Wow thank you, i carefully followed your steps and i can now continue my capstone project. At the same time, it truly helped me understand some notions we've seen during the course. Great job !
Thank you man, this is what I needed to kickstart my project - I got discouraged because I got so many errors simply trying to upload the data to excel or sql, and I don't really feel like doing it in R would do me much good at this point in my career.
thank you for this! I needed help with all those errors I got for my Capstone and I used the same SQL that you used instead of BigQuery because the data was too large I had to find an alternative! Thank you for everything that was shared🙂

I can't see where the error might be..
hey so like at 15:52 what if mine data type is already float and null and when i write this SUM function it gives me a big sum do i still need to create the table and whts the purpose of this ??
hey i think i found the solution to your problem, resave your excel file with "save as" and then type to Excel 2016, then when uploading state that its a Excel2016 File (so the file types match) and it should upload just fine , hope this helps!

Hello good video i have a question why in the beggining of the video you choosed only the selected data and how did you know you have to merge hourly calories steps etc and not the others like sleep thanks
Hi. I checked all the csv files and saw that the other files were basically giving me the same information, but just structured differently. It all comes down on how you want to do the analysis and what questions you want to answer.
Thank you very much for this video, as I I'm doing the same project now, I have some questions: 1. I couldn't import xlsx file in any ways so I opened that xlsx file in Excel saved it as csv and then imported it like other files (import flat file) is that ok or I should import it as xlsx? 2. In the beginning of this video you merged 'hourly_calories', 'hourly_intensities' and 'hourly_steps' using Excel, but I think it is possible to do that using SQL, using JOIN Clause isn't it? 3. Could you do the second part of this video - Visualisation in Tableau or PowerBI which is also very important part of Data Analysis Process. Thank you!
Hi. Check the merged files if there are no Duplicates. Other files have millions of rows such as heart rate file. So merging it on excel will be difficult.
Thank you very much for this great job. Please, can you share the result of your analysis ? I just completed Google Coursera data analysis certificate and I am not yet sure of what I do. What I found from doing what you did in your analysis is that: The audience tend to make more effort and get more results during the beginning of the tracking, and less as Time goes on. Also that, they tend to start exercising a little from 4 AM to 2 PM, and much from 3 PM to 7PM. Please is my sharing right from your analysis ? or what can I improve please ? Thanks in advance.
Hello! Quick question. At 3:43 I am not able to merge by both columns. Excel only lets me merge by one, and I end up having millions of results instead of 22K. I am only merging using ID. Can anyone help?
When connecting for the first time after installing SQL Server Management Studio, you will be asked to confirm server type, name and Authentication. Just pick the default. Remember this server is local server on your machine.
If the rows are not the same you must make sure you use the correct join because you will end up having Null values. Example: use left join if the left table has fewer rows than the table on the right.
You can use any visualisation tool to create reports and dashboards. From PowerBI you can connect to SQLSever and load it. I could not load it to Tableau directly, so I first loaded it to Excel then from excel to Tableau
Hy, I also struggled a bit with this one. Just make sure your query looks exactly like in 23:44 where I added a query to drop the table if it already exists. If you still get an error, save your work and restart your sql. That should solve that glitch.
@@roromg344 okay. That error tells us that the table is already created. What you can do is Comment out the lines of code for dropping and creating the table. Use /* at the beginning of the code and */ at the end of the code. Then run the query for inserting data into the table. Be careful to run it once otherwise you will get duplicated data.

Hi. Sorry about tye late response. Did you finally manage to fix the error?
Data Type should be date. But if it does not work, you can leave it as string data Type. You will use sql query to convert it once loaded.
@@sbonelondhlazi8970 Yes, it also happened to me. I just put NVARCHAR(MAX), and I changed it in SQL, creating the dataset.
@@sbonelondhlazi8970 so while importing and modifying the columns, the data type should be or can be 'nvarchar'??
