My good lady and I did these two tops on seperate days last Autumn. We used the coffin pathway on Ling passing the derelect shooting buts. The weather was similar to what you had and indeed I nearly lost my baseball cap on the top of Ling. I agree that they are two very enjoyable fells to wander around on and would not hesitate to revisit. Your videos and dialogue are most enjoyable to watch and are making the process of choosing our walks for our next visit in around 4 weeks time! Many thanks for posting all of these. Best wishes Chris
Thank you good sir for the kind words. Like I said in the video I always have a few short walks ready to go with their maps downloaded and postcodes to parking locations noted. I find it really hard to plan walks and then do them as I prefer to have multiple options available as I drive to the Lakes as I am quite indecisive most of the time and decide on instinct.
Great video Dave, 2 great fells. I've never seen you move as quick before when your cap flew off!! We did Sale Fell a few years ago as a recovery day/easy day and as you saw the views over Bassenthwaite are spectacular. I love fells where you can't really get lost, so many paths and tracks to follow. Agree completely about the mess left by wild campers - out of order completely but sadly it's a reflection of our society today that doesn't care about anyone else but themselves. Regards, Ashley
Yea it's a nice level of comfort when you cant really get lost.. puts that out of your mind to focus on what's infront of you and you can wander off the paths a little and still feel safe.. cheers for watching lad 🙂
aye this was a while ago, av possibly changed my stance on it since then and have seen the fire pits on top of many hills since, especially raven crag :/
Outstanding video

Beautiful day for a walk. Nice video 👍
Yea sometimes unplanned walks turn out to be the best which in this case worked out really well. Thanks for watching :)

Nice video Dave and thanks for taking us along with you on walk
Thank you for watching as always, I appreciate it :)
Unfortunately any fire or bbq are banned in national parks for safety reasons . Moorland fires and forest fires will destroy everything in it path. 😮
