Just FYI, the band is called Electric Light Orchestra, but they shorten it to E.L.O., so no one pronounces the acronym, they always say E L O.

Now you are getting into the real legendary bands - E.L.O. is the brain child of the singer Jeff Lyne. Their catalogue is huge and full of great songs. Try the live performance at Wembley - "Livin' Thing". 'I Turn to Stone", Telephone Line" - amazing light show and massive crowd. Peace.

@@BimuReacts My favourite band is "YES", a prog band who defined great musicianship and
creative music. Try the studio versions of "Yours is no Disgrace", "Starship Trooper" as a good introduction.

Congratulations! It was only a few years ago that I "discovered" ELO. Turns out I grew up with this music, but it was just great songs on the radio that I never got was from the same band. No others have made me go "What? They made *this* one too?" as many times. Too many hit songs from them to mention.

This song brings back such good memories for me. I was always keen for a song to dance to, and this was it. So many songs from ELO and all so different, but each one unique and unforgettable.

Though 'Last Train to London' may not be one of my favorite ELO songs, it’s a fun, feel-good track that captures the essence of late-70s disco with a playful, almost tongue-in-cheek flair. The song's infectious groove and shimmering strings make it feel like it could underscore a scene from a Will Ferrell comedy set in that era, complete with bell-bottom pants and disco balls. Featured on their hugely successful "Discovery" album (jokingly referred to as "Disco-Very"), the LP marked a distinct shift for ELO, embracing disco much more than in previous albums. This move won over new fans but alienated many longtime followers of their earlier prog-rock roots.

I’m sure you watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2. ELO’s super popular Mr Blue Sky is the song Baby Groot dances to it. Blue Sky has the ELO sound they are better known for. Otherwise, ELO has a long list of hits.

Jeff Lynne is a remarkable talent. On the Zoom album he played all the instruments with a couple of contributions on guitar by George Harrison being the only exceptions to that. You should also check out his side gig with The Traveling Wilburys, they had some talent.

Ringo played drums on two of the album's tracks, *"Moment In Paradise",* and, *"Easy Money".*

I think their music started to suffer with this album. It got to pop oriented, practically anything from all their previous albums is better, but you can still see their virtuosity in this song.

Ages ago you said you liked to see audience involvement, so I suggested watching ELO 'Telephone Line' at Wembley Stadium. Instead, for your first listen to them, you have chosen this rather boring song with no audience.
