    One of the best reviews so far! Had my TI-L for 1.5 weeks now and i have to say it packs quite a punch, as for the steering youve mentioned washy? Much improved on the T32 which i just traded, majes this baby so easy to Park with an electric assisted steering, the engine has a lot of punch and wants to get up and go.
    So much room and options i am loving this car, sat in others before buying and they feel so pokey, this is a beautifully organised car

      @@jamesmwilliams1 Hi James, i do, they are great fun, the new one has plenty of go, for kids the back doors open open out the most in class giving easy access, for me baby seat! there is some great deals, the steering is very light being electronic assist, the Ti-L has a 10 speaker bose system and the interior is so much more upmarket, i chose the light Tan black combo which really looks elegant, take a test drive you won't be dissapointed, the hight inside cabin is more plentiful also prob best in class, don't listen to the old tslk about the cvt i've never had an issue even with the last model. give it a go! they are offering a better deal now, one thing i reccomend check out if the servicing bothers you every 10,000 and a little bit more than others, i got my first service thrown in for free the 1

      @@jamesmwilliams1 I shore do love mine servicing a bit pricey every 10,000k's but i got my first full service thrown in, bought on their finance so i can change or hand back at 4yrs also their Insurance is a good deal good luck on your decision, try one for a drive very easy around town.

    The first thing I noticed was the luxury drive that it gives, way above most other cars in the price range.

    135 kW power for this vehicle is good for it's size, but 244 NM of torque is way short of what it needs.
    The engine is the same one from 15 years ago and it struggles to tow a fully laden (750kg) box trailer.
    A small pop top caravan is beyond it's capacity.
    That said, it's a nice daily drive, if you can live with a cvt.
    But really, who wants to "drive" a cvt ?

    • @Drivecomau
      @Drivecomau  Рік тому +4

      We don't disagree that a little extra torque would go a long way to helping out the X-Trail in most day-to-day situations.
      Worth pointing out too, that while the 2.5-litre capacity is the same, the PR25DD series engine in this car isn't a carry-over of the QR25DE from the previous model, but rather is a new-generation engine.

    a definite move forward for Nissan and not before time. I always read comments that a CVT is a no for some people, that means a lot of cars are off their list. I also read a lot of comments about DCT issues. Perhaps electric is best for them and no transmission.

    Only downsides to this car are the Servicing intervals and servicing costs.
    How does the outlander, which is the same mechanically offer 12 month 15k kms servicing and the x trail not? + average of 500+ every service for the first 5 years?? That’s steep.

    I owned 2023 Xtrail TI-L and MY2018 CRV VTI-L7. Xtrail is much more smoother & quite compare to CRV since new. Less bodyroll on the Xtrail & more responsive also.

    What's the advantage or disadvantage of the CVT gear box. I'd buy this new x trail but that gear box 🤔

    • @joelbowden3207
      @joelbowden3207 Рік тому +2

      Advantage is they are super smooth in everyday driving around town and are more fuel efficient than a torque converter. Downsides- if you like flooring your car everywhere, they become a bit elasticky and thrashy.

    I’ve had a drive of the base model on 17 inch wheels and would say that the ride quality is nowhere near as plush as an equivalent Kia sportage (on 17inch wheels). Don’t understand how all x trail reviews praise it’s ride quality. It’s average. Sportage, Tucson, RAV4, forester and CRV are all better.
