  • Join me for one of my New Music Finds shopping excursions at my local record store. Jack’s Music Shoppe is one of the biggest record stores around. While it does carry vinyl, it’s known for its absolutely enormous selection of CDs. They’re located at 30 Broad Street in Red Bank New Jersey, and are one of the last real record stores. If you’re in the area make sure to check them out for that old school record store experience.

@@BrendonSnyderwe have a Newbury comics which basically stocks new cd releases and one small independent that basically deals with metal. Thank God for Amazon and eBay 😂. I was wondering your thoughts on the Dirty Shirley cd you showed.

Fantastic record shop Brendon! And beautiful storefront. Looked like you were in Camden (UK). Love that H. R. Giger Debbie Harry cover!
Enjoy your finds and weekend, cheers from Morten.

I would spend $200+ no problem, that place has so many vinyls that are hard to find nowadays 😅

Fantastic trip Brendon, down into the musical rabbit hole. I also like how you just show us stuff, no need for blah blah commentary, and the type inset works fine to give small info. Hard to find anything like that here in Australia. It makes me want to fly there and lose myself in CD wonderland. Yeah im a bit jealous! "Keep on Rockin in the Free World" mate.

I wish I lived near stores like this. The closest record store to me is about 600 kms away. Ugh.

I used to know Prescott Niles who was the bass player for The Knack. He gave my buddy/bandmate guitar lessons and he sold me a kick-ass Yamaha drum kit! i wish I still had it!

@@BrendonSnyder I’m sure it’s total boo boo but I dig that artwork for that live album. Too bad they didn’t have the first two albums there. Those two albums rip. Especially Sufficiently Breathless.

@@braindeadrichard ...I'm more of their debut kind guy. Got that for Xmas 1972...SB on Xmas 1973...and was disappointed. No Bobby Caldwell & the Hard Rock with odd meter was sorta gone. Decades later & went back. Some of it is like early Santana & I really dig it now. The debut to me is just special.

@@BrendonSnyder Agree. I pick up everything by these guys. The original 3 LPs (all framed) then the cds.
Tell you what...it took a long time for the original albums to be released domestically. I was about to buy a Japan cd of the debut ($35) & just happened to be visiting the Record Store down the street (called TRACKS, kinda like PEACHES) & damn, they had the debut album on cd for $7.99 About cried listening to it on the ride home. ;-)

Been to Bananas but it’s been years, will have to check out again soon. 95ynf was my favorite radio station back in the day, 98 Rock still going. I live in the city where Savatage originated.
