- In this episode you'll see the unboxing, assembling, first cook and my thoughts on the new Yoder Smokers Pizza Oven for the YS640 and YS480. Pellet grill pizza will never be the same. The pizzas cooked in this video were an absolute hit in my house.

Rock N Roll!!!!!!!
You already know son!
I wish yoder would make a standalone gas pizza oven and a stand lone gas griddle. I want dedicated, yoder quality variants so bad.
Man a Yoder griddle would be crazy! Let me hit them up!
Awesome video man, really looking forward to seeing where this UA-cam journey takes you! Reach out anytime with questions my dude!
Thank you Darrin! I appreciate it!
Your video inspired me to go ahead and get this attachment for my Yoder. I have never been successful making pizza in the past so I really hope having this will help me achieve my goal. I went ahead and ordered their bundle too. I know that my problem in the past has always been poor technique and trying to rush things along. I'm looking forward to learning about dough and seeing if I can't get a decent product.
Something that would be helpful for me is a video of the process of making the dough, Getting it on and off the spatula and how to deal with stickiness. Seems like a lot of videos skip over the actual part of getting the pizza prepped. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right spots.
I love my Yoder, It was a lot of money and it's not a perfect solution, but I do my best to make it work and so far everybody likes my food. Thanks for the video.
Thank you! Don't worry I got you! The next video is making a very simple dough and sauce that is incredibly good! It should be posted tomorrow! After that I already have a pizza, calzone and stromboli video filmed as well. I've got to get a Christmas ham video and a porkbelly video posted, but the Stromboli video will be right after that. If I can get the calzone video in before the porkbelly video I will, but I think the pork belly video has to be first.
@@BBQIllustrated I went with similar dough recipe off attbbq, only because I had the exact ingredients ordered for my first run today. But I will give this a shot as I get comfortable just working with it. I love that you let your little participate. Good stuff.
Did you see the other video with the sauce and dough? I'll have one more making the pizza, Stromboli and calzone that'll come out this week.
And thank you! She will be a staple in all of these. We have like 5 videos already filmed and she will be in all of them!
That pizza looks amazing!! Can you come to Utah to cook for us!?!
Absolutely! Just lmk the day and I'm there!
Let me get your other pizza oven
You're the cheapest rich person I know!

@@303badassboxer shoot I liked in Jonesboro and College Park cutting off cable son. I know these streets!
nice! these unboxing videos are always fun to watch but it's so helpful to see it in action too
Yeah, that was my goal. I knew it would be a little long, but thought it to be pretty important too.
Hopefully they get better in the future.
The man. The myth. The BBQ legend!! Cant wait to see where this takes you, brother!!
Thanks my friend. 2 more videos shot. Just got to get them edited and up!
damn, I thought I was a yoder fan boi with a 640s and a 48 inch flat top. This is next level. and the pizza oven is WAYYYY smaller than I anticipated.
Haha. Yeah man. I have 5 Yoders. There is a Kingman not in the gazebo.
Yeah buddy, now haul that back to Utah for a parking lot pizza party at Brighton!
Right?! That's exactly what we need man! I'll be back watxh!
Does the Wood Fired Oven give any smoke taste to the pizza (like a brick oven does)?
I mean it is very similar. I used the exact same dough batch, sauce, cheese toppings everything and and cooked them in the Alfa with cherry wood splits and the only difference I could notice was the crispness of the crust was better in the Alfa. Taste was super similar. I will say I believe I could get the crust just as crisp in the Yoder one if I were to have heated it with the door shut.
@@BBQIllustrated The Yoder seems great for most styles of pizza except for Neapolitan style that requires over 800 F. Most of the time, smoke taste is a perception when cooking pizza in just few minutes. It is confused with char flavor.
@@CoolJay77 I've used it to make many Neo pizzas now and if you close the door in between pizzas it makes them beautifully. It will get plenty hot in there. 💯 On about the smoke/char comment.
Yoder or Pitts and Spitts?
For me definitely Yoder. I have 5 of them, so that should tell you where my heart is.
I need to up my Pizza game!
I got you son. Just lmk when you're ready.
Pizza Time!!!
Yes sir! 🍕
Pizza!
I need that @jebtaylorknives pizza cutter son!
Looking good! 🍕🍕
Thank you sir! I'm trying to be like you.
You just remember I was your first sub on here.
@@BBQIllustrated 😆 right on bro, will do!!
Great review and I love your set-up!
Thank you. Hopefully these videos get better and better and we'll get as much of the setup in here as we can through winter, but will definitely hit it hard our there after the thaw. MN is just different. Haha
