Ok, when are Kings going to commission something directly from Jacob?
I'm sure he'd write something fantastic.
This is just beautiful ❤️
nice
קסם !!!
Oh shoot, a King's Singers cover of Jacob Collier arrangements? This is gonna be amazing
That's what I was thinking too haha, and I wasn't disappointed!
I loooove the part where Eddie is singing the lead melody. His counter tenor sound is so warm. Pat has a more angelic softness, Eddie has a little more eartlhiness. I'd love to hear more songs with Eddie on the lead!!
Generally this is an amazing piece, so versatile, soft and still surprising. Great job Pat on arranging :)
That is a great description! Yes! It feels the same to me. Pat and Eddie singing together remind me of an transcendent being of light talking from afar to an innocent and trusting little boy.
In the real early morning
With the sun slowly rising
I was walking out slowly
Wandering free
When out in the distance
Over the valley
I saw and old friend
Waiting for me
Waiting for me
She was a young girl
She was an old soul
As fair as the ocean
Timeless and free
She was my mother
She was my daughter
She was my lover
She was everything
An old friend could be
I said it's been such a long time
Since we have spoken
There's so much to say to you
I want you to know
Wish you could tell me
All that you've seen here
But we haven't got long now
For soon you'll be fading
And soon I must go
She said you are a soldier
You are a father
You are a wise man
You are a friend
You were my first love
I won't forget you
I'm walking…
Thank you for sharing these lovely lyrics. ♥
Weather Sacred Or Secular, Renaissance Or Modern. Simply The Best Gentlemen..
Danke fuer den tollen Gesang
Hope one day King's Singers can collaborate with Jacob Collier. It will be awesome!!
When I read Kings Singers singing Jacob Collier I liked before even hearing the first note. Incredible Performace!
Two if my favourite artists in one song - I'm really excited for this one.
Très impressionnant, clarté et beauté des voix qui nous transportent loin, si loin... Une fois encore vous êtes merveilleux. Merci pour le partage.
Wow the intricate key changes. Very impressive.
Nice, but nothing comes close to the maestro himself. 🙂
What would it take to get the Kings Singers and Collier with a vocoder on stage at the same time singing this song?
OMGGG!!! Collier and the king singers? Nothing could go wrong! AMAZING
What an honor for Jacob👍🙏
Great arrangement Patrick. Well done.

Jacob has to see this!
I really like your latest peaces where everybody has his part in the spotlite and not only one ore two singing the main parts. 🤗
I just love Julian’s voice ❤️
For real. His tenor voice is amazing! So smooth and beautiful!
Absolutely beautiful. Something about it makes my heart hurt
I keep listening to this. It makes me cry. So beautiful. Thank you.
As always beautiful, please more Jacob Collier and King's Singers, both of you enlighten the world, together it is even better. And the acoustic is much better than in a gym in Farvagny ;-)

So beautiful! I had surgery this morning and this is the best pain-killer. I also listen when I'm well and also love it then. Thanks!

Wow!!
Hi 👋
Wonderful version!
Lovely!!
This version takes Collier´s song to a higher level. Sublime.
H A R M O N Y
Close ;)
👏👏👏
I wonder who did the arrangement...
Patrick Dunachie - it's in the description ...
It is also in the closing credits.
Everyone should cut coolme20ful some slack - he or she is obviously an idiot, and we should be patient with the developmentally disabled.
Description is initially hidden and to my knowledge you cannot easily jump to end credits. This mobile device app UI and UX kind of fails. Asking the question is easier than going through the trouble because there still exist friendly people.
I have some mixed feeling about this cover. As always, I respect and appreciate the artistry.
My critique would mainly be directed at the hard-to-comprehend harmony. Maybe my viewpoint is skewed, having listened to Jacob's own approach and also playing the song my self, but that is what I think regardless.
On a less constructive note: the timbers you are all able to produce with youur voices are simply amazing. Having taken vocal lessons for some time and sung in bands for years, all I can say is wow.
Wether anyone will ever read this or care in the slightest will forever be a mystery, but here this is now anyway.
Early in the morning when I wake up,
early in the morning when I wake up:
I brush my teeth, I eat my bread,
I drink my coffee and I go back to bed.
Chime in if you know it
Chime, chime! By the way, do you know if there's an author to this song? I was looking for it for a while. Is there a good recording anywhere?
@@goldenesei8127 same! more chimers needed :)
I very much like this group, but the composition is typical modern garbage.hree thumbs up for the grup, and one thumbs down for composer Collier. Let's perform pieces from the classical repetroire, fellows... pieces which have stood the test of time !
Disagree. If you can make something so beautiful out of "garbage" why only perform classics? A strong point of the King's Singers is precisely the diversity of their repertoire.
Go listen to your boring old record collection then. People will still compose new music, and you don't have to like it, so please keep your crappy opinions to yourself.
How can pieces stand the test of time when you don‘t perform them in the present?
And btw, I am sure that Jacob‘s compositions will be passed on by generations.
If you think this is garbage, can you tell me what about it is so bad? If your only definition of good pieces is classical music, and modern songs can’t be on the same level, what’s the point of anyone even trying to make something good?
Can you justify your statement using theory beyond it being modern? It's certainly not dumbed down.
Waiting for the test of the time is entirely illogical a critique for new music. How are we to know if it will or will not stand the test of time?
Even so, somehow I think Collier's catalogue will be remembered as he is generally respected as pushing the limits of music theory (and popularising it).
