Nice to see a person who isn’t a celebrity. It shows how down to earth you really are. Love you Maurice !!😊
I've often asked him to have a non-celebrities on the show.
@@ms_monterroso 👍.. he listens😊
Thank you
Powerful interview! Loved the strength of Ben, your guest!
So MANY Police Officers are strong and everyday heroes.
God Bless you Ben!
Thank you
Your show and book help a lot of people! I recently saw you in Graceland and told you about how I was glad your book came out during Covid. Im a nurse in the Operating Room and when covid hit the Anxiety of the unknown going to work everyday was real. I purchased your book and watched state of mind. So helpful Thank you for all you do to help people
An incredible episode!!! Mr. Martinez has such strength!! Such a deep conversation. Just great. Wow. And thank you for your service.🙏
A fantastic interview, Maurice! I can relate personally to Bi-Polar. I am 65 and still have not be properly diagnosed with the so many other mental health issues, especially panic and anxiety disorders. May God bless you for opening up about your own personal experiences 🙏 And your quests always fit in so well.
Thank you so much, Maurice. You are a wonderful man and you have helped me tremendously.
Thank you
Yes! 💃🏻 Thank you Maurice for switching it up with a non-actor, a Hero! My brother is bi-polar and I have learned a lot from you. 🙏🏼❤️⭐️✨
I love state of mind and love you Maurice Bernard I have watched you since 92 when you started gh
One of your best. Love that Ben is a regular guy. Love the men and women in Blue.💙
Thank you, Maurice, for all that you do.
I so look forward to your State of Mind broadcasts; so very helpful. I appreciate the diversity of the people that you interview. With each episode I’m learning how to better cope with pitfalls of my own mental health. I’m also learning to forgive my mother who was so dysfunctional with her bipolar episodes.
Each one of your guests are so inspiring as you also are. Again, Thank You and God Bless.
Thank you
I am just in awe that these Sunday interviews take away my anxiety and depression for the day. I always look forward to Sunday. It’s remarkable the variety of people you have on. And everything they have been through, including Ben, and including you, Maurice. You will never know how much SOM means to me.Thanks so much for being you. ❤️❤️👏🏼👍🏼
Made me cry
Hope it was happy cry ❤️
I agree with Ben, defunding the police is the most INSANE thing I’ve ever heard in all my years! The world 🌎 would be done.
People please support our professional good hard working police officers. We need them as we need to put God first in our lives. Blessings to all. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼🇺🇸
Thank you Ben for sharing your story 🙏 thank God you did. Suicidal seems easy way out for me. Have to think what happens to my familia. Gun jammed on purpose to save you. God has given you Maurice Benard to spread the word. We all of us are not really alone.
Thank you
I was a police officer. I have CPTSD and an anxiety disorder. This has been a very hard and yet comforting episode. Thank you for sharing your story. It takes a tremendous amount of courage.
I've lost friends to the question,
"What could you not un-see?" -due to line of work or a PTSD issue.
Ben you are very brave and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
Thank you
I was taken back by this interview. I really learned so very much about my husband's time in Cuba that I didn't know.
But more about all my family in law enforcement. Now I have more understanding about their day to day struggle with their mental health.
Maurice, thank YOU for what you do 💕
Best episode of State of Mind. Sure, I love seeing the GH actors, but Ben Martinez was so genuine and vulnerable. Great job, Maurice.
Another great interview loved it
I've really enjoyed this State of Mind :)
Thank you Ben for your honesty and willingness to share with us. You are a brave man and I hate you had to experience all that. I am so thankful you are still with us and the help you can provide others that need to survive the darkness. Thank you for all of your years of service and now a different service. You truly are a hero whether it feels that way or not.
This touched me Maurice. I watched you on GH since you started but this is something else altogether. You are a great man for doing all this and have found an important calling. Thank you.. we are all in this together bud
Hi everyone! ❤
Thank you for bringing this every day hero on your show/podcast. THANK YOU MAURICE! We MUST take care of our LEOs mental health needs.
Praise the Lord he is still here! Great interview hope it helps others.
I have little to no faith in our police but Ben does seem like a good person. Love u Maurice! ❤️
This Is One Of The Best Episodes I Love The Fact That He's Just A Regular Guy It's Good That You Are Open To Having Different Types Of People With Different Opinions It Makes Things Interesting Thanks Maurice For All You Do It's Definitely Made A Difference In My Life God Bless You And Your Family Stay Safe See You On GH
Thank you
Indeed, this was a nice change talking to someone who's not a celebrity. A reminder not that we needed one that whether famous or not we are all human & often go through the same struggles. Many people I think though do ask for help whether their cry for it is directly or indirectly but they may not have the support system some of us have. Other than going to a therapist, all of us can keep an eye open & a shoulder to lean on from time to time for those around us who don't have a solid support group of family or friends who they can turn to for understanding & help. Every little bit counts & can help make all the difference.
Maurice can't wait for state of mind. I look forward to sunday.Thank you much.
Very intense interview!!!
Love you Maurice, so very helpful!

Maurice great chat! What a hero & to be 50 years old to finally get diagnosed wow ! Love GH 30 years & still watching! My therapy along with SOM ! Thank you so much! You have saved me! I'm 💔 since my daughter passed 3months ago ..Freddy always trying to get me....Love ya! 😍
You are stronger than you know
@@MBStateOfMind Thank you Maurice! God bless you & all you do for everyone! Love ya 🥰
I was diagnosed at 49 as well. I turned 50 that year, actually today is my birthday.
I think I've lived with it my whole life without knowing.
For a couple of decades I've (my family & friends) noticed how it got grew worse and worse.
Was finally diagnosed when I was 49 and have had to learn to live with it. It's been difficult but, slowly I've coped, do the best I can and take it one day at all time.
Theee most important thing I do is take my medicine every single day. Don't miss a therapy session and remember that I will have good and bad days.
Absolutely
God Bless all our first responders
Very powerful an sad that it took him so long to get help happy sunday moe!!!!
I can’t wait for the state of mine I’ve been watching you for a little while now it’s very interesting what you have to say
You are an incredible actor, I really love watching GS. It's been my show since I was 4 years old and watching it with my mom while she ironed our clothes ❣️
Listening to you and others that have bipolar, what you were feeling, has helped me come to terms with my fathers death at age 61. He never wanted to talk about it and even after being diagnosed, he didn’t really seem like he truly believed that’s what he had….but it was. He also wasn’t diagnosed until he was 59
Thank you
Just started watching now. Loving it already. Diagnosed at FIFTY!! I can’t imagine finding out now what mental illness I have! I’ve known since I was young. 🙋🏼♀️
❤️🩹
Great inteview

So enjoyed watching this. Maurice you are the greatest. Thank you for bringing him on.🥰♥️🥰♥️
My husband was diagnosed with bi polar recently and it’s been a hard road. He is taking meds for it but doesn’t seem to help him his anxiety is through the roof right now. Seeing a therapist but it’s so hard for him you said the anxiety was the worst part and his is too. I pray he can get it at the very least calmed down. I am listening to all your state of minds just so I can understand what he’s going through. Got 2 books I’m reading but it’s just hard i hate seeing him so anxious.
Great interview! One of the best Maurice. Thank you Ben for your service.
Wow! Ben is so inspiring. I appreciate his candor. This will help a lot of people. Thank you!
Thank you
Buspar gave me some extremely painful headaches. It was prescribed for depression .
Great interview Maurice.
Fantastic show thank you Mr Martinez for telling your story God bless you both
Thank you
Maurice I have been following you for a bit, I am so glad I found you. I don't have mental illness, fingers crossed, but my family does. I've had 2 of my siblings die at the age of 28, seperate times. Drugs, alcohol and other things
It's sad, I believe my sister was bipolar, but I don't know. I get conflicting info. I am older, so I wasn't involved as much. Thank you for your channel.
Thank you
Thank you Ben and Maurice. Great job 👍
Excellent!! More needs to be talked about. Never let the bad guys win even if it is enteral
Hi Maurice 👋 I had to share this on Facebook. It rang true in so many ways for me. I hope this reaches those it is meant to reach and explains to those like myself. Maybe Ben may be able to help more if he speaks more. Bless you both and keep on keeping on. 🙏 💞
Thank you
God is with you both!
Hello Patricia how’re you doing
This is one of the best state of mind that I have seen so far. I would love to know how Ben handled his bipolar was it medication? Or did he just go through it. I know that he was in a mental institution just like you were but how did he deal with his bipolar? It would be great to have them on again.
You’re right absolutely
I agree with you April! I was waiting for Ben to talk about how he coped with the diagnosis of Bi-polar. MEDS? Part 2 Maurice?
This was an awesome episode.
I get such a kick when you talk about not being sure if you graduated High School. 😂....This definitely was a great episode
Thank you

My husband was a law enforcement officer for over 30 years, he finally retired after all the “defund the police “ campaign started.
Loved seeing your son on GH today ❤
Long time gh fan/ sonny just running across this ,I do laundry at a nursing home and I love listening, my husband is bi-polar very informative, entertaining and seeing ur real side is awesome, just wanted to give u a shout ,hopefully u read ur comments if so my name is susie from Kentucky maybe u shout back at me ,.. .fingers crossed ...lol ,. Keep this up its nice to see someone I'm a fan of ,to see you are real normal people as well 😉 ty!!!!!
Thank you
Loved this!
🙏💙🙏
YES! No more defunding the police. I agree that there are some bad apples, but I also think that the media plays a part in portraying them in a way that causes the public to have the wrong impression of police in general. Respect!! 👮🏼♂️👮🏻
Yes
Thank you Ben!!!!

Love you Sunny 😎
Kansas City Police Department is THE ONLY CITY IN THE COUNTRY controlled by the State Legislature!!! It's NOT fair that a state with majority rural counties & a Super Majority Republican Legislature are making decisions for the 2nd largest city in the state! These rural Legislators have NO clue what a metropolitan large city needs! THIS NEEDS TO BE RETURNED TO LOCAL CONTROL. You want to know why the crime is high in Kansas City - because the Mayor & City Council is overruled every single time they try to bring crime down!!!
When are you gonna get Nicholas Chavez on the show Maurice?
I am waiting too! 😍
❤️
Fantastic interview. Definitely hope you are able to get help for more officers. Today's world is so frightening for all. We need their help and we need then in a good state of mind. They are appreciated by majority and deserve the best. Please help them
Very intelligent guest I learned many things listening to Ben. Great interview Maurice as always. REMEMBER BACK THE BLUE. Congrats Maurice❤.
I susbscribed!
Thank you
Hello Deb how’re you doing
@@nicolamclain7465 I’m blessed! And you?
@@dko528 nice to hear from you and I hope you’re having a wonderful day over there . Please may I know where you’re from ?
@@dko528 Hello Deb how’re you doing today and Good morning to you and your family
I've been with my husband 43yrs & he was a Phoenix (Arizona) Police Officer for 26yrs but he had to take a Medical Retirement in 2000. Its been hard watching this defund the police & the Covid shot then so many getting let go because they choose not to take the shot. Now we are seeing officers in situations they don't have the ability to deal with like my husband did. It breaks our hearts seeing them getting shot at when they drive down a street or pull up to a call. My sister-in-law wasn't diagnosed until she was in her 30's & her folks had died. She has now married & has such a better life. Life was full of ups & downs for her. I have a 2nd Cousin who is like my daughter who is Bipolar but she was diagnosed when she was a teen. It has been like a light when on & calmed her life down. She is now married with 3 kids. Your letting people know its ok to get this diagnose from their doctor explains so much & helps the family understand.
Thank you
I didn’t take the gun but I did take the pills 💊. My husband took me to the hospital 🏥. I woke up in physc ward.😢
