Oh, very interesting! I rewatched a few times to follow along with you. As a matter of fact, I was able to follow the backward knot easily after you slowed it down, and I could then follow it easily from the beginning when you did two backward knots in a row after the initial forward knot when you started. I had to watch it a couple of times to see the forward knot. I 🤔 I finally got that one! In crochet, there's a crochet term where the yarn is wrapped around the post of the crochet stitch called around the post and also behind the post. It's actually similar when you see the results. Cool, Dr. H! Thanks for showing us this!

Whoa so cool. Im gonna try it on my dishwasher too, 😁. So what makes these knots special? They use combination of forward knot and backward knot, so as not to come undone? Or better for better scarring? Or does it make it easy to cut out?

My late husband had some weird circle stitch after a lung surgery. I think it was where the chest tube was. (He had multiple surgeries for cancer.) It was pre-vaccine/Covid start time. He did not want to go in to remove his stitches because he was in chemo/immunocompromised. I had a heck of a time trying to get that one out. It was really tight and I could not get in to cut it. I did manage to get all 79 of his craniotomy staples out- they gave me the proper staple remover. But, he ended up going in to get that stitch out. I felt a little better about my lack of skills when the doctor had a hard time removing it. There are some fancy sutures out there.
