At 4:20 into the video with the carb upside down, there is a brass tube toward the bottom of the screen or the front of the carb and one carb has it and the other does not, what does that do? I notice there isn't a replacement, and only one carb has it. I thought missing one was causing a problem I'm having where I cant get the idle right there is a periodic surge. It seems the right side carb without the choke is missing that tube and seems to run wet, meaning excess gas. I thought that tube had something to due with it and possibly the reason for the idle race after idling fine for a few. I cant figure out the condition. I have a twist throttle, the reeds appear to be fine, carbs have been taken apart and cleaned, perhaps need floats re-adjusted but beyond that there are no vacume leaks and I can't just figure it out
when i spray carb cleaner inside this tube, it comes out of the hole where the removed choke plug should sit (left carb). so it must be a choke thing. the brass tube actually should be on both carbs, but i think, on the right sided carb it is unused. doesn't matter if the tube is there or missing. the right carb gets its extra fuel by the left carb with choke plug. but the brass tube has to be inside the left carburetor at least, otherwise the choke circuit won't work i guess.
love the video brother!! I'm having a hard time with starting my 96 banashee. I just got it. when it does start it runs great! however it idles like shit.... It does have the tors delete and the guy said he just rebuilt the carbs. I've been reading that there's a difference between the two float bowls but I can't tell. perhaps you could do a quick vid on the differences between the flat bowls??
Hey love your videos, I brought a banshee last year (I have very little 2stroke experience/knowledge) My banshee when engine cold struggles to start… it will eventually. When it’s warm it’s half a kick and it’s away I go. Also when i get it warm it rides fine… Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Sam
What do you think of the lectron carburetor kits for the banshee? I am using a pwk 28 mm flat slide carburetor. Do you think it's worth the money for the upgrade?
DHG JoeMomma No you can reuse your old stuff as long as the carbs aren't flooding. I advise you to keep the needles separate between left and right carbs though. Swapping them could cause them to start to drip.
awesome video!! question though...I have an 06 banshee, just moved from Delaware to New Mexico. it was jetted for sea level, but now I'm at 4000 ft. average temp will be 70-90. stock carbs, no airbox, tors eliminator...what size main jet and pilot jet would you recommend to go to? it bogs from idle-1/8 throttle. thanks!!
yeeeeeeeee Man I haven't jetted anything up that high. Weird that it's bogging, should be way rich up there. You'll have to come down on the mains a size or 2. On the pilot circuit, close up the air screws some and see how it responds. Plug chops are gonna be your friend. Start where you are and work down.
South Texas Banshee sounds good, I just don't even know what size the mains are (just rebuilt th carb, numbers are faded, and I just got the banshee before I got stationed here). thanks for the reply man!
@@chrisbuffoni I’m from New York City what needle position ,jets,& mains should I use at 60 ft above sea level also I’m using fmf fatty gold series full exhaust ..... PLEASE I need the help I have the kit I’ll learning as I go & I have a get bike . Let me know your set up
@@MaxWell-in8sh I'm not sure man. I never got it jetted correctly so ended up selling it and get ta new beta dirt bike instead. Good luck! Even when I took it to the yamaha dealer they couldn't get it jetted right.
Hey man, thanks for these videos. Are all the carb parts safe to leave in the carb cleaner over night? Can I leave the choke and the floats in there? Dont know if the solution will eat the plastic.
Hey buddy. i want to thank you for the videos. I have a question. i rebuild my carbs. i put in a 210 main jet with a 25 pilot. My bike has fmf pipes and k&N filters. Besides that its all stocked. what setup do you recommend. that is the jetting that came in the carb kit. The old setup was 200 main and 30 pilot. Thanks for your service.
please help ASAP my banshee runs then when i give it gave it bogs down then i give it gas again and it runs but when i kick it into first and start to ride it dies out please help me asap thank you
What about the emulsion tube and the air jet in front near where the intake goes?
When I took my carbs apart, I didn’t have splash guards. Are they important?
If my choke is damaged do I have to replace the whole carburetor? Or can I replace my choke?

great video! 2 questions, 1) what did you soak them in? 2) do u soak them with the bowls on them or do u take apart then soak them?

Is their a different tuning procedure if you are running the OEM air box. I live in Florida.
Thank You. Great Presentation

Do you need the jet splash guard? One carb has it the other doesnt.
I'm going to do the tors removal kit and I was wondering. Do I have to buy a carb kit along with all the stuff or can I reuse the old parts?

Np, yea being you don't know what jets are in it, you don't really have a starting point. Put in 290 mains and start plug chopping there.

What is the black paint on the slide.
I removed this entire paint from the slide until it turned yellow ..
Did I do wrong?
Gerson Silva it's just a plating, it wears off over time. You should be fine
hey what size carbs do I need to run on my banshee if it's a 350 bored to a 490cc

210 mains with pipes is very lean. You should be around 260 mains with a lid and 280's if your aren't running a lid.
Who makes the best rebuild kit to get OEM spec?
What model is that carb ?
please help ASAP my banshee runs then when i give it gave it bogs down then i give it gas again and it runs but when i kick it into first and start to ride it dies out please help me asap thank you
Tom Green sounds like the pilots are too lean. Pull the choke to half choke and see if it gets better, if it does that will tell you.
South Texas Banshee its not getting gas though and there is an air bubble in the hose connected to the fuel petcok
hey is there any way we can talk I got some questions about my banshee
I need help rebuilding 97 banshee carbs I have the kit . If u can post a gd vid I’d really appreciate it everyone seems to show lil by lil smh
My don’t have those plastic things
I know you're very busy with a ton of comments My choke will not stay open
