I totally get why you feel that way! If you asked me on most days, I'd say I enjoyed Chainsaw Man more overall (for similar reasons as you, I just looked forward to each chapter more), but on some days I'd tell you I liked Fire Punch more because of how it affected me emotionally.

I’ve read CSM and Fire Punch twice, and I have to say between the two, fire punch occupies much more room in my mind. I remembered thinking that most despicable scenes in FP were over the top and overly dark (ch1, neneto and sun in behelmdorg, etc), but on my second read through it seemed much more appropriate and fitting to the world. It feels like these people are so brainwashed and desperate that they will just commit mass systemic atrocities because it is the only way for them to have anything for themselves. I also agree with Agni being a lot like Guts, even down to their body types. I think the key difference is that while Guts suffers in an over-the-top but imagineable way, Agni’s suffering is beyond imagination, and he just can’t overcome it. And there’s also the part of how they overcome their revenge- Guts achieves salvation through deciding to dedicate himself to casca, whereas Agni tries to tell himself and Doma he doesn’t care, and tries to focus on the slaves, but the flames and his memories are just too painful to let go- and he achieves only more suffering after he gets revenge. Fire punch is just like constant suffering on steroids lol. And then those 10 years living undercover- you realize how completely unhinged he is, so defeated by pain that even without being on fire he is still in constant agony. Closing thoughts: So cinematic, such a unique storyline, Togata is probably the best character in the series. My #1 manga, I could probably talk about it forever

I really loved and enjoyed my time while I was reading Fire Punch, and I feel the same as you do, I enjoyed every moment of this manga, from beginning to end. The cinematic paneling and art composition, the amazing action scenes and crazy moments of violence really leave a big impact. Not to mention the fantastic characters and their awesome interactions together. I'm glad that Chainsaw Man is leading more people to read Fire Punch, both are great manga, mostly for different reasons actually, but both are definitely worth a read. Even in Japan, I was very happy to see how much better the volumes from Fire Punch started selling, after CSM started. In the majority of the Japanese volumes that I picked up from Chainsaw Man, on the inside of the obi (promotional wrap around jacket), Fire Punch would be advertised there and that made a lot of CSM readers also try out FP, which is awesome. The last arc and especially the ending is what puts it at the peak level A mind blowing ending that leaves you speechless and shocked for 2 hours after reading proves it. Every next arc have been turning aside the narrative of a whole stort itself and in the last arc it reached an untouchable podium where you can't understand what is going on but with all those insanity of this manga in the mix with depth and complexity of Agni's character(one of the best in animanga) it creates an unforgettable writing Aot? Gintama? Monogatari? Sorry. Fire Punch is the best

I definitely can do a video on Demon Slayer one day! I'll add it to my list. To give you a quick answer, I personally enjoy Demon Slayer. I do like the anime better than the manga though, which is something I hardly if ever say about a series. The manga is good, but the anime is amazing. That being said, I enjoy the world and the characters! As to Hell's Paradise I will for sure do a video on this one in the near future after I get and read the 13th and final volume. It's one of my favorites as of late and I agree, it's really hard to put down once you start it!
