Omg Nigel you are a legend. My heart was in my throat watching you up there. Although the view was amazing. How stunning are the Blue Mountains. You guys have showcased our beautiful country with such gusto and enthusiasm. Thank you for taking us on the journey with you. I have enjoyed it immensely. My husband and I are sooo looking forward to visiting these places you have shown us personally . Sharon x
That is one spot I should have visited over my life of walking and caving, I got very close to the area on my #roundAustraliawithSpelio trips. I admire Nigel and so jealous of the bike ride out and "The Jump". Were those your car keys he picked up?? Phew!
Yes that was our keys. Can you imagine if we got back to the van as frozen and saturated as we were and didn't have the keys? I mean, we always kept a spare hidden outside the van, but Nigel would have had to ride back!!
FAR OUT! My toes were clenched watching that! Im terrified of heights. You're a gutsy couple that's for sure! Love watching your travels. Thanks for the hard work you put into your channel 👍🏻
Wow! Seriously I had to close my eyes watching you Nigel even walk down that track never loan take the leap! Far out 😳. Great experiences and something you’ll never forget. Great footage thanks for taking us on journey.
Oh my goodness I felt sick watching the jump and the climb to the edge, so I can only imagine how Sue felt watching you do that Nigel!!! Very fortunate that Guy was there for a bit of a helping hand (young bravado and stability). How amazing that he noticed you dropped your keys (that would have been a long walk back) and that the weather turned so suddenly - thankfully not while you were out on the edge! Such a stunning part of the country. When we lived in Sydney we visited the Blue Mountains area quite a bit, but feel we only scratched the surface of all there is to see.
Way to go Nigel!!! Another top video sharing some of our amazing countryside. I think that you did the sensible thing Sue and stayed behind the camera which gave us some amazing footage. Than k you both for sharing your travels. I am so looking forward to the next episode, not only a Nigel dive, but beautiful surf and beaches. Safe travels to you both. Coen nd Jay xx
I absolutely love the Blue Mountains, such a beautiful part of NSW , I’ve spent many a day there hiking those trails 😊 but there’s no way I’d be brave enough to jump that gap to hanging rock , I felt sick just watching 😆. Great vid , looking forward to the next one 😁
There were many campers stuck on the wrong side of that landslide in Megalong valley that weekend - and there is only one road in - they were stuck for some time. Lucky you weren’t there the day before.
Wow watching Nigel go out on Hanging Rock gave me anxiety. Good on for you having the courage to take in that experience. Me - I would have been safely beside Sue. Glad you are safe ;)
Yeah but Nah!!! I'm very glad you lived to tell the tale at Hanging Rock, but there's no way I'd be doing that, so I'm with you Sue. 😬 Good job Nigel. Some amazing views.
I went to the blue mountains in 2017 ,6 weeks after a knee replacement and went to Wentworth falls. And I,m scared of highs. When I was about 3 years old I remember walking up the 100 steps with my mum.
Hi Nigel and Sue. Wow Nigel you were very brave. I don't think I could have done it. I would have to a pair of beige shorts. It's a definite no from me. I hope you enjoy my neck of the woods. The central coast is beautiful.
Great episode. We are heading up to the Blue Mountains next week. Loved the places you chose to walk as they are on my list. PS first trip with a diesel heater. Oh the luxury!
If you are going up there, make sure you go to THE ANVIL ROCK in the afternoon with the afternoon sun on the sandstone walls. It is awesome. TAKE a moderately thick coat/jacket as it will be cold and windy !
Hi Nigel & Sue, In your intro, can you please explain the different letters you place on the map of Australia showing all the places you have visited? Thank you, David
@@nigelandsueadventures Thank you for that clear explanation. It makes more sense now. 😂 We have followed you from the get-go and are sad you are departing Aus. We do understand the reasons and wish you well in the future. Travel safely. David
@@davidlewinsohn9252 Wow!! not many people have been here since the beginning. Thank you for being such a loyal viewer. We will definitely still be making videos, and having adventures, hope you'll enjoy the next phase of the journey
Not a fan of heights at all, especially walking them! Well done Nigel, you aced it! The bike ride looked strenuous enough without adding the extra exertion of jumping gaps however the footage was simply stunning even though l kept backing away from the screen! 😅
now that i can see it from this perspective this would be so easy. fear is gone. not bragging, just for myself because when i first heard of this and saw a picture i felt so much fear.
Yes they are. I’m blind as a bat!! I’ve had this pair for a few years, they are single vision with transition lenses (clear to sunnies, depending on the light). Pretty sure I got them from spec savers.
hello Nigel & Sue, could I(we) have your potato pizza recipe and method please. What i really want to know is your potato cooked, blanched, or raw when you put it on your pizza base happy holidaying
Hey sorry for the late reply, somehow I missed this comment. The potatoes are best NOT cooked. Slice them very thin, and make sure you drizzle liberally with olive oil right before you throw it in the oven
We’re not going anywhere!! Well, we are leaving Australia for a while, but we will still be exploring the world, just a bit further from home. The weekly videos will continue!!
I know you've probably moved on, but if you get a sunny day (not likely during this week) have a gander at the ANVIL ROCK! I'm just looking more closely at the cliff that Sue is standing on. At 19:20, if you look to Sue's right (our left on screen) you will notice the very highest point of that cliff...THAT is the real hanging rock. If you look halfway between Sue and the point of the cliff you will see a huge crack that goes all the way from the bottom all the way up to the edge of the cliff. It's NOT very wide like the one you jumped over, but that whole cliff corner is ready to fall away given the right downpour, earthquake, or even just age. How far back the crack goes is anyone guess but you can be sure if it's there it goes back some way, so that whole corner will go, probably about the same time the 'Hanging Rock' will go. So keep those photos and come back in a few years so you can compare. This current rain event maybe just the impetus they need to fall away. 😱 Love your channel!
Nope. I'm not fond of heights at all. I'll just enjoy via others LOL. I'm barely able to gather the nerve to get up on my camper roof (4m up a ladder) for cleaning and maintenance. I just hire a guy to get up on the roof of my house. I've never ridden in a helicopter, but have done some training and a solo flight in a fixed wing - that ain't the same somehow. Motorcycles at 250+ kph is fine. Even walked on the glass floor at the CN tower in Toronto (340m to the deck below), with both feet on it and no handrail. I guess I'll never achieve my dream of being a professional roofer or tightrope walker at the circus!
I tied some 550 Paracord to the nearest tree and made the jump whilst hanging onto the cord.
It just gave me the piece of mind I needed.
It's funny how our brains work right?

thanks Jay and Coen, I don't get called "Safety Suzie" for nothing!!
I can't believe Nigel did that jump! I was holding my breath. lol I can say I have jumped Hanging Rock now.
I’m glad I was a long way away. Notice how it’s a bit sketchy and not level on the landing though?

You could spend a month there either all the hikes. We were so bummed the canyon was closed
20 years in RAAF so lots of flying (not a pilot) and it was making me queezie just watching the footage. Hats off to you for getting out there
My heart was in my mouth the whole time!
awesome views
The Blue Mountains are just spectacular. We could spend a month there!
Well done Nigel, not sure we would have done that jump! 😬 I think we’d be with you Sue 😁 Great scenery 🤩
Its so beautiful in the Blue Mountains. Its sad to think that so many visitors to Sydney don't even make it here, when its so close!
There were many campers stuck on the wrong side of that landslide in Megalong valley that weekend - and there is only one road in - they were stuck for some time. Lucky you weren’t there the day before.

I'd be back with you Sue! But stunning views. 😮😊
It was amazing. So beautiful. Such a wonderful country.
Good job seen keys on ground 👍 getting back to van no keys and the rain would have been terrible 🥺

Yeah it’s a good 20+ years since I did that walk and I still remember there being a LOT of stairs!
Wow hanging rock, I got vertigo sitting in my recliner lol😂, great courage, great video.
Thank you so much 🧡🧡

Hi David, they don't mean anything, it was just the quickest way for me to create a graphic showing everywhere we've been (Google Maps)
