Either text or call them.
