I didn't know living in a house with switches and running water was such a big deal until I watched this
I've lived about one quarter of my life as a nomad without regular electricity and running water. Sticks and bricks people taught me that doing without is better than having to live permanently next to people who make problems for you the second they decide you aren't like them. I finally found my real family after 37 years. you don't have to be roma or an Irish traveler to not like how sticks and bricks people make crank calls to CPS, or they keep 140 rescue chihuahuas until the city takes them and then all the fleas and rats cross the street to your house, or they get racist with you, or they want sexual favors and do things to sabotage you when you say no.
I recently over the last year tried to care take for my 95 year old Grandma in her sticks and bricks and I am now a bit sorry I did. It's STILL sticks and bricks against the nomad. Grandma was in no state to drive when I got there last year and i kept her safe though all kinds of crud and no one believes that my presence helped her. They think I caused her deterioration somehow. So I do want to settle down a bit because I am 45, however I need a place where me and the birds will be left alone.

If George wasn’t such a mean mouthed A-hole when he asked for things and spoke to women with respect she might’ve tried. But HELL No would I put up with his attitude. Gypsy or not, he’s a dick. He talks about gorgers not being happy because they live in a “rabbit hutch” and aren’t free, but he’s living in his uncles back garden, racing around and looking very unhappy the entire time. I’ve seen Tony on other episodes and shows, he seems pretty nice and does do a lot for his family and community. I can’t imagine not being able to read in my own home country though, that’s sad. I’ve traveled to many countries and I know the feeling of not being able to read the language, and of course I adapt and learn to get along but it’s definitely different to imagine not being able to read what a recipe says in my own kitchen. I wish he’d learn, but I’m sure he won’t. I know what happens with his relationship so we know that didn’t work out…. 😅I’ve seen Sam and Pat on their wedding episode and it’s good to see they’re still together and act the same and sweet they have a baby. He looks just like her! But I think she romanticized what it would be like and now that reality has set in she seems sad. Not having friends or much to do has to be lonely but she’ll definitely be busy with a baby. Best of luck to them all. ❤

There is good and bad in every race of man !!! The Traveler’s that now and then stay and pass on stole my daughter’s dog off the beach , she is a very we’ll behaved friendly dog, she is a pedigree dog. My daughter managed to find out where they had moved onto. She found her beloved dog in a cage underneath one of their caravans. My daughter telephoned the police before she attempted to rescue her dog which she did.now when they are once again in the area the word gets around quickly!!! I had to collect a friend from a bus station, the car park was overtaken by Travellers I was shocked and saddened to see so many wooden crates with drilled hole with dogs tied to the crates or in them. Money doesn’t seem to be a problem with them ……makes me wonder where do they get the work from ???..

I hope Violet Ann managed to make a real go of her marriage. It's much harder for her because she has had the freedom of her own job, life, education, money and car whereas those who marry at 16 don't really know what they're missing as they'll have been pulled out of school aged 12 and taught how to keep a trailer clean (whilst pooing in the woods) and how to cook and then they marry and start having children.
