This version of this song is one of my favorite songs of all time. I cried to it on Spotify many times and it’s truly upsetting that it’s gone and replaced by a throwaway simplification of this masterpiece
Felt the same way. Was happy to see it was on the album after being sad it was removed from Spotify but was so incredibly disappointed when I heard it 😔
They're playing this version on tour right now! It was so beautiful hearing this version live. There are also some other tracks that are a lot different than the album versions in the live show, like Real Pain. Go see her live!
I really like this song, I cant stop listening to this. It just seems to mean a lot to me, and watching these guys perform you can see the love they have for the creation of their music. The bassist is absolute sick x
i feel bad that i prefer this version way more than the album counterpart, but i just cant really get behind the hyperpop mixing when i was so used to their music that IS grounded in reality
I totally agree… Between this and the lyric changes in Bad Dream there are just a few things in the album that are gonna take a few listens to actually get used to. I still love the album, but these songs don’t have the same punch they did before :/ hopefully now that the album is out they’ll put these back up
the beautiful thing about music is that you can take away whatever meaning you want from this song. Obviously she had her own thing in mind when she wrote it, but you can interpret it however you see fit.
Pretty sure it’s about an adolescent heartbreak that killed her youthful innocence or something, and changed the way she loves. this is the way I’m going to bend/ now that the baby’s gone.” kinda makes me think that. either that, or an abortion. either one would’ve definitely killed innocence. But these are just guesses. It could be anything. Only indigo knows
Remember listening to this a few years ago. It still holds so much for me.
I’m so sad that this version isn’t on platforms anymore :( got me through so much
This version is so much more better than the one from the album

@@angelsilva7207 for sure... hopefully this version gets put back up on streaming services
Both versions are great
I didn't know Geddy Lee played the bass.
Can someone tell me about the meaning of this song? I don't want to make too many assumptions without actually knowing.

@@Bivuki777 Yeah! Here specifically though I was looking forward to hearing her perspective.
