I do not support the mods in anyway shape or form, but it is actually fairly likely that one of the mods may have been doxxed because if you remember a couple week ago, r/animemes was "hacked" and so was temporarily shut down
ngl , when I read the title thought this was about twitter and I wouldn’t of been surprised if it did end up being about twitter with how things have happened
Never attribute to malice what can be explained with ignorance. I'd like to believe ZeeDownfall on this one and I do have a few reasons: - He heavily implied that he did not agree with the rest of the mods on most of what happened - He allegedly did end up leaving the mod teami of his own free will - He is now on goodanimemes - Many people on that thread implied that he kept up communications with the community when the rest of the team went silent. He just couldn't make any public announcements, but did respond to modmail The lack of evidence can be explained, as well. Assuming he was not personally doxxed, what evidence does he have? It would be in the hands of the mods that were actually doxxed and he would have to ask them for it. Since there does seem to be a rift between him and the rest of the mods, it is plausible they wouldn't give it to him or he didn't want to ask in the first place. Sure, he could be lying about all of it, but unless I find a compelling reason to believe that he was, I shall assume that he speaks the truth.
One problem, he said that he was doxxed. He was in the minority on the mod team and was opposed to the radio silence. I would like to believe him but it would be best to release proof. One of the users in the replies mentioned finding the pastebin of doxxed info. If it turns out to be a lie I'll be even more disappointed
As someone who hates the animemes mods. I know for a fact at least 2 were indeed doxxed. I was searching for something else when I accidentally stumbled upon the doxxed info. Though whether that was someone from the animemes community or not is another question altogether. Also just one person doing that doesn't mean the whole community is to blame.
My question would be that if they were indeed doxxed, what is stopping them from providing evidence whilst censoring any personal information that was revealed?
@@wakamitai5952 lol My guess is that it would lead to people to want to look for the source of those censored images. Which I guess is kind of understandable. I have no opinion either way myself. It's all just drama at the end of the day.
@@wakamitai5952 Yep. But my question is. If it's so obvious your entire community hates you why not step down. The ban was so unpopular it literally led to the sub dying yet their pride has kept them from recognize the error in their ways as they continue to follow the whims of a vocal minority that may or may not have been a part of the animemes community. The most obvious sign that they may not have been part of the community was when the mods went to a trans subreddit to basically boast about instituting a rule on the animemes subreddit. Plus their comments insinuated that the ban was at the behest of that community. Edit: Forgot to add. It didn't help that a mod used his alt to make a post on that trans subreddit boasting about the rule and making fun of the animemes community.
If you've actually read the post and replies from this mod, this is one of the better mods that actually communicated with community before the shutdown. And he is outlier in the mod team. So his words definitely hold more weight than the other moderators.
It could have. Alot of people came to see the subbreddit burn down. I didn't know about it until someone made a comment in a tumblrinaction post. Some might've rallied to join the fight and took it too far.
Another possible reason for privating the community is to stop people from leaving until enough time passes that people forget about it-- it is super hard to leave a privated community
The possibility is there yes, but when pressed for the information they did not reciprocate it. All they needed to do was provide a screenshot with the sensitive information blacked out.
Ya'know attacking the very people who use your site is a pretty bad idea. They might, well... defend themselves and that's just the unoffended mature ones. Now if you upset those people with actual power, you could see your site dead in seconds! It's not wise to poke a Gorilla when standing in the cage; it might, well, attack back. Probably because you upset it.
Honestly, I feel that they have to show proof and if someone did doxx them, then the doxxer should get punished, we have to establish justice to all even to those that we hate cause if we just say. "Haha they got doxxed" that makes us no better than them.
i’m not sure if it actually happened, but i don’t think it’s out of the question. i’d believe it could happen, given the modern social climate of people on the internet. not saying it did, because i sure wouldn’t know

They can never accept that they’ve made a mistake, their minds won’t allow it.
I've said it once I'll say it again while the whole doxxing situation is definitely too far I'm not going to shed a single fucking tear for them...
I do not support the mods in anyway shape or form, but it is actually fairly likely that one of the mods may have been doxxed because if you remember a couple week ago, r/animemes was "hacked" and so was temporarily shut down
These guys really don't have nothing to do do they?
No, they live sad lives
@@zozobegone2.076 we get entertainment out of it. So W for us.
@@GlowBug1120 yeah🤣
ngl , when I read the title thought this was about twitter and I wouldn’t of been surprised if it did end up being about twitter with how things have happened
I still use reddit but not twitter
Never attribute to malice what can be explained with ignorance.
I'd like to believe ZeeDownfall on this one and I do have a few reasons:
- He heavily implied that he did not agree with the rest of the mods on most of what happened
- He allegedly did end up leaving the mod teami of his own free will
- He is now on goodanimemes
- Many people on that thread implied that he kept up communications with the community when the rest of the team went silent. He just couldn't make any public announcements, but did respond to modmail
The lack of evidence can be explained, as well.
Whatever can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.
*This is still basically mods brewing memes*
The mods still allowed the Revolution to last long to the point outsiders came to either Support the Revolution or Fan the Flames.
I love this style so simple yet powerful edited. Also honestly why remove the word trap... Hmm seems they walked right into one...
We are indeed guilty...of being awesome😆
Why would people trust someone who's been caught lying a lot
Im just weirded out why someone would just get mad enough about a server and threatening people and calling the police,
Mods: We were doxxed!
Sources: Dude trust me.
"Anime fans are guilty"
So, are you saying that you are not a fan of Anime? Welp, ladies and gentlemen, we got 'em. They said it themselves.
I think the Mods are trying the whole I can't have done anything wrong because I am the victim Thing.
When do we get to cancel twitter?
The only thing I am guilty of is looking for Rule 34 pics of various series.
Weebs are a very divided group. Hard to generalize though I do think many are oversensative.
I believe that to be the case for anitubers as well
As someone who hates the animemes mods.
@@RenegadeAngel27 I guess they'd have to deal with the original image first, so fair point.
Hard to believe given how much they have lied
People have tried this in the past and it didnt go well.
Evidence is required for me to believe any claim.
Always with the accusations of death threats.
Mods: We are the victims!
Community: And we are Mr. Ntr!
_wide grin_
If you've actually read the post and replies from this mod, this is one of the better mods that actually communicated with community before the shutdown. And he is outlier in the mod team. So his words definitely hold more weight than the other moderators.
As the old saying goes "Pics or it didn't happen"
Zee was the best mod on that sub. He actually talked to us and was just trying to do his job
Of course I don't believe it. It's the same tactic they always use when they're caught out.
I just wanna state, that mod was fairly active in communicating with the community.
Now the Mods are playing the victims 😂
It was a war among the mods, they were / are doxing EACH OTHER, you assume the users are being accused but it does not say that.
ZeeDownfall is the only mod that has been communicating with the community, so i’m inclined to believe him. Not all the mods are bad.
Daniel Newville shark is a good mod as well
@@C.Dickey yea he's pretty decent.
as someone who was on animemes before it went private, thank you for making this video calling the mods out.
It could have. Alot of people came to see the subbreddit burn down. I didn't know about it until someone made a comment in a tumblrinaction post. Some might've rallied to join the fight and took it too far.
The possible logics behind the word "Freespeech Warrior" legit scare me.
Mess with the bull which is the anime community, and you get the horns!
I don't believe rumours, I believe evidence.
Why were they against the word “trap” anyway? I’m so confused.
If the mods were doxxed and swatted, how the hell isn't this whole fiasco on the television already?
Plot twist: the one that doxxed the mods was actually a sub-account of one of the mods.
Now that would _really_ spice things up.
Another possible reason for privating the community is to stop people from leaving until enough time passes that people forget about it-- it is super hard to leave a privated community
Was that the same subreddit that banned the word trap.
The point is: it isn't our fault. Yeah, maybe someone doxxed them, but not the whole anime community
The possibility is there yes, but when pressed for the information they did not reciprocate it. All they needed to do was provide a screenshot with the sensitive information blacked out.
DIO was right about the humanity....
You could just say that you didn’t want them to get swatted and doxxed, and leave it at that.
They dig another grave for them.
Honestly, I feel that they have to show proof and if someone did doxx them, then the doxxer should get punished, we have to establish justice to all even to those that we hate cause if we just say. "Haha they got doxxed" that makes us no better than them.
They did this to themselves!
i’m not sure if it actually happened, but i don’t think it’s out of the question. i’d believe it could happen, given the modern social climate of people on the internet. not saying it did, because i sure wouldn’t know
If someone isn't willing to provide evidence you can ignore what they say, Nobody should be able to make a claim that is automatically believed because its not out of the question.
Scavenger oh i know. i agree with you completely, i didn’t mean to say i believed them. i don’t believe them.
I mean, this is pretty common in pretty much any drama on the internet that has a somewhat big community. Its something that sadly comes with anonymity. Not advocating against anonymity. Its just the bad side of the internet that will always be there. With something good, theres bound to be something negative. Nothings perfect.
