i really like the concept of a gel blaster, it is the bridge between airsoft and nerf where ammo is disposable, but safe enough to play indoors or outdoors without the ammo collecting cost and hassle of nerf. They also seem cheaper than a comparable rate of fire and fps blaster than nerf or any other foam flinging offering.
I hope the c o o f subsides so I can actually give gel blasters a proper shot for a long period of time.
eh, some gel blasters can easily cause welts through clothes no problem. more like a bridge in between nerf, paintball and airsoft, combines most of the good and bad of each
not gonna lie, I 100% would be interested in buying and using gel blasters if I didn't already have a giant arsenal of nerf blasters already (and I'm too lazy to sell them off lol). It has everything that I care about (high ammo capacity, reduced clean-up time, environmentally friendly ammo, a growing selection of clearly fictional blasters as well as firearm replicas for the milsim crowd), and the cons are near negligible for me.

not to mention you probably won't get shot for bringing it around your neighborhood
Hey from BHam AL, I am hopeful for gel blasters especially the sci-fi designed ones. Love foam blasters and used to play airsoft. I think gel balls are a perfect in between.
That direction is the correct one.
Really not at all interested in adopting gel blasters in my own arsenal but it's at least interesting to see what's going on in an adjacent hobby space.
Being able to have ammo for gel blasters at a dirt cheap price is great. If I were u I would look into them. Playing with friends is amazing. It’s as if ur playing airsoft but it doesn’t hurt as bad and is safer. It is very fun and the rate of fire on these guns is amazing
@@TheAlbanian638 I prefer the reusable nature of foam ammo and the resource management aspect of ammo economy their more limited capacity entails. I do not care for airsoft and while I find gel blasters more appealing than airsoft is, it's still very much not of interest to me compared to foam blasters.

they are so much better than nerf, nerf is to the point where you dont even feel it and this is fun cause it kinda stings a little if you get hit so it makes it so much more fun.
it's awesome got mine 4 weeks ago love it and the battery has no problem shooting 5 thousand rounds before it slows down. thats alot of shots.

I really like this sci-fi design it looks cool in my opinion.
Despite looking a bit like the Worker Swift, I am digging the clean sci-fi aesthetic we’re getting back to. Must be my inner child still longing for that sleek Lazer Tag StarLyte Pro.
You know what, if you look at the blaster without the barrel attachment, look at the part above the grip that runs all the way to the back, it reminds me of the Worker Swift!

the sweatiest loadout for this blaster would be either 2 pistol or both with the stock. That would be a juggernaut loadout and a competitive loadout would be just one pistol and stock without the barrel extension
That thing looks neat
Careful with the water beads around the pupper. There have been cases of intestinal blockage from ingesting the ammo. I have a gel blaster side arm that I use as back up with a nexus pro in outdoor games. They also make glow beads that are really fun for low light games.
The fact that he’s even shooting around the dog is irresponsible. This was awful to watch. I know these things are accurate enough to shoot close enough to where you’re aiming it, but it’s basic safety. He shot over the dog multiple times. This was incredibly irresponsible.
Probably force of habit from using the foam projectors.
Not that that excuses him from it, though.
@@typehere6689 You might be right. Still concerning since foam blasters at this point are easily hitting 150+ fps. That could leave marks on people, never mind dogs.

You didn't chrono without the barrel extension on -- does the FPS go down when you attach that?
you said about testing the attachments on the chronograph but you never tested it without the barrel.

Jason Did Get The Unlocx gel blaster for Christmas last year I haven’t use the gels water bullets just yet I’m still getting used to the blaster and I love it that it can change. I like how it’s a Ford and one blaster that can change and I wish that Nerf would do something like this. Not like a Joe blaster but a Nerf gun that could be four and one that would be kind of cool to see this year in the Nerf blasters afford one Nerf blaster would be kind of cool
I would be excited to play a gel ball match with our local club. We have talked about it but haven't done it yet.
You could use that for a Destiny cosplay. Looks like an Omolon.
Can you put a microphone down range? maybe a plywood target? get that nice ASMR impact noises. would be nice for Nerf content as well.

I Got 2 SRB 400’s and I love using them
The group that I play with we just do tdm and capture the flag but I am not aware if there are any big groups/events in the hobby but would be cool to see
Do yo think the unlocx is better then the SRB 400 or close to it?
@@jadenr9671 SRB400 shoots at 210+ FPS so you'll get a bit more range. The fire rate is about 8 rps, so a bit slower. Unlocx wins the coolest design battle. I'm getting an Unlocx soon and will compare the two.

they have electric gel pistols but almost all of them have a reservoir bottle sticking out of the top like a hopper.
How does it Chrono with the short barrel??

Most AEG blaster nowadays are just conversion of airsoft AEG, I own a M4 look a like gel blaster that does around 280fps at 14rps, they’re like airsoft for countries that bans airsoft

i do love this gel blaster but it is loud which i have no issue with but my neighbours look around when i fire it in my back yard lol...but when they see it they smile and say ok cool. because it looks like a starwars blaster and or a pulse blaster from the movie aliens sort of. love the gun thou. real good quality all around.i payed $154 canadian for it and worth every penny. note to what i see only 1 sling strap would like to see 2 at some point and maybe a side rail too at some point ,,,, but awesome gun for the gel blaster sport top notch.

The gel blaster looks really nice. Do the gel balls biodegrade? What are they made of? I’m open to adding gel blasters to our nerf wars as long as they are safe and we aren’t getting into airsoft levels of discomfort from tags ( we have a lot of kids that come to our wars so we keep it tuned down a bit)
add an FPS cap, i got hit by a few gel balls coming out of a 400 fps gun, it stung like an airsoft. Im guessing a 200 fps would probably just feel like a higher end nerf gun
Yeah, they are made of hydrogel ,and bio degrade , quite safe and clean

Hey mate, this sport has exploded in Aus. They don't hurt as much as Airsoft unless you get a gel ball called the xtac boom. They're totally biodegradable, and the softer gel balls are used at our nerf games. Alternatively, gel blaster snipers suck ass due to the soft ammo being inaccurate long range, and so we're staying to see foam snipers appear in milsim gel games. Definitely recommend getting a basic gel blaster and learning how to modify/play with them. Good middle ground between foam and Airsoft. Loads of little kids using them over here.
Ive been full autoed by a 250 ish fps gel blaster and point blank, Hurts but at a few feet not really

P.S. I have seen some gel blaster sidearms, you can get some automatic electric pistols where the hopper is a little scope and the battery's in the grip. Haven't tried them though...

the prominent serial number is probably for places like Australia who want to consider these "firearms"
in Victoria and Tasmania, this blaster would probably be legal to own without a license since it doesn't really resemble a firearm. In Queensland they don't require anything and can be bought from a store. In South Australia you'd need to register it to use it, which is incredibly stupid.
I don't like gel blasters for the cleanup required - but that blaster looks amazing!
